    Thank you for not just immediately playing slap. Its really annoying when bass demo videos are like that! You can hear so much more of the bass from groove playing.

    • @JohnDoe-zq1ho
      @JohnDoe-zq1ho 4 года назад +1

      Agreed, only so much changes when one is slapping different basses on the same amp setup. Melodic and groove playing offers true illustration of the timbre changes between each.

    I've been playing since I was 12 (close to 30 years) and I have played alomst Everything. I have been playing Ibanez BTB's now exclusively for over 10 years and I have Never received as many compliments on my sound and tones as I have with them. Without dumping $6000+ on something like an MTD, Alembic or Jerzy Drozd, the btb is without a doubt the most versatile and best sounding out there. And Extremely comfortable and easy to play

      I have a BTB 675 that I I loaded with regular gauge RotoSound Round wounds, It's not really comfortable, but when I set it right it growls like an angry ent. I had a Peavy i the price range, but lick-in-the-gut sound it couldn't come close. And yes, it is not pretty like the Peavy, but I've people give my positive feedback on the sound, and that's rare for bass.

    I'm not a bass player either, but I really enjoy the vids/demos and I LOVE that BTB745. It sounds better than almost all other basses that I've heard demo'd. It has a really smooth and fat tonal quality throughout all of the EQ settings. I was well pleased with it, and would consider owning one, if it were in a lefty.

    I just love Ibanez's SG range, had one maybe 20 yrs ago and bought myself a sr305eb last year. It's so dam nice that I've just sold my back up Fender and I'm looking at that fanned fret 5 string - what a beauty and at around £800 seriously good value too! ( maybe I'll trade my sr305eb for a fretless version later..... or de-fret it myself!!)

    I believe "wenge" is pronounced "when-gay," if my memory of Kratt's Kreatures serves me properly. If you look up how it's written in the international phonetic alphabet, it's /ˈwɛnɡeɪ/. The "ɛ" has an "eh" sound, and the "eɪ" combine their "ay" and "ee" sound to make "ɡeɪ" sound like you would pronounce the word "gay."

    • @khronscave

    I thought that the switches on Ibanez basses were for changing frequencies rather than going from active to passive. I'm pretty sure that I'm right on this, at least for the SR505 that I owned for years.

    Is it just me or does it seem like it would make more sense to have the fretted side (on the 7 string) on the bass strings and the fretless side on the higher strings? As someone that's owned a fretted & fretless version of the same bass, I would have thought you'd want it that way round.. maybe it's just personal preference?

      Dred Og Ibanez basses are fantastic and are really comfortable. Especially the SR range, they can be super affordable to super expensive (i.e. $200-2000). Other great brands are Squier (especially vintage modified), Sire, and Sterling by Music Man. Also look out for Yamaha basses, they offer really affordable and playable basses as well. I hope that helps!

    I dislike Ibanez basses, but damn that jam in the beginning was good. Hats off👏

    ... so Ibanez basses have the exact same sound as Warwick and Spector ones?
