First Play Live gives Canada's best bands the chance to perform their newest songs for the first time in front of an intimate crowd of friends and fans. First performances can be nerve racking and it is that nervous energy that brings the music to life.
For this First Play Live session we turned the CBC Music Studio 211 over to Calgary's Reuben and the Dark.
When Reuben and the Dark released the single "Rolling Stone" last year, it made music fans' and music critics' heads turn. And in turn, made the band's just released Funeral Sky one of the most highly anticipated Canadian albums of 2014.
Now that the full-length Funeral Sky album has hit store shelves, it is time for the band to hit the road. Their first stop, CBC Music Studio 211 for a First Play Live session.
