- Trailmakers is OUT of early access today! Version 1.0 is here and it brings all kinds of new content! Today I am looking at the brand new campaign mode where we have crash landed out space ship and need to salvage parts to repair the ship, improving and modifying our vehicle along the way. This also introduces us to the new electromagnet block which is probably the most significant block addition to the game! Can't wait to see what else is in store!

Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Thanks ScrapMan, your comment about the vehicle strength was everything for me. after I had played a free weekend back in the day I was not impressed with how easily the vehicle would break. It was a major issue for me to want to play. I will have to check this game again. awesome stuff.

if you press backspace to respawn, it will respawn you to the spot that you fell from and it will reset the salvages that have been move from their spot(except the ones that you have already got)

When you are getting the RAW Engine u should put a lot of weight at the back of the vehicle and put the magnet higher so it tuches the middle of the scrap ball

I have now seen the trailer for version 1.0 and I noticed that they put a vehicle inspired by your hovercraft with the rotating hoverpads ... they tried to hide them but I noticed them ...

Not sure how I feel about the transformation feature. It would be better to incentivize vehicles like the amphibian one, instead of ones that specialize and just switching between them.

On console, Use RB to open up tool menu, while in Build menu, AND Hinge is selected. Then select configure in the tool wheel. Then at the bottom you will be able to change Speed, Angle, And Button!
Multiplayer ideas:combined a car, truck ,sumbarien, and boat mixed together
a pickup truck with an electromagnetic crane on the front would be perfect
if he gets a thruster he might be able to take to the sky, i mean hes the one to show us that you can fly with paddles

starting at 1:22 reminded me of a little game called GROW UP...and maybe GROW HOME too...hey scrap man you should try those
Now just need a dump truck, to carry the items, and then turn that into a flying dump truck that can hold its cargo and barrel roll.
You should make a windwaker style fishing pole to drop down and grab the underwater loot

You should head south on the small island below you on the map. You can get the diving bell from there and make a submarine then.

I miss the Trailmakers Multiplayer Mondays, you should do alternate weeks, one Monday Scrapmechanic and next one monday Trailmakers and so on.

nothing happens if you push it into the ocean, because remember the intro some of the salvage requires you to go into the water to get it.
set up a machine that has electro magnet pointing down so they can't disturb the maneuvrability
