Got offered my first UX/UI job today after being self-taught for 6 months and watching your videos religiously - thanks for what you do, kept me motivated along the way!
This is so helpful! I was feeling so lost and frustrated trying to figure this out by myself. After watching this, it was so doable and your explanations are so easy and clear. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

Hi! You seem to know a lot about organizing projects, so I have a question. I'm working on a large product with a web and mobile application. I wonder if you would put your mobile and web projects on separate pages? Or rather keep them together based on page of the app you are working on (e.g. dashboard, settings, profile). It's adaptive design so some elements may be different like dialogs on web and bottomsheet on mobile.
I always struggle to keep my files organized and now things look alot better, I just followed along and did this organizing to one of my figma files and wow so much cleaner now!! just in time for my internship starting next week🕺🏻 Do you use notion for text docs that will go into your figma at all?
Good question! I actually design them in the same page so that I can see whether it fits into those screens nicely. But keeping components in a separate page could be pretty clean too. The only con being that I have different iterations of those components too. So if I think a project is still in the early design phase, I’ll just keep the component within that page to represents which iteration it belongs to.
Oppps, at least now you know you can simply create a page named "archive" and document your past iterations there! It's find that your first project is not the most ideal, as long as your most recent projects are better documented 👍
@@AlienaCai is it true ux designers always have to do presentations ands interactions with people? Not sure if this is the right career path for me since im pretty introverted

That waterdrop trick is amazing
Wow, I thought my file management was great until this video 😂 thank you for a wonderful resource for designers at all skill levels.

your cuteness is distracting me from learning (it may be cringe but i think it is a good one)
I am sure this is going to help me a lot
Super helpful, i always struggled with arranging files and pages. Thank you for this video!

Also, as a side note I feel like you omitted walking through the “Documentation” page 🙂
Glad it was helpful! Had no documentation page for most of my projects 😂 exposed

Loved this. To the point, well explained and well demonstrated!
I really really appreciate you video thank you so much for your job! Could you please elaborate on IA and user personas (especially your workflow)
Thanks a lot! I’ve noted down your requests. My current job actually doesn’t require me to do IA or persona, but I’ll look into it 👍

Hi! I was wondering, how do you do to make the symbols appear on your pages?
So helpful! Thanks!!
Love your channel
Thank you!
Thanks you for these tips!! In my job team file I only have 3 pages and figma ask me to upgrade to create more pages 😕
Oh no 😅😅 Well another thing we designers need to figure out is working within constraint. I guess you can group a few pages together? 😅
Thankyouuuuuu very much!, greetings from Mexico

Glad it was helpful! I actually haven't use notion in figma yet. You just reminded me to try it out 😄
hi please how you add the icon to the side of the Thumbnail page and thanks
Waiting alina
Do you design the components (buttons etc.) on a separate page?
Good question! I actually design them in the same page so that I can see whether it fits into those screens nicely. But keeping components in a separate page could be pretty clean too. The only con being that I have different iterations of those components too. So if I think a project is still in the early design phase, I’ll just keep the component within that page to represents which iteration it belongs to.
When working on my first project, I usually delete my old designs. So my portfolio doesn't have an iteration part, which makes me really scared.
Oppps, at least now you know you can simply create a page named "archive" and document your past iterations there! It's find that your first project is not the most ideal, as long as your most recent projects are better documented 👍
How do you add icons to the page file please teach me
Aha you copy the emoji I have in the description and paste it there. Basically just use the emoji you have in your device 👍
can you export or transfer figma to websites like wix?
Wow that'd be ideal. So far I haven't done anything like that.

"You don't archive files by just throwing things inside" Oh, you must have not worked with me
Oh, totally understand 😂 That's also me most of the time
Thanks Sys
