Awesome. It's strange how many the box stores Cabelas and Bass Pro has to sell. I would figure the small dealers would be getting them. Are you going to make some videos?
Hi mowerdog, nice work. So how does the Manticore compare to the eTrac when hitting on deep iron/nails? I’ll admit the eTrac fooled me many times on iron. Lol. Have you found that the Manticore can separate iron and good targets when the two are close to each other? Thx
The etrac hits deep rusty iron when pushing its limits running high manual sensitivity. So will the Manticore and really any other make or model. It does separate better than the etrac and has a ton more tone options. Really the only thing the etrac does better is making and saving multiple discrimination patterns. But ml is aware and I feel this will be remedied in an update.
Very good question. I'm going to put the M against the 540 on some tough targets to see how they compare. I'm going to sell my etrac and simplex but keeping my 540.
I'll have to get my Garrett AT Pro out and go metal detecting now. You've inspired me to get the dust off my detector and go detecting. Looks like the Manicore is hot on nickels.
@@mowerdog We just got through having an ice storm down here in Texas. Now that the ice has melted, the ground is all a wet mush. I'll have to wait until things dry out a bit. I might even get my old Lobo S.T out and see if it will sniff up anything.
@@mowerdog gotcha. Got a manticore right before winter started and had been watching lots of vids on settings. Still getting used to mine and can’t wait for it to warm up to use it some more
Manticore is awesome! I like that metal detector better all the time! Thanks for the video.
It's growing on me too.
I ordered my Manticore Saturday morning from Cabela's!!!!

Nice video. Do you like that machine better than your 540 ???

Mower, when was this hunt? Was this in C. Mo? Wondering if ground is still thawed. Thanks
I don't know the exact date but about two weeks ago. Not sure if the ground is thawed? The hunt was in J. Mo

It's going to be nice in missouri tomorrow.

Well I got my nickel's worth watching this video.....thanks
Lol. Yes Sir
Have you hunting that park in the past with other detectors?
Yes. This small area has been hunted with a cz70, etrac and 3030 in the past.
@@mowerdog I expected that it had. Seems like the Manticore is doing a good job of pulling out overlooked targets.
@@larrystephens7437 I think so. Bill has been over this same spot too. So it has to be the machines.....
What discrimination pattern are you using? Why do you want to block out so much in the like 30s-50s?
Just a coin disc program. I can always go back and dig the 30-50's
