Plans to arrive in Santa Barbara aboard The Royal Yacht Britannia had to be scrapped because of the atrocious weather. The motorcade drive up Refugio Canyon to the Reagan Ranch took place in a deluge and was nothing short of Epic.
Needless to say there was catastrophic flooding going on and the high tides made it worse. The aerial shot is of Malibu, going southeast along the coast, around Point Dume/Paradise Cove and on towards Santa Monica.

Elizabeth is damn lucky she found Philip. For nearly half his life she was his liége man of life and limb and of Earthly worship, and boy did he live up to the oath he made in 1953.
RIP to the Duke of Edinburgh, a true gentleman who did what he could and everything for the woman he loved, even if it meant him being reduced to a mere shadow, always 2 steps behind her , always there for her.
