the explosions looks great they just need to make them a bit smaller imo.
@@LordDrakkon1 Yeah, for most part you can't tell what is even going on because everything is exploding in such a ridiculous manner.
It sure looks good but the C&C feel is not there, if you go look up the C&C death animations, a lot of time the tanks stops and after a few seconds burst into a moderate explosion that sends piece flying.
Yeh the Isotope stability would be helpful but hes playing really smart
@@imaginecheating9307 Is that smart? I feel like the explosions did at LEAST as much damage to himself as they did to enemy forces. I would think the way to play with exploding battlemasters would be a wide, thin, concave formation that minimizes the damage your tank deaths deal to your own forces and spreads out the enemy force's attention so that more of your tanks can penetrate their lines before they explode. The only reason to clump up like all these players seem to be doing is if you expect attacks from multiple angles, but on a map like this, that's really not a possibility.

The nuke general does a better job at being the demo general than the demo general it seems.

@@thetraveler611 also the nukes happen earlier because demo general needs to research the upgrade to retrofit his units with bombs which might not even be good late game.
The explosive visual and deep sound effects are very impressive. I love how immersive it gets!
I'd expected the demolitions general to be the ones using suicide tactics to attack the enemy

Love the look of this mod. I think all the explosions make it difficult to see how larger battles are going, but thats just my opinion.
Also had to buy the Origin version of C&C since my old disks of zero hour would no longer work.
The quick kill times, limited mobility of units, and effectiveness of aoe weapons definitely give the mod a heavy, messy feeling.
Every battle looks like a promotional screen shot while also being delightful and nightmarish. I'm constantly going back and forth as to whether it's great or terrible in that way.

Gen Evo looks amazing but it’s honestly so hard to see what’s going on sometimes. Infantry specifically seem to melt into the background stupid easy

This. The large explosions serve as a sort of smokescreen that makes watching what you're doing and what you lost harder.

I wonder if the Nuke General had been more effective if he had researched Stable Isotopes to stop wasting his tanks. Also could have saved money from rebuilding the entire army after every assault and saved up for an Overlord.

This egine still looks amazing to this day.
That nuke man it just looks beautiful.
And the sound design on the particle canon is just "chefs kiss" the modders did well on that.
Imagine a camera mod where you can angle it closer and level to the map. Would be sick as hell

So, two things. One, this shit is hard to follow. The explosions are nuts. Second, the explosions are nuts. This is quite the spectacle.

Well the plan was pretty wise, but even dev actually can't predict how far is the splash damage of Alpha Auroras :D
This game looks amazing. But I think certain weapons should have huge explosions, they happen too often imo. What do y'all think about cnc having smoke bombs/grenades to vary the strategy?
Let me tell you as somebody who played rise of the reds which has smoke bombs/grenadesits a bad bad idea

The explosions, particle effects and what not are absolutely incredible. Easily one of the best parts of the mod. Also, absolutely love bigger battles and groups of units over smaller task forces.

It seems as if they're going the popular Generals Zero Hour mod route: Shockwave mod.
and I am not mad at all.. I played shockwave mod for the past 10-12 years and to me it feels like what ZH COULD HAD been if EA didn't put so much time constraints on the developers.

I dont know if the explosions or skill of the players made it kinda messy at times it felt like they just sent all units in attackmove across the map though with the nuklear battlemasters acting with what felt like 1/3 nuke effect completly relatable

How do you select units on screen? Besides click drag, I mean RAR style? Or any RTS really. I can’t seem to use hot keys to collect units on screen. I’m forced to chase them .
Also, no quick keys for buildings?
Very interesting to see the GLA getting the Flakpanther Coelian, utilising old ww2 and cold war equipment fits them.

I feel like if armies were a bit faster stalemates could be broken easier. Also are there no interceptors? I think with interceptors screening the bombers the southern team could've pushed through a couple of times even with the slow unit speed, they had the AA to get the bombers but not before the bombs were dropped.

those complaining about the real destruction are very weak minded.
1 of the best things put into the game is all the visuals and the fresh look keeping an old game looking new is what this is all about.
go play the old versions of the games if you dont want explosions.

Hey Sybert, just got back into watching these through Bricky’s shoutout. Just wondering, are you using some kind of mod to make the game 60fps? I saw you did a video a few years ago of a mod that did that but I was curious if you’re still using that same mod or if there’s a different one that you’re using.
Just interpolate the footage up to 60fps in the edit. As of right now that mod doesn't work with 30fps replays and is too buggy to use for everyday purposes.

Yeah, but as viewers, It is definitely a worth trade-off. I'd watch this game over starcraft 2 or AOE 4.

Wondering why they didn't pick Kane's Wrath for the gameplay aspect since it was larger and a little free like Generals. But I guess the RA3 was the latest at that time.
It"s because this version of the engine is newer. I do want them to figure out 8 player though.

EA killing off the dev of a Generals game... yeah sounds about right.
They missed the opportunity to make the particle tank function like the Athena cannon.
The problem with the original Generals, Including Zero Hour, When you make a big army and go attack your opponents base. Because of your army is so big that some of the most important units are left behind because the movement speed isn't that much balanced, i mean yeah that's supposed to be logical but it really ruins the gameplay + the units tend to get stuck on each other sometimes they would just glitch and stuck there and will never move again, so when you have to attack you can only keep small armies keep on coming until you reach and destroy the enemy's defenses, making it your only chance to attack unless they rebuild and get back on working properly. Super weapons do exist so i guess that's the other 'only chance' you can use as an advantage. But here in Generals Evolution, there's no delay big armies and action packed type of gameplay you don't get to be pissed off because your big army got stuck on a goddamn tree and already got annihilated by tomahawks or scud launchers, If only CnC Generals was still on it's feet and getting itself improved, not getting improved by some people who made a custom remastered mod of the game, those problems should've been already fixed or making C&C:Generals Evolution

The China player really just had one strategy to suicide his ground army into the enemy again and again.

I still think rocket soldiers spam is ruining the game. I suggest significantly reducing their reload speed but increase the damage per rocket. Or maybe add some coaxial to the mbt's, in exchange for making them cost more.

Yes. They didn't get isotope stability which makes nuke battle masters not harm friendly units.
