Man props to the Ranger for acting 100% appropriate in dealing with you. She read the permit and that was it, i know some cops would drag it out etc. That's how it should be when your in the right. Great ending on that video. Hope you find more great stuff.!!
Can you tell me why and how your using prospecting audio? I have been experimenting with it since I seen you using it. I hunt parks and schools mainly. Thanks.
Well I finally ordered a Manticore, it's not even here yet. Since you're are pretty sharp with your Manticore, I'm wondering if you recommend the update? (Joe Dirt from Columbia, MO.)
I saw no loss of performance with the update. The best thing about the update for me is setting the iron indicator from a red line to red numbers. I have no more iron issues with this machine compared to the last 20 I owned. The real reason people were bitching about rusty nails is because they don't realize how powerful it is. At a setting of 18 sensitivity, I have dug nickels at 10 inches in low conductor mode. If you overdrive any detector, you will dig more rusty iron.
@@mowerdog (Somehow my reply got deleted). Thanks for the quick reply. No, I'm the Joe Dirt from Columbia, MO, and the one that you, Craig and I detected with at Kemper several years ago.
@@mowerdog ... I guess we need it for private parks and beaches and stuff but if it's owned by the county or something, maybe it's hit or miss? Can I ask if you got the permit after being kicked out once? Or did you get it right from the beginning? Thanks!
@sweetbeep Yes, it's hit or miss. I always research any new place or town I'm going to hunt to see if detecting is allowed or a permit is needed. I did this for this beach about 10 years ago. It said a permit was needed. So, I got the permit before hunting it the first time. I get my permit checked at this beach often. So, did you give up detecting?
@randyman78596 Research where you're going to hunt to see if a permit is needed.... Then go a get it. Most are free. One county close to me charges $25 and the beaches are off limits!! So stupid!!
It's because of shitebags that leave trash, needles, cut branches off trees, underage drinking, etc. People are probably out there swimming at night without a lifeguard also. I learned being in the Navy that the rules are always made for the worst case scenario and the odds are it's already happened once or twice. What would end up happening is someone would step on a needle or drown and they'd sue the city. They probably don't have the money to police anything due to all these defund the police lovers. Even local parks close at dark to keep out the homeless, addicts, etc. I totally get it. Plus if that park is part of a State Park the rules are straight up on that. I've never been able to get them to let me detect a park beach ever. They are real hard asses about it. Good luck.
Miss You!! Nice to see Your permit video!!❤️
Thank you!
It’s great to see ur back at it!
Thank you! It's cooling down so more videos will be coming soon.

Yes, she was very professional.
I like the idea of a water coil .
Thanks, and thanks for watching!
Nice hunt. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber.
Thank you for subscribing!!
Do you think the Vanquish would have hit those tiny pieces of jewelry? Would have been interesting to compare those signals. Great hunt!
Low conductor on the Manticore is very hot on tiny targets. I will try the Vanquish on those targets and make a video.
@@mowerdog Awesome, thank you!

The zip zip gets my attention. It's not for everyone.
I am trying other tone options.....

Are you the same Joe Dirt I met in St. Augustine?

@JoeDirt-sf8fu oh yeah. Thanks for being a subscriber!! We need to all meet up again. However, Craig, to me, he's all but stopped detecting.......
@@mowerdog Just give me the word and I'll be right there - wherever that might be.
Have 2 etrac's watching Your videos from the past , what do you think about the new manticore
I like it. It's deeper and faster than the etrac. The etrac tones are better.
Manti has arrived, charged, and what passes for initial adjustments. It came with update.
Awesome
What did it cost you for the permit?
The permit for this beach is free. Other areas can come with a fee. The most I've paid for a permit is $25
When do we need a permit?
Whenever one is needed..... If I didn't have it then I would to of had to left the beach.

I think she know the rules. She just wanted to see your permit. Pretty awesome you have that whole place to yourself.
I think she just wanted my name and address! LOL
@@mowerdog Oh shoot. Never thought of that.

I guess I'm lucky I can hunt that beach at all. Thanks for your you comment 👍
i feel as if tho if your scoop handle was about 1.5 ft longer it would make the job easier
Maybe? I'm not happy with it. I even turned the handle 90 degrees and still didn't like it. I almost think no handle would be better.
