- KTNV's Abel Garcia spoke to a Las Vegas resident who says his quality of life has changed since the opioid shortage. A pharmacist says drug makers are cutting back on production.
Terrible pain for over 30 years on disability and can’t receive meds on time for 4 months now. Currently waiting for another prescription that may or may not be available long after my refill is due. Too old and exhausted from pain already, where is our help?
If you are detoxing. Kratom will help. Just don't take a lot at a time. It will ease the symptoms.
Pain patients need to sue the DEA CDC FDA for compensation for not having prescribed meds. The fed gov and the stares have sued these companies and reaped a windfall. The patients harmed by their actions should be compensated.
Tramadol is NOT a good pain med, he should have been transitioned to Morphine equivalent.
Tramadol sucks but there's a shortage on all pain meds...i called 38 pharmacies to find my hydrocodein 3 hours away

I live in New Jersey. My doctor was sanctioned. He's not allowed to give out any pain medicine and if they give out a antidepressants you have to see a psychiatrist.
Agreed! As a nurse for 30+ years, this drug is for mild pain, at the best, but does not tackle moderate to severe pain.
I respect you for bringing this story to light. I am suffering as well; my quality of life is gone. Damm all the woketards who removed our pain meds. I wish all of them were suffering as bad as us patients are.

If you are detoxing.. kratom will help with those symptoms. Just limit yourself to one teaspoon if you get the bags. The capsules about 2 or 3. If you take to much you will vomit. It will help ease the pain.
Sincere question - what does the left wing side have to do with the shortage? Is Biden putting restrictions on what we can import from other countries? I had thought this tightening on these prescriptions started like in 2018-ish…!
Good job news, good story and this also is affecting me, a disabled american. I am in a wheelchair and im also facing this issue.
I have come back to this report because I became very outspoken here about the desperation of chronic pain patients like myself.
I am here to share a little tip for those who are greatly suffering due to the failure of our government and DEA to protect us. I spent 2 hours trying to find hydro 10/325. The larger pharmacies are the way to go if you are going to stand a chance. Having said that, nobody I called had the 20/325, however I called a Kroger that is having no problems getting the 7.5 and 5mg variations. Be sure when you are looking to ask about this. It may not be what you are looking for but your doctor will likely work with you and a slightly lower dose is better than nothing. Good luck to all my chronic pain people, I pray you find relief.❤

Pathetic we are the most powerful country in the world but yet can’t even manufacture the drug ourselves. Depending on these very few companies is why we have all our elders hurting in pain.

UMMMM Did he really say talk to your doctor about an Alternatives??? BUDDY!! We are on these because we have Tried all the other Alternatives!! Right now in our area we are back ordered for Hydro 10's to Dec! Tramadol is like aspirin.

When my wife was alive she had chronic pain and called Tramadol "Souped up aspirin" 😱😱

Just get a handful of poppy seeds from the supermarket and add milk or soup. Heat on the stove for about 20 min to half an hour and then have the mixture slowly. You will be very relaxed and for a wile pain free.
Ive been on the same pain meds since 2011 and legally disabled. My meds been on backorder for 13 months out of 16 months now. NObody tells us "why" this is happening. We are just left to scramble and figure out wtf to do to 1) keep from going thru withdrawal hell on top of 2) our pain going beyond human comprehension. Its sadistic.

You can find RX drugs on the street. They are abundant and have very high costs. I believe when 1 pain pill is 20 to 80 dollars on the street, the problem will be solved. When Pharma can equal those prices, pills will be everywhere. No shortage, just need to charge more.😮😊

Its seems to happen this time of year I got pain from my elbow I have two plates and nine screws and And I have a bad back my disc are rubbing and going away. I think it not fair with the shortage
this is a problem created by our government. The legal system has jumped in and contributed to the problem. this is our own fault should anyone get blamed or be blamed.
I am sick and tired of those crying, "opioid crisis!" Our nation simply does not know how to figure out that it isn't legitimate prescriptions causing the problem, but illegal acquisition, that is the root cause here. Healthcare workers and physicians have been brainwashed on the sugject.
The DEA won't admit that they made a mistake by blaming and punishing doctors for the opioid crisis.

The abuse of addiction on opioids is so high with patients, however most physicians only prescribe when truly needed. When you are on these medications you can't drive or operate a vehicle. Hopefully people taking opioids are not driving.
