beautiful car :) Always wanted one of those for long time but they was so rare that i've decided to stay with my R32 Skyline and E50 Elgrand. Maybe one day i'll be able to get one of those :)
Hey Derek, other than getting you to translate the auction sheets or looking into the VIN, is there any way to tell what month a car was manufactured? I have google translate on my phone and have never been able to find it on the auction sheets. Referring to 2003 models for import to Canada. Thanks.
Yes, in most cases, it is in the top left corner. It will be something like 15/2. That number 15 = 2013 and 2 = february (the second month). Japanese dates are weird but you can find a conversion online if you like.
If you are taller, it is fine (I'm 6'2) but to be comfortable you will need a much smaller steering wheel than the stock one Then you will be fine. Stock seats are pretty thin, but if you can find an even thinner one, it could help also.... But I can SOMEWHAT fit alright in 100% stock AZ-1.
It's true (because they don't have matching number of cylinders per fire oder) but this car was shakier than the regular running condition of this engine.
I did go and look at the size comparisons, and there is one parked next to a new F150-- and it looks, surreal. It looks photoshopped. Such a tiny little car.
Sooo i take it there wont be a video of the fc rx7 or the what looked like a gloria/laurel/cedric on wheels that were in the background in last weeks videos???
Chan 300076 no you don't. Plenty rhd cars legally driving in the U.S. How do you think the mailman delivers mail to people? Driving in reverse in a lhd car?
6' 1" is probably the safe max, heard some 6'3" people fits. Some people take off the cushion to gain a few extra inches. Sorry I gave it in Imperial not Metric...
better do it quick, heard something about aus gov clamping down on importers, (was meant to stop people importing vans then selling them as people movers or something?) however some wankstains used that to also blanket ban japanese "sports cars"
you are correct there are a few in Aus since i have actually seen them on carsales once which is how i came to know about the autozam. Just browsed around and saw one and fell in love with it. They were selling them for over 18k when i saw it which was way over my budget.
yea they are trying to prevent importers from importing sports cars now which is kind of annoying. But fingers crossed that they don't do it or else all the current JDM cars will skyrocket in price. money hungry pigs. hopefully the kei sports cars are exempted....
Ouch, that accident damage is severe! You'd never be allowed to drive this on the UK roads with that kind of chassis damage. It's never ever going to drive 'right' after something like that. The owner might not care but I personally wouldn't touch this with a bargepole, even if it was dirt cheap. Hopefully the new owner doesn't plan on trying to do anything daft and endanger people on the US roads.
I always knew this as the Autozam, I never knew Suzuki had a version of it as well
sh. Same here, and I thought I knew my 90's kei cars.
the cappuccino and the AZ-1 use the same engine.
Suzuki made it for Mazda. So the Mazda versions have Suzuki drivetrain, etc. Same engine as Cappuccino, Alto Works, etc
This guy did a great job. Even when he signed for the camper van he held the camera steady so we could see the paper 📝.
So cool man! Lord knows if I wasn't tried up in a car payment I would be importing JDM classics left and right. One dream at a time!

If the Japanese did "Back to the Future," this would be the car.
I want one of these so bad...It's going to be a collectable for sure.
you know they are rare when google suggest "suzuki cars" when you type in "suzuki cara" for images.

Ah, okay thank you. I get it now. I appreciate you answering and your work. We will be in touch in the future.
prices about to skyrocket
wittmannger ...already have.. :/

I've already got a skyline
Cool car. 3 cylinder engines generally shake about a bit

Cool car, You did not show under the front? Does the front hood come up for a trunk storage? Or stays closed? How much do you want for it? I want one

When will we get more on the Honda City Turbo?
This week is super busy but I am eager to check it out.
How much would these go for now?
hundreds were made. the mazda versions thousands made. (something like 400 vs 3000-4000
All this needs is a suzuki busa motor swap .id do a zx14r myself but yeah. 190hp in this sporty lil fart would be killer
Sooo i take it there wont be a video of the fc rx7 or the what looked like a gloria/laurel/cedric on wheels that were in the background in last weeks videos???
The FC is for a dealer... the sedan... I am not sure which car it is. If it was the Celsior, that's for a dealer too.
Sorry plus sorry
PacificCoastAuto you know you're Canadian when you apoligize for being sorry
I wonder how difficult it would be too put a B series engine in that car?
Cool :)
Need a Cara AZ-1.
thumbsUP!
you will still have to convert it to left hand drive... if you want... to import it to the US.... does that come... with the package...??
Chan 300076 no you don't. Plenty rhd cars legally driving in the U.S. How do you think the mailman delivers mail to people? Driving in reverse in a lhd car?
@0:51 Must have something to do with being importable to the USA. ;)
nice car. engine needs some hot oil massage and romantic music:)
I'm 1.99 meter... i can't drive, right? Even if i install a removable steering?
Try it out before you go to buy one. I would think it would be too small but your body might be different from mine.
PacificCoastAuto thanks! Your channel are fantastic!

Why does this have Autozam badging and not Cara badging?
The front has Cara badge, the rear was replaced... likely Suzuki parts were not available given they are so much rarer.
The front has the autozam badge on it though?
probably so it matched the rear. it'd be like if you had an mx5, and put some USDM "Miata" badging on it, or a JDM Eunos badge
Adam Wood Rear accident.
three cylinder engines are shaky like that, it's just normal .
man i want one of these, but don't seem like i can import them into australia... guess i'll have to settle with a suzuki cappuccino.
There's a fair number of them in AUS owned by collectors/importers just got to look around

yeah, not to mention it would kill our local importer businesses, way to kill our country's car market straya >:|
I don't think you understand how hard it is to find video of someone opening those windows
I will do the windows down in the next video just for you.
PacificCoastAuto be still my beating heart
It takes only one wind to fully open, ha

Cheaper than a Delorean
This car Is an Autozam
Only the body i guess (the design). The car is 90% suzuki.
Tom
No it isnt .... about 40% or more are regular mx5 / miata parts
Just had a thought, a mk1 Tesla Roadster battery and motor installed.
*NOT AN AUTOZAM*
William Mememan *NOT A BIKE*
