    My husband is a giant (6ft6” with a big build) and he has the most stunning ballet feet I have ever seen. I started ballet at the age of three and still practice every day (I’m 65) and I’m green with envy every time he ‘taunts’ me with them (which he does all the time) 😂.

      @@zoesolanki961my sons are like that and my turn out is permanently on the struggle bus because my right ankle was destroyed and had to be fused so no more jumping onto that foot ever again, that and my right leg is now got some muscle atrophy from limited range of motion in said ankle, the first time I truly valued my feet was when I couldn’t put any weight on one for 12 weeks….whooooo boy do you learn how weak your core is when you have to walk with the upper body 😂 and those knee scooters 😳 most intense hip workout I’ve ever had was rolling around on one of those for 3 months 😅 I loathe crutches 🩼 the most no matter how helpful they are because we’re not meant to walk with our extreme upper body and my trapezius took a beating by my crutches for a few weeks, I wasn’t in any kind of shape at the time and I have fibromyalgia, movement is the enemy of fibromyalgia and once it gets you down, it tries every trick and lie in the book to keep you on your butt, I fight with it daily and I’m ever so slowly getting my dancing feet back and my muscle memory is still there, just waiting for the chance to dance 💃🏻 again, for now I get to just bop in the kitchen and hallways and just enjoy dancing with my baby granddaughter, who’s feet are perfect 🥹and her mama is a dancer so the chances are high that she’s going to be in dance class because she’s already doing it 😇🥰

    The dancer feet thing, happened to me too. Our high school was beside the Canadian ballet school so they went to our school. Well in gym class I ended up having a bunch of dancers ending up " testing " me in a few things cause during stretches one called out my foot shape then saw my stretchyness and asked if I ever did ballet. I was always big like at her asking time I weighed 300+ and I'm short. She nearly slapped me for my no I'm to get answer. Oh at one point I could go on point in combats and "ballet walk" that made her super annoyed ballet was so "exclusive " but made girls like me feel a bit better ya know. Glad it's more open now.

      @BliffleSplick literally forgot to add that part. My sister just found out she had it and we share similar "party tricks" and some of the things they test inguess in have it "worse". It makes me wonder how many dancers actually suffer with eds.

      @im-mi627 10 месяцев назад

      Yeah I have the same thing except I don't think I have eds just a little flexy and double jointed. But since I'm on the short side I often tip toe. So I've been able to to do the ballet thing since I was young

    • @202cardline
      @202cardline 9 месяцев назад

      @@im-mi627 After watching this channel I wondered what the feet thing was about. My feet look just like that - and I am not a dancer. But I am short and go on my tip toes a lot. Coincidently I was also tested for EDS and firmly do not have it. (I have a different non-bendy autoimmune disorder) I think there’s something to your theory.
      I’m also going to embrace the idea of us being special; look upon our feet and weep!

You pretty much just have a chair and a basket for your costumes. The costume racks take up the center of the room. The room is sectioned off with curtains to make separate dressing rooms. And quick changes happen in the hallway or in the wings with a flashlight 😂

I’m 15, and I’ve done ballet for about a year now (I started from a very young age until I was around 9 or so, then stopped), but I’ve done it very chilled/ as a hobby, so I’m really at a beginner level. I’d like to become a lot better, and was wondering how good I can become and what I’d have to do/ how much I’d have to work, and if I have any chances (I know they’re slim 😔)? I don’t want to become professional (although it is my childhood dream), I know that impossible, sadly, I’d just like to really work hard and become a lot better. Love you!

    Ha ha when my now 15 yo daughter was in ballet when she was like 5, they had a class where they invited the parents in to dance with the kids. The teacher seriously gushed over my feet and I thought it was super weird. She couldn't believe I'd never danced. Then a few years later, took a yoga class and the instructor told me she thought I was a 20yo dancer not a 40yo mom of 4. My secret? Ehlers-Danlos and the highest arches my podiatrist has ever seen. 😅 I'm having foot surgery the 28th to remove my type 3 accessory navicular and repair my posterior tibial tendon. 😬 EDS also makes you look younger, so I guess that's a perk that does not in any make up for the cons. I also wear a size 10 even though I'm only 5'4.5, but I guess it's ok for dancers to have giant feet if they're shaped right? Lol

    I've also never done ballet and my feet also look like that! I think it's because I'm a goblin who sits on her feet most of the time combined with mild hypermobility.

    My daughters feet look so "ballet" it's uncanny. And she loves it, too. There are no classes in our region, that teaches kids as young as three (it begins at 6), but rn she is either a bunny, a spider man, preferably miles morales, or a ballerina.
