Red Enraged possessed soldiers do 1750 damage per hit. Only a handful of defenders can get close to that level of defense and thankfully Cuora is one of them
FUN FACT: Surtr and Amiya are not dying, they are forcely retreating after the skill. You will notice that you'll still get the DP refund even after you let them finish (die) their skill. Unless you're worying about their redeployment if you need them later immediately, it's okay to let them retreat on their own.
For Surtr skill 3, it is a little different from Amiya case because while yes, Amiya is forcefully retreat after skill, Surtr's skill 3 is actually infinite duration so u can keep her around the battlefield for as long as u can :v ... However, Surtr's force retreat gimmick lies in her talent where after reaching 1 HP, she'll fight for 8 - 9s before actually being force retreat. So, basically, Amiya after skill 3, she is forcefully retreat, no way of preventing that. But as for Surtr using s3, u can prevent the force retreat trigger from her talent from happening, it just that u have to somehow keep her alive while she's suffering up to 20% HP lost per second :v

Aak + Surtr completely melts Mephisto first phase, which is a mixed blessing. It means you can't do the stalling strategy, but if your defenders/medics are up to the task, you can set up your defenses near where he teleports and turn that into a valley of death. Strong area damage (Blaze, Eyja, Ifrit, Broca, Weedy, Meteorite, W...) can replace some of those stalling tactics, and then you Aak+Surtr through his second health bar. It takes FOREVER for that last wave to spawn, long enough for your ops to redeploy on the right side, and since his toxic cloud disappears on his death it's pretty doable. Not a low-end strat, but doesn't really require as much as the high-end either.

@@ayasealrokubi Well maybe because he thought that you all can realize it. Me myself replaced many ops with 6 stars, including blaze. It's better if you try to replace the Ops with the same archetype since Kyo did say its easy to replace. And blaze is better than Estelle since she is 6 star. I replaced all the defenders with 6 stars and I used Nian instead of Cuora. As long they do the same job, you can replace them.

@@ayasealrokubi the purpose of Estelle, Cuora and Cardigan is to stall the enemies and deal damage so they don't overflow, Blaze can very much do all of that so She can simply be put in front of blue box. You still need time to activate her skill though, so just deploy her early

This stage ia easier compared to m8-8 cm.. I do wonder if you have the high end overleveled squad.. can you kill mephisto in his shield prior to 2nd stage?
KyoStinV, can you redo your guides but going at x1 speed? I simply must follow your strategy at x1 speed lest I lose precious seconds from fat-fingering on my tablet, and I have had frustrating occurrences where my operators, sometimes at higher level/rarity, would die or let an enemy leak despite getting the timings right (since, you know, I am following the guide in x1 speed).
@@DetectiveRackham TBH instead of looking at the time or enemy count, pay attention to when enemies spawn and where they are at the moments Kyo does stuff. Better watch the vid in advance too, so you know that when X enemy is around that tile you can do Y thing. The guides are long as is and Kyo clearly doesn't like making long vids since it worries him they're too boring for people.

I suspect that the difference in speed might have something to do with these differences in results.
