Lol same here! I found Pinback when I was 14 in 2004 and was already a Built To Spill fan cause I had friends in college and went to a party at their house and they played Doug Martsch's Now You Know solk album and "Offer" instantly became one of my favorite songs, that and shortly after "Dream". And Modest Mouse was a HUGE part of my teen years. On Christmas in 2004 I got "This is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about" and "Building nothing out of something" from my older sister cause Everytime we were in her car I wanted to listen to "Good news for people who live bad news". I constantly listen to those two albums for the next few years but I really never stopped. I still listen to them a few times a year at least. Man I'm so glad I was a kid in the 90s and 00s before music and movies and art in general became total garbage. Interesting side note, those college kids I met cause I was buying opiates from their brother (I'm 13 years clean now btw) and while I was at their house I picked up a guitar and started playing Dramamine and the sister of the guy j was buying pills from ran into the room and called her boyfriend into the room by saying something along the lines of "Chris come in here this kid is playing Dramamine on your guitar!" Lololol. From then on I spent lots of time there. Even though I wish I hadn't had to go through the heroin addiction those were still magical times (minus the drug use of course).
The original album is great in its own right but this live EP really injects an infectious energy into songs like Shag, Crutch and Hurley that just keeps me coming back
You're always welcome.. I like some of the live tunes best too. Some cuts are like totally different songs than the studio.. Years later and still a fresh groove. Great Stuff! (:E
This band is tight. Great live recording, what you guys use to record on ?. We did a live studio recording back in the 80s, it was one of best things we ever did.
this version of crutch rocks so hard
Dude. Ive been in love for like a decade. IT'S. SO. GOOD.

Yes. And atdi... That's like my core high school 2004-5 music world

The constant use of triplets in Tripoli is really fucking clever. Very smart music.
