- From developer TSG comes the 'DB Class 218' loco pack for Train Sim World 4 - including four scenarios as well as multiple locale timetables running both passenger and freight. Quite possibly one of the best vanilla sounds in TSW, this thing right here....

"Objective Failure!, Yes, such is my life." I laughed my arse off. Sean, You are entertaining as well as a great reviewer. I'll be getting this addon soon. Thanks for the informative and honest look at the DB-218
@@Starsnu1 lol
Life imitating art, or is it the other way round
Hamburg lübeck was from TSW 2 , IIRC after SKA as the german one but before Riesa heaven
It does make sense , the services onwards to kiel and Puttgarden are under non-electrified section of track
This is so cool; next Steam sale I'm picking this bad boy up!
This won't go on sale
When running a freight service the PZB-mode is either 70 or 55 depending on the weight of the train and the max speed in the time schedule of the train. Top speed of most freight trains is 100 kph, which also depends on the state of the line.
Good review, I might pick it up on sale as well. Too bad they didn't update Hamburg-Lubeck to ToD4 for this release. Also ngl maintalbahn is indeed a good route.
Thanks for the review. There are actually manual valves for the PZB & Sifa, you need to go to the #2 end and there is a hatch below the hand brake containing both. I find it alot easier just to do ctrl+enter for PZB and shift+enter for sifa though (it saves hunting around for the switches/valves)
@@yerolo ha, thanks. I looked around but didnt see anything extra in the 2nd cab, admittedly not very long
You dont need maintalbahn for it, it is a standalone dlc. But ofcourse this dlc works best with hamburg or maintalbahn route dlc
He kinda just mispoke, I'm sure he was referring to content he was about to show on the route.
08:08 A truly very appreciable statement and considerations in general, lieber Schnauzahpowahz 🥰, just as one would be accustomed to and expect from you. It’s great that you always manage to get right to the point!😘🤪🤗Amüsant ꒰ und 💎 👸✨ 😃 🌸🌟. 🌸 🍀☀🐞🐷🎩 Dankeschön 💐 🥰 👌🏼👍🏼 👑
Shiny I likey lol
It's nice to finally have a German mainline diesel on TSW and a decent quality one as well.
Not sure if its just me but does it feel a bit unoptimised as it seems to stutter in spots compared to other locos?
Tsw as a whole is unoptimized

Great review! Very nice visual details, great engine sound, really bad horn sound, the rest of the sounds are just average. Hate the typical unoptimisation of the game though, dropping frames when rendering the environment Infront of the locomotive, looks so bad...
Nice locomotive, but that horn kind of ruins it for me.
That horn sounds ... laughable. Way too high-pitched squeaky, thin and quiet. If you are on the platform and a BR218 is hooonkking at you, you'll jump, believe me ;-)
The engine sound ... is missing the diesel rumble, you're right.
The driving ... with 2x 218 and only 3 cars, they should have taken off way better. And the breaks ... you weren't using the independant only, right?
Edit: For the "right sound", and how fast 1 of them could get off with 4 double stacker cars, check "BRUTALER V12-SOUND - BR218 TB11 Vollgasanfahrt in Ampfing".
And some horn sound: "BR 218 446-3 MTU TB11 Sound, abfahrt Special mit Hupe echo!"
