The airport called they need you to announce departures. Nobody cares if you unsubscribe there’s no reason to publicly post about it unless you’re just desperate for attention.
Randy you are so right there are alot of aholes on the road nowadays. Just chill be patient and drive with respect for others on the road be cordial to others. Makes for a better day.
I love watching you save the every man's car's Randy, and I am glad they mean something to you also. Thank you for caring about them and those of us that can not afford any better.
Randy your a great guy for saving these old car's. In today's market this all most people could afford. I have an 08 Chrysler town and country with 125k and right now I'd rather keep it with no loan than have something with an outrageous loan.
I just saved a 2001 cavalier with 52914 original one owner, from copart, lady owned. Clear coats baked on tops but overall super clean car. Even had original air filter in it lol
The first car my mom ever bought new was a '97 Lumina with the 3 speed auto. It died at 79k miles due to the trans grenading and taking the engine with it.
My grandma had a 97 Malibu that she bought brand new, intake gaskets allowed coolant to contaminate the oil and killed the engine at only 69K miles, although it was 12 years old by then. I remember it always ticked and just sounded junky for the first few seconds after a cold start too. I swapped a junkyard 3100 motor in it and got rid of it for her pronto. Unlike Randy I hate these engines with a passion, no love from me.
My grandpa had a transmission issue too. It was over 10 years ago, I remember him saying that there was a piece of the transmission on the floor and so he got rid of it and bought a brand new honda civic.
That lumina brings back memories, that was the same exact car my grandpa had, and he taught me to drive in it. On my 18th birthday, a woman was coming back from a funeral and rear ended me, the thing was totaled, however, we learned that it was a rusty one, the frame was totaled and most of it was left on the road I was hit on, literally a layer of rust flakes fell on the ground.
I was texting Mike while watching this. I deal with these type of drivers every day, in a semi Randy. People now a days just have no common sense or courtesy. I do what you do but, people cut me off and never want to let me in and, sadly, a lot of my fellow truckers do this to me as well. Love the Lumina. Has a lot of life left and with a good sanding, clear coat and cleaning, she would be a beautiful ride.
You aren't lying, I was driving with my father yesterday, and we had 3 people cut us off in town, pulling out into traffic, 1 person pulling out onto a 75+ highway going 10mph, a semi-truck pulling out into oncoming traffic to get out in front of his disconnected trailed on the side of the road. We had a trailer filled with stuff to build a fence, and the lane closed; 3 tiny cars in the left lane wouldn't let us and sped up, so we couldn't merge in, so my dad had to shit and get to merge. All within 3 hours. People need to pay attention and take driving seriously; people get too complicated and dangerous.
Just because the jeep had a church sticker on doesn't mean the guy is a Christian, that being said, being a Christian doesn't mean you're perfect. We all sin........
That story with the guy in the jeep reminded me of my first job at Panera bread. I was a cashier and sometimes had good and bad customers. But the absolute meanest most rude customers were the ones who came in Sunday morning right after church.
Years ago a waitress told me in a marianna fla restaurant that the church crowd was the worst, would come in be rude as hell and leave a dollar tip for a dirty table of over a dozen nasty messy church customers. Looked like the last supper of heathens. Lmfao!
I like the style of the Lumina. Clear coat respray and maybe see if they can pull out some of the guard dent and it would be a great A to B to C and even D car. I'd drive it and I like nice cars. If I had it I'd leave it as is and use it as a winter beater.
Don’t listen to the haters, everyone’s always gonna have something negative to say because they are going through something negative in life. At the end of the day you’re doing what you like and it makes you happy so keep doing it and fuck them. It’s plenty of people that enjoy this type of content and I’m one of them.
Randy, the person driving the white Jeep towing the trailer couldn't believe there was someone kind enough to let them in and they weren't sure it was true. I agree with your rant. I've had the same one myself.
The best part about driving a car like the lumina is that you can force yourself in front of people blocking you from merging because it doesn't really matter if you get body damage. Most people now have newer cars and don't wanna get them damaged
Agreed Randy. The funniest thing to me is when someone guns it from a stop light or aggressively passes you and then you catch up to them at the next stoplight..I think we could conserve a lot more gas if people figured out that speed is not always the answer
About the guy who cut you off. Not everyone who identifies a Christian actually follow Christ. I'm not a part of any church (not saying all churches are bad), but I follow Christ directly, and I don't let the actions of people turn me away from him. He is our example, and not faulty, imperfect, evil people.
