      Hey Nicolas,
What waves will you be surfing the most and what you really like? Surf it as a shortboard or want more cruisy feel?
This is just a brief conclusion between CI Mid, CI Mid Twin and CI Tri Plane Hull Single:
CI Mid needs more wave to work properly like 3ft + .. it works in smaller stuff but only if you go with the 7'0" .. it's still won't be dynamic and won't allow you to force it as a shortboard. It’s more about smooth surfing with round turns with great hold. You can feel really comfortable taking it out in pumping in pumping surf. I mostly surfed it as a single fin.
On the other hand, CI Mid Twin works better than CI Mid in smaller waves but if you just want to cruise down the line. It glides great at 6’7” size. To make a proper turn you need to find an open section with 2-3 ft face. You can't quickly swing it around and release the tail. It’s not a light board to begin with but it gets more freedom and speed than CI Mid. It won't allow you to force it as a shortboard.
CI TPH -> This is the board that would feel as closer to a single fin shortboard. It's very responsive and light. The rails are pretty refined. It allows you to swing the board quicker. I haven't had much time on it and the waves were too fat and weird when I tested it. But I realized that it prefers to have cleaner waves and 2ft + size. You are catching waves almost at the same spot as a shortboarders. I will try to surf it on bigger days to provide another review but the first session will be available later this week.
      Hope this helps!
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Yuri, not bad for a first attempt. It’s refreshing that you just have a go, at it. All boards take a fair bit of time, especially, if you want to get maximum performance per your current ability. I’m 5’8” n 158 lbs., lifelong frother n well traveled. Currently, riding 5’7”@30 liter CI Freescrubber twin fin, 5’6” @30.1 L, Tomo hydroshort thruster, 6’6” CI mid @38 L, 7’1” TPH @47.6 L. I have more boards, but I keep reaching for these. The TPH is such a wonderful surprise! Once you start working out the nuances n learn how to use them, it just flys n you can put it on rail! Plus, it is a great tip rider. Try getting a tube, while doing a proper 5 is sweet! At my height n weight, the 7’1” is a great longboard alternative, but I’ve surfed it in double overhead n it worked better than I ever imagined it would or could. Something about the concave in the bottom. Slippery without it being slidey, positive but free, n fast. Again, it just doesn’t look like it could do what it can. Best single fin, I’ve ever ridden. Ever. I notice, you have a tendency to always want to pump a board through a section. Sometimes, especially with length, you want to let gravity aid you, use the momentum of your entry or drop to initiate speed and use the highline to load up before a cutty. Sure, there’s room for pumping, but a more deliberate use of the oncoming section will only improve your “fun factor!” And coming off a highline, into an aggressive fade to square out bottom turn will really make the board haul ass! With that speed, it’ll open up numerous opportunities to lay it over! Good luck, I’ll continue to watch n enjoy your channel.

Hi Aventure1st! Thanks for sharing your experience and tips! Much appreciated. I definitely like the board I'm 100% sure it works great in better waves. If I order one, I would most likely go slightly bigger to be closer to 7'0" to hit more boxes in terms of conditions. The 6'7" felt too shortboardy for me and probably that's why I try to pump it LOL.. I should chill out more.. working on it haha! Cheers!

We are close in height n weight, the 7’1” is so versatile n to me, a true midlength. N that’s what I wanted. Beware though, as it killed my longboards, except for the micro-est of days and other shorter quasi-midlengths. I say go 6’11”-7’1” n you won’t be disappointed. Keep surfing n I love the New York n east coast content

Thanks for sharing, yes I would like to see a full review of this board. Thinking I would go with a longer board for all around. Im 5’5 about 155 not sure what would be the best length for me as just going from beginner to intermediate surfer?

Hey Rory! That’s a tough call. I would say the shorter one would catch waves at the same spot with the shortboarders. If you go 7’0” you would have more time to get into earlier. What’s the shortest board you surf now?
