I'm not too sure why people are saying that this is a bad ending... all things considered, this is what is best for everyone. From hints about Clover's backstory throughout the game, he clearly ran away from home and wouldn't really have anything left for him if he were to return to the surface. It's this, his love of monster kind, and knowledge that if he doesn't die here someone else will, that makes this the only valid option for him. After all, it is thanks to his sacrifice that the events of the original Undertale were able to take place.
That’s very true now that you say it. Their backstory was forgotten by me but yeah that definitely makes alot of sense. It’s just sad because there’s no extra plot twist finale after dealing with ceroba, like with the post flowey fight in the original game. It’s a good thing that the ceroba fight was intense and felt like a good final bossfight.
@demonharleygd7884 Clover's home life was likely abusive and he was neglected as a child ex) his favorite channel being tv static (there are other hints to clover's bad home life but that's the one I remember most)

At first i thought it meant he was an orphan especially since he doesnt doubt twice when asked by Martlet to live with her in the neutral route, but most likely he ran away from an abusive household because of how he manages to keep Ceroba calm and his dialogues in the ketsukane state

This ending made me leave my friends in discord and go to restroom to cry like a hour. I didn't cry like that even when my three-year relationship ended. "The end" screen was the last straw
The saddest part is that neither of Clovers friends lived to be free. They probably died years before Frisk entered the underground. They never got to know that’s Clovers sacrifice had saved monsterkind.

I just finished Katana Zero and I found it curious that YellowAfterlife appears in the credits of both games, I find it a really big coincidence since undertale yellow was the last game I finished before playing Katana zero
I feel like the pacifist route of yellow should have had an ending where you defy Clover's purpose to die, like I feel as if that should have been the ending where they no longer are a cog in the machine, maybe I'm alone on this, idc, I just feel as if the pacifist ending should have went differently, cuz like, you already have an ending when Asgore gets their soul, and that's the flawed pacifist ending, so like I don't get why this also had to be an ending where Clover dies. Actually, you know what would be a thousand times better? If at the very end of this route, you actually had a choice, you got to choose wether or not Clover stays with their friends or dies alone. Leave that up to us to decide.

While I do think that the way the True Pacifist ending went was necessary due to it being more in-line with the canon than the Flawed one (and because Im a sucker for endings that dont end TOO badly), I somewhat agree.
