Dale Leith -yeh, was pondering same thing trying to analyze what needs to be different here. Can't quite put my finger on it but it's like the overall style and genre is maybe just too "indie" to be as popular like radiohead etc. But man they groove! I think I prefer rocking to them in headphones over live though.
Dale Leith they purposely never signed to a major label. Zach was signed to Geffen for a while and left. They care about the music and not the fame. Love the music, don’t think about the rest man, because the music is what matters.
Because their look doesn't lend itself to the big show. They're generally kind of indifferent, geeky, they always play fast as shit when you want it to sound like the record. I love Pinback, dearly, but I understand perfectly why they never got huge.
I have loved this band since 2001 and now that the pandemic has been reality for way too long, their music has helped me deal with my emotional ups and downs. Thank you Rob Crow and Pinback band members, thank you for creating such emotional and harmonic music that makes life worth living. I can't wait for my first live concert in Minneapolis with Pinback, where I live, just to let me know that we have made it through this time of presidential tyranny, global pandemics, racial hatred unseen on levels in my history on this planet at the age of 40 and social unrest. Thank you Pinback for your support through music and love. Sad I'm going to die, hope it goings to happen later, later then I think.
I love how there is so much clear footage of pinback concerts. It makes it easier to learn all the parts. Even though im primarily a guitar player i just last week worked out some of the drum parts for Non photo blue by looking through these videos. I cant imagine a world where I didnt discover pinback as a 16 year old in 2006 and frankly i dont want to.
Boo and Loro are easily two of the most perfect diy pop songs ever written. Not a single unnecessary note. I’ll never forget buying the first album at tower records on impulse cause of a sticker saying a member of 3MP was involved, and I was a huge fan, so I knew that meant Armistead Burwell Smith IV. Who wrote nearly all my favorite 3MP tracks like “the house is loss.” If you love Pinback and haven’t heard that track, do yourself a favor check it out.
One of the most underrated bands ever. Pinback rocks!
Honestly Should be a big as bands like Radiohead, they’ve just been missed some how. Love this band so much.

Very
There’s a reason Pinback is my favorite band. Been listening for 20 years and I’m still in love with this band as day one.

They are so damn good.

the fact that loro is just two bass guitars is insane... armistead rules

No coincidence that this is probably the only youtube video I've ever seen without a single dislike :)

venom shirt
Pqp, tnc.... Muito mal divulgado! 😟
Such a good video love pinback but how can you botch the lyrics @14:15
Fake mouthing the wrong lyrics. But 4/5 stars overall performance.
Great performance but I wish he would stop doing that cha-cha-cha crap during Syracuse.
Why the stupid Baphomet shirt though?
