    Yeah I wondered why I hardly hear anyone talking with the words that are taught. And something tells me this is tip of the iceberg. Would love parallel topics.

      Yep, a lot of the textbook language is essential but so basic that you may not often hear those exact phrases. Native speakers especially tend to vary what they say and write. Although I'd say täytyy and pitää are still more common in speech than the structure mentioned in the video. But this "minun on mentävä/tehtävä/oltava" structure is common enough that it makes sense to learn it, especially if you want to understand the news, for example.

      @@vostaserova3610 KPT refers to the consonant change that happens in Finnish words (astevaihtelu) - minä kirjoitan (with only 1 T) but hän kirjoittaa (with double T).
