I’ve got more planned. I have a whole new strategy and will also be utilizing Patreon and RUclips memberships for more personalized videos. More on that soon, thanks!
We try to stop for about a week per destination, both for cost and to allow ourselves to explore the area. We found some small towns to be friendly and welcoming and some to be standoffish. Some workers would smile and chat and others would stand around and frown at everyone. Local markets were often a delight and we found some surprising and delicious foods in the most out of the way places. Laundromats were another matter entirely. We did find that after traveling for a few months, it was nice to stop somewhere and spend a few weeks recuperating.
We lived, traveled and worked on the road for just over 2 1/2 years. Although it was fun at times, and we met and made some great friends, who remain great friends with us, we didn't find Full Time RVing as great as some RUclipsrs made it out to be. After 2 1/2 years, we sold the RV and purchased a small 2-bedroom home in Kentucky.
Hey Pippi, Nice to see you back. Are you considering getting back into RV'ing? My entire family lived in a tiny Airstream trailer back in the early '70's for about 6 months after immigrating to America. Other than that I have never lived full time in an RV, just recreational RV'ing. Btw, what are your thoughts regarding de-dollarization, world reserve currency shift, and the significance of the 2017-2024 solar eclipses? Best wishes.
I've got a camper shell on the back of my truck so I think for now I'll just keep my house and travel for few weeks at a time throughout the year. The mountains are calling!
After finding you on RUclips around 10 years ago or so not exactly sure when. I set out to make this journey happen for myself. Now I've been on the road for 7 years the end of July will b 8 years. I hope to someday to be able to run into you and visit for a while. 🤠
Pippi..i'm heading out tomorrow, still part time til the end of next year, please keep the information coming ,I do miss your traveling video.. hope all well maybe one day I will meet you on road or at RV show
a thing i learned rv'ing full time is always keep enough water in the black tank so you don't get a mountain of tp clogging it up. and don't use the 3 ply 😅
Hey Pippi, how are you? I've been following you for many years now and missing the videos so it's nice to see you back. I was a bit confused with the transition period but you seem very settled where you are now and are you travelling again? Good to hear you've started your own business. How are the doggies? Do hope your family are well. You were one of the original van lifers and certainly still one of the best RUclips creators I've seen. A very gifted young lady. Lots of love from Edinburgh Scotland. PS - originally found your channel as I was about to go full time and I wanted to do research beforehand with a couple of channels. I watched them for quite a long time including yours and I did live for nearly 6 months full time in my camper in the UK ❤
Pippi, a comment you made years ago has stuck with me ever since. You were comparing taking a shower in your RV to a "real" shower in a camp ground facility with tons of water pressure and unlimited water. You said, "I feel so clean, I feel like a dolphin." And that's the one area where RV's just can't compete.
Great advice as usual. I have a RV, but I also motorcycle cross country sometimes. It’s not nearly as must fun when you’re going solo. And you worry about all your gear when you have to walk away. It’s open to looters!
A very informative video on your experiences. It’s so good to see you on RUclips again. You were always one of my very favorite channels. I hope you are doing well. I would enjoy a video on where you have been and what you are doing. Take care!
Man I haven’t learned a darn thing living in my brick and mortar house on the left coast. I’m 82 now so the one thing I keep trying to learn is how to stay above the grass, so far so good.
Good to see a video on your channel again. I lost a pet a couple of years ago and through the process I was thinking of how you dealt with the lead up to your loss of your dog that you were so kind as to share with your viewers. So belatedly, thanks so much.
After feeling devastated when our dog passed, we've chosen to never have another, not only for the emotional turmoil of this, but the picking up after them, the vet bills, the going for specific walks when you really don't desire to do so, and the cost of food, which like 'our' food, now has gotten so expensive. I wouldn't want to feel such sadness again, of losing a pet personally.
I met a number of retirees that were RVing around America so they could figure out where they wanted to permently retire, I thought that was a clever idea. I my self have done some what the same thing. As a snow bird from Canada, I have tried Florida, Texas, and Arizona. I settled on Arizona, it might not be as warm as Florida, but the weather is a lot more reliable. I think RVing is a great experience, especially as you my not be sleeping in the same city every night but at least you are sleeping in your own bed.
I'm the same, where work isn't a necessity now, so it's about enjoying the area we choose to go to. Also, as a Snowbird we spend 3 months of our winter (live in western Canada) in Arizona, plus many smaller local trips of course during the summer months. I've followed Pippi for a few years now, and would like to know how her 'home renovation' business worked out, if she's still doing it, or moved on? Also, like others wondering if she will be taking up full time RVing again!
So glad to see you! Came so close to trying to contact you recently and brag about my offgrid solar cabin... Again, thanks for being such a great role model to me:) You're the coolest gal in this country! I learned that spreading positivity and being a good conversationalist were true assets in life.
I've never full time RVed, so I can't speak for that. I can say hey Pippi though lol.. so great seeing you Pippi. Thanks for the video. Thumbs up ~John
I have followed you for a long time because I really like you, but I fear you will leave again and again I will have to start the grieving process one more time.
It should be noted that Pippi is someone that strives for an apartment on wheels. For those of similar interests, she is an excellent resource. For vanlifers and people of similar ilk, very little applies as it is a very different experience with a different experience and a different way-of-life. Otherwise, she is a delightful person and creates entertaining videos, but only informative for those seeking a rolling apartment or maybe maximally mobile tiny houses.
After watching so many of her videos for so long, I agree with you! Their are things such as electrical issues, solar and Lithium Pippi is well aware of that could help with, no matter the size of vehicle.
@@Powerstroke98 One could do also say there are issues that apply to a Mac truck that also apply to a Honda Civic, but I wouldn't want to rely on Mac truck videos to maintain or repair a Honda Civic. Pippi's videos have value to a certain segment (class A and fifth wheelers), but mainly entertaining to most.
Ah yes, sunbeams and flowers, NOT! It still is a life that is what YOU make it. I loved my time on the road. Now that I am not as healthy as I used to be, (28 years later) it is the small trips, 3,4,5 days mostly to the sea, that I enjoy now. Life is what you make it, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.
Pippi !!! Been following you for years missed you so much please don't leave again

Hi Pippi. Sure glad to see you back after all this time. Hope everything is going good. Do you still have your Greyhounds.
Enjoy all your posts.
I do!

It definitely was on some days! Lol

Agreed, and Arizona is where we sit for the winter months, as living in western Canada the dreary weather gets monotonous!
I did this, too. Btw you just gave me a new idea for a video! Thanks!
@@PippiPeterson You are welcome.
Awesome
😁How is static life treating you.?.....the raised garden beds producing good quality veggies i hope👍
Excellent fruits and veggies when they produce!
It would be nice to see how the penny table is holding up on the ol' bounder.
Yes it would!
I love that you're posting again. I hope you found your slice of heaven in the Southwest.

I remember parking next to you for a week or two in turquoise trail in New Mexico. Glad you are still at it!
Lucky you, I always thought it would be so nice to have a long chat with Pippi! She profoundly educated on many fronts!

Hi!
It's been a lllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg time since you have graced You tube, Facebook too.
Long time, no see.
