EX30 quality looks like the best Begode has put out, the O Rings, the bearing seals, the larger rims. Putting the motors out there for all of us to see is impressive.

Originally, my deposit was on the Challenger and for many months I agonized over whether or not I should switch to the EX-30.
I'm glad I did.

I love inmotion, but I have the v-11 and am a bit burned out on the control board / complicated software issues. I think I've spent more hours working on that wheel than riding it.
Now that there are some respectable build quality upgrades achieved by Begode with the ex-30, paired with their less complicated yet effective software, I figure the ex-30 is a reasonable gamble. I'm curious, now that the ex-30 has upgraded, metal battery cases, I would really like to know what kind of waterproofing that provides over the plastic ones?
Did you guys happen to check out the battery cases to see if they included a rubber gasket or anything like that for waterproofing?

Nice. I think we would all like a bit more detailed vid though. Such as weights wheel, motor etc (not just pedals). Still great start. These teardowns are good and the comments enlightening. I never would have thought about different torques on axle nuts.

Good tear down, but I want to see close up/tear down on the motherboard as well. Also, Begode put much less spikes on the pedals.
We’ll make sure to show some closer up shots of the mother board during our review video. When it comes to the spikes, they seem to be more strategic with their placements. I don’t think you need them where they decided not to put them.

Any thoughts on the CST tire on this one? I’m still on the fence about whether to get the knobby or street tire for this. Not sure if the Kenda street tire is the same width. I’ve heard the CST on this wheel doesn’t train track like it did on the EX20. I know that was one of the reasons it was, “Ewww” for you in your initial ride on it last year.

Wow ok, this is a step in the right direction. Theyre actually trying to improve on BUILD QUALITY. If i hadnt seen Jack's (electricdreams) video on the EX30 i would say this is the first time i would consider actually purchasing a begode wheel. Still have to see it perform tho. The thing i didnt like that Jack found out was that the wheel scrapes the bottom battery brackets and scrapes the actual battery metal cases bottom front corners when on any incline. If it hits on an incline or anything then it will probably hit whenever u try to "bonk" off of curbs or obstacles. Thats not good. I guess thats partly why veteran abrams and V13 have that 🛡️shield shape to it.
That only happens if you ride the wheel with extremely low tire pressure and no air in the shock, as shown and stated in the video. The wheel wasn't designed to be ridden like that. Inflate your tire to a normal riding psi range, put some air in your shock, and there's nothing to worry about.
@@nicksilver3757 So says the guy with no Ex30. Dog, Jack DID SAY that he was gonna ask Begode to raise the wheel because of scraping. He had to remove the lower pads n STILL scraped the bottom. So yea, he does have a point. It does sit low.
All good points. Theres always room for improvement, i feel like begode could have that fixed before production because it looks like more effort went into this one. Even the frame work looked great, way more robust and stable looking than both the sherman S' and commander pros frame work. Like the U-frame. Im surprised they didnt talk about that with this video.

He's The Don haha he can get them whenever he wants. I respect his decision to not support them until they get their shit together, we've essentially done the same by ordering VERY small first batches or no wheels at all from Begode/EB. I am confident he will start reviewing them again once they show consistently that they care about improving. Honestly, I really hope this is the beginning of that turnaround for Begode.
That was the right decision at the time. Maybe Begode will make him reconsider with the ex30
@@lubokanev7436 I have a feeling it will take more than one decent wheel for him to come back to Begode, kind of like us at eevee's. We are pleased to see this but still cautious as they have released a good wheel before and then followed up with absolute trash... Fingers are crossed so hard they are cramping...

How wide is the body compared to say Sherman S, Master Pro, Commander Pro, V13?
Similar to Sherman S? Skinnier than V13? That's just me guessing without measuring. It's pretty chonky but not overbearing.

Sherman S. I just trust it more. This might change after I get a few 100km on the EX30 but the SS is an absolute ace.... doubt I will change my thoughts on that. Really depends on what you're looking for out of a wheel!

An O-ring is no water seal. It'll get chewed up in like 100km.
The “O-rings” around the cables at the frame leading into the motherboard are commonly known as grommets (like Wallace and Grommet!), the “seal” around the axle on the mounting plate would be a large O-ring. It certainly looks like Begode are trying to get their act together with this wheel, we’ll know for sure when they start shipping them with Velcro on the battery faces for the pads, lol.
Looks better quality then the Sherman S.

Regardless of the build quality, I will not be buying any begode EUC until they make significant improvements in quality, & functionality

so what else do you want improved from this teardown? I didnt see many issues if at all. The suspension "flex" that people felt on all master design wheels should be fixed with the metal battery boxes and frame. The suspension is the better T4 linkage setup so less bottoming out. The rim has been upgraded.
I dont see much issue with the design of this wheel anymore besides the electronics reliability
What do you want specifically improved? I think a smart bms would be nice. As for functionality, its the best performing wheel in its class. What other functionalities do you want added?
Your comment makes no sense, you're contradicting yourself. You acknowledged the [good] build quality, but still use build quality as an excuse for not buying? And in terms of functionality this wheel ties with or beats everything else on the market (besides the Master Pro in battery size).
@@nicksilver3757 I think @supakat is saying they want to see more than one decent wheel come out by them... which I totally empathize with. I'm excited about our initial impressions of the EX30 but I'm still hesitant to mark this as the beginning of the Begode turnaround in product quality and overall QC. If I were a standard EUC consumer I would still be waiting for a few more Begode wheels come out at even higher standards than this before I was confident in purchasing their wheels... but some people have a much lower bar for what they are willing to ride daily... so it's ultimately subjective!
@nicksilver3757 so that's my opinion, if it makes no sense to you then okay, enjoy your EX30. You obviously see how it makes sense with the quality & value in the 8 wheels begode released in
