You should’ve seen my face when this came into my subscription box! I absolutely adore Audley End House where Avis Crocombe worked, I had the privilege to meet the lady who plays Mrs Crocombe (the lady on the front cover) and got a picture with her. I have this book and some recipes are a bit odd but some are great. If you like this book then I’d recommend looking up The Victorian Way here on youtube and there are videos made in Audley End of these recipes. They’re marvellous 🤩
Mrs. Crocombe, what an incredible story! For those who love Mrs. Crocombe and need a good laugh, check out Novympia’s parody of her. Kathy herself thought it was hilarious!