This is one of the many beaters I had but mind was kind of special I had a 99 LTZ with the 3800 motor with quad exhaust and the little spoiler on the trunk which was a beast off the line, it was green in color with fading paint on the hood and on the top.
Randy, you have been my longest favorite car-oriented youtuber. You are so talkative and the way you talk which is obviously from bottom of your heart makes you a nice friendly guy. I liked so much your comment about religious and morals in driving cars.
Great deal brother.👍 Back in the day, I owned two Chevy luminas with 3100 in them. Man I can say they are pretty decent running cars. The only issues with some of them were the rear suspension having flaws. But other than that, they're decent cars. Thank you for the footage brother. 👍✌️
I swear I would polish that old Lumina and rive it with pride, had a 1996 Lumina and really miss that car a lot it never left me stranded and it was pretty good on gas , I wish I lived closer to Oklahoma I'd come buy it no questions asked. It may not look good on the outside but it probably handles like a dream
Our family had a trio of Lumina cars. A 95,96, and 98 model. Very reliable vehicles. We replaced the lower intake manifold gaskets on all 3, and they just ran, and ran
Again I say, those old Chevy’s were indestructible back in the day. Always used in car chases in action movies. Put your touch on it Randy and make some money. Michael is a great guy and a good friend to have. You should see if he wants the roadster if they don’t want it back. Maybe he’ll want to do something with it. You should clean house with all your projects and start over, clean slate and new/old rides😁!!!
We currently have a 97 Lumina with 82k in very good shape and it runs and drives like a champ! For being a basic car they drive very well and they are comfortable. People crap on these cars, and in some ways yeah they were not so great(like the intake gaskets), but basically everything is easy to fix and is readily available at most part stores. People do give up on these, but they are still good cars.
someone would be happy to have something like that. screw what others think youre making your own life and need to start somewhere. same story with my old beat up 99 jeep cherokee, people always laughed cause it was old and ratty looking but hey it had ac and got me around reliably lol one of the best cars i ever owned
Just traded an 04 Town&Country that was 25 thousand miles shy of 300 thousand, was totally rusted out & had to trade up due to not being dependable. It broke down 3 times in one month, there were computer and electrical issues. I don't care how a vehicle looks, if it's dependable, I'll hold on to it. 💯
I had a 98 Lumina 3100 had 246,000 miles on it when the trans quit. Bought it for 600.00 and drove it 2.5 yrs sold it to a scrap yard for 300.00. I enjoyed driving my lumina.
I got a 2002 civic not the Prettiest Looking Whip paid $700 for it w/232k+ miles it paid for itself by the 2nd month of ownership, had to fix a few things that were neglected,AC Still blows cold(never put freeon) in it & I'm still making money w/it& when it dies I'll replace the engine & trans & ride it for another 250k miles
As long as you enjoy what you are doing, why should I be critical of what you do. It is entertaining, however, it is hard to make a profit on them. Ugly cars can be fun. You are a good hearted person. You have always try to do right by others with the vehicles you send down the road.
It may be a P.O.S to some people, but I bet you, somebody somewhere will be grateful to have that car, solid safe transportation is all that matters to some people
I grew up with these as well and I most definitely have not forgotten about them. And honestly I see through it's rough condition I know it's a great car and I would have bought it for the same price you did also absolutely all day. I will always love, buy, own and restore gm w bodies
When we first got married, my ex wife and I had a blue 91 Lumina. They're not really desirable cars, at least the four doors, but ours was very reliable and required minimum maintenance to keep running
The Chevy Lumina is a great car. Had a friend that had one that his grandpa bought off the showroom floor in 96 and it was at 550,000 miles when he finally let it go.
That's what makes your channel so watchable & relatable is the "old run-down, neglected, no one wants anymore" type of cars purchased. Great deal too. There are still a few chevy luminas around my area in Massachusetts, so these cars were built well to last. As for religion, it was religious leaders who were instrumental in Jesus' death. Live the way God desires you to live. You have good ethical driving tips that others really need to hear.
