I'm doing another gradient/ombre background swipe experiment today, on a 12'' x 24'' (30cm x 60cm) canvas.
Background:
Jasart Velvet Black and Boyle White
Transparent Pillow:
Taubmans Doors & Trims Gloss in Neutral (this is a water based paint that is untinted. In some countries it is called Deep Base). I added to this some water to thin, ended up too thin, added some Australian Floetrol (only one available here), didn't thicken it enough so had to add some PVA glue.
Colours:
#tlp Afterglow
TLP Blue Eyes mixed with Macaw
TLP Deja Vu
TLP Bellini
TLP Comet (brushed on once dry)
TLP pigments, Boomgel Stains, Amsterdam acrylics, palette knives, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can be purchased from fluid-art.co/
Golden Permanent Violet Dark
My pigments and tube paints are mixed with untinted (neutral) gloss house paint (water based) and Jo Sonja gloss varnish. In some countries you may need 'Deep Base' you're looking for one without any (or a very small amount) of titanium white, or it will make your colours pastel.

Cell Activator:
Atelier Tinting Pearl White mixed with a healthy dollop of Atelier Titanium White
This was mixed ONLY with Australian Floetrol (approx 2 - 2.5 parts to 1 part of acrylic paint).
My hairdryer was bought from Kogan and the brand is Estelle. I use cool air, low fan.

My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores and on Amazon. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too. I have a 24'' (60cm) wood round placed on top of my lazy susan.
My metal spatulas are artist palette knives, they can all be purchased from fluid-art.co/

I see a face in the middle of your rose.
This is quite interesting. Don't take this the wrong way...but what I loved most was watching you "struggle". It was nice to see that an artist as magnificent as yourself can be uncertain, changing their direction, and embellishing until the image speaks to you. Gives me hope regarding my own work.
I know that you must hear this so much but YOU are so ULTIMATELY DEVOTED TO YOUR PROFECTION AND YOUR WORK IS THE TOP ON SO MANY LEVELS.
This is one creation I watch over and over again because of it's beauty. I see in this creation the way you Make it happen by adding, subtracting and manipulating where ever you want. You have such a masterful vision. Watching this video has helped me to try these things in my creations. Thanks again for sharing

The initial paint layout and spin, made my heart skip a beat. Lately I have been seeing that image in my dreams. I thought it was because of what I am going thru at the moment. so I spent time suppressing it. Then this pops up. so my dream is that I am being prompted to do a process piece so I can move on. so I thank you from all of my being. I wished I could afford to buy this. Thank you for posting this. What I see and feel is I see myself in the center and my neuromuscular system is on fire with shorts and misfires. I have just recently been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's and I am on a research medication to possibly help docs learn something and maybe delay the inevitable for me. Thank you Thank you.
