Penelope was the first song I heard from this band, some 20 years ago. And this is the first time I’ve ever seen a live performance of it. Very different groove than the album during the chorus and it is awesome to see!
Went to this concert. Absolutely awesome. Zach was in the crowd for the opening act and got to share a few awkward words with him... which I will hold dearly.
Im seeing them in 2 days, cannot fuckin wait!! Will be my second time seeing them. Not as big of a fan base in Montreal i guess, so im looking forward to a nice personal little show again.
Oh man, Rob is great! You should check out some of the videos of another band of his, Optiganally Yours. Absolutely fun stuff (and very silly Rob Crow antics), and there's vids of one of their shows up here on RUclips. Also, love your Flint profile pic. I was just thinking last night that I need to play through Mother 3 again sometime.
I do try to arrive early so that I can get my tripod setup at a show. Pinback is okay with me taping their shows, so it's no problem getting my tripod and camcorder into their shows (or for most shows where the band is okay with it). Ask me when it comes closer to time for the September show and I should be able to to pack a DVD of this show in my bag for you, as well as the Masquerade show from the year before this.
just got back from seeing them in toronto - it kicked ass, of course. they played the exact same set list...even the encore. i wonder if they played the same songs for every show this tour?
Yes, they generally hang out near the stage after the show and do autographs, photos, and you can probably get a big bear hug from Rob as well if you want. They're friendly folk.
I was at this show. I thought it was pretty average. I just don't like the sound at this club; lots of echo. At several points it was hard to hear the band over people talking. There was just something really flat about the entire show. It's just my opinion. I saw a show at the Echo Lounge around 2005 that completely blew my head off so I know they can really smoke live.
Zach's bass playing blows my mind every time I see it. He plays every song to album quality. So incredibly underrated.

Ive got Zach's hand written setlist from this show in my hand right now =)
Everyone in the pinback videos comments are nice chill people. It's nice ❤️
I think I saw the video you posted of the Masquerade show - it was from like 2011. That looked like a great show.
Can't wait for September, think its fair to skip school to see them!
wow, thanks for posting! i saw your thread at pinbackfreak. i'm going to see these guys in three days so this is a nice preview.
Good to sea is always the icing on the cake.
The new songs from the newest pinback album are godly!
when you started to play Tripoli i screamed so loud the entire flat heard me i guess
Thank you!
We saw them twice in St Louis -- watching this brings back those good memories. Thanks for uploading!!
Same here! September's going to be awesome, and I'm planning on taping that one as well.

Reminiscing on this one.
Fortress is around 53:25, it's the version with the electro beginning.
I have the setlist for this show listed, just hit the button on the video description that says "show more."
Rob has good taste in gear. mesa all day, baby!!
Great, absolutely awesome, anyone got the track listing for this show? I only just discovered them and would like to know the song names ;)

Do these guys do autographs after the show?

Thanks so much for replying! I'm going to see them in September and was worried that I wouldn't get to meet them, but now I'm even more excited!
man i wish i stayed after the recent show in downtown Pomona, California.