I’d love to have a car like that right now lol. I’m rolling around in a borrowed car that barely runs and the AC has been busted for years 😂 but I’m thankful that it’s at least here for me to use! Keep up the good work Randy! Look forward to the next one!
I had a 95 lumina that belonged to the Dewey Oklahoma police department and it ran forever. The only reason I got rid of it was the lower motor caught fire after driving it for 10 years with zero problems. And it still ran and drove just fine but it was rough on the dash where it burned
That paint job reminds me of my black 96 Chevy lumina. I had it for five years I’m on my second Lumina that I’ve had for four years it is a 2001 they’re great cars
My neighbor has a Lumina sitting on there property with a blown headgasket (surprise surprise) but they left all the windows down, so the interior is trashed

I would enjoy a young dude cleaning your cars and seeing them getting some shine. A carport next to your garage with a pressure washer and a vacuummachine.
Awesome video love the drive home from auctions and hope trailer is good i take it that it is because you didnt show it at the end. And thank you for saving those cars we grew up on
I love what you said and I feel the same way about loving older cars. And you right I have a 2005 pontiac aztek and a 2007 jeep commander. I love these vehicles. I would love to have another commander they are great jeeps. Older vehicles are better in my book easier to work on and I do all my own tune ups and everything else I can pull off myself.
These were the standard taxicab in DFW from the mid 90s to the early 00s. I drove several of those 2001 to 2003 and then I owned a black '97 and a maroon '98 a few years later. These are tough to find in rust belt areas because of the obvious reason and tough to find down south because of the intake/head gasket issues, dex-cool, and derbies. It would be nice if we could have simple cars like this to buy new, but all we have are the old ones, so we can either keep them on the road or sell them to someone who will. Otherwise, they're gone.
No picking on you from.this subscriber. I had the sister to that car the chevy corsica and I loved it. It had the 2.8l and im.not sure how many tires I wore out on that car spinning tires lol. Brings back great memories for sure.
I agree with “Randy’s Rant”. Maybe that is a new segment. I also let people in front of me for no other reason than it’s not costing me anything to be nice and not in a rush. Some assholes find it an insult to their manhood if you get in front of them. What’s the big deal. I bet these are the same jerks that do t hold doors open for women and children.
My mom drove a 91 chevy lumina red paint gray interior back in 1999 I remember that was one of the best cars she ever had I still miss that car was looking for one but couldn't find one
I'm an atheist, I have Christian friends and they ask " if your not religious how do you have any moral compass " I really hate that . I don't have to believe in anything but my moral self to be a good person. Keep up the good fight Randy!!

I got one of my ex's one of these for $500. It outlasted our relationship. She was driving it years later. It was a solid reliable car.
I have a 2001 just like that. 270,000 miles and still a super nice highway car. It has its minor problems but it just keeps going.
Man, that is great to hear stuff like this. Keep that thing running!!!
Nice. I have a 2005 Trailblazer with 269K, still runs like new! They don't make them like they used too...

No picking on you from.this subscriber. I had the sister to that car the chevy corsica and I loved it. It had the 2.8l and im.not sure how many tires I wore out on that car spinning tires lol. Brings back great memories for sure.
Santa is in the house
Hey Lunar!!!!!
These were some of the few domestics that could easily cross 200k with the cooling system maintained. Good basic cruisers.
My mom drove a 91 chevy lumina red paint gray interior back in 1999 I remember that was one of the best cars she ever had I still miss that car was looking for one but couldn't find one
If that Lumina was a hertz car someone probably traded it in at the used car sales place where they sell used rentals and they dumped it.
I had 2 and I would have another one of I get the chance to have another they are very dependable that is why I like them
Lumina was one of first newer cars I bought for my first child
You gotta get a dashboard camera for these damn hit and run a**holes
I had the lumina z34 . In fact I had 3 of them in white red and black . I miss those cars so much 😭
I'm an atheist, I have Christian friends and they ask " if your not religious how do you have any moral compass " I really hate that . I don't have to believe in anything but my moral self to be a good person. Keep up the good fight Randy!!
Nice find on the chevy lumina I have always liked those cars remember when they were new cars Randy
