I had a 36 week pregnant momma in my class in June. She came back yesterday and did the whole class with her newborn in a carrier sling. Looked like she hadn't missed a day at the barre, I was in awe!
I restarted ballet at 25, got pregnant a few months later, did ballet until I was 7months pregnant and it was amazing. I went back after my baby was about nine months (he's almost two now) and I got my first pointe shoes ever two months ago at almost 28! It's been amazing
My husband is a giant (6ft6” with a big build) and he has the most stunning ballet feet I have ever seen. I started ballet at the age of three and still practice every day (I’m 65) and I’m green with envy every time he ‘taunts’ me with them (which he does all the time) 😂.

The dancer feet thing, happened to me too. Our high school was beside the Canadian ballet school so they went to our school. Well in gym class I ended up having a bunch of dancers ending up " testing " me in a few things cause during stretches one called out my foot shape then saw my stretchyness and asked if I ever did ballet. I was always big like at her asking time I weighed 300+ and I'm short. She nearly slapped me for my no I'm to get answer. @BliffleSplick literally forgot to add that part. My sister just found out she had it and we share similar "party tricks" and some of the things they test inguess in have it "worse". It makes me wonder how many dancers actually suffer with eds.
Yeah I have the same thing except I don't think I have eds just a little flexy and double jointed. But since I'm on the short side I often tip toe. So I've been able to to do the ballet thing since I was young
@@im-mi627 After watching this channel I wondered what the feet thing was about. My feet look just like that - and I am not a dancer. But I am short and go on my tip toes a lot. My ballet class was the only place my body felt good and my Braxton Hicks stopped while I was pregnant. Unfortunately, I developed complications at 30 weeks and had to stop, but it really does change the way you can move. One of my dancer friends went all the way until the week before delivering. She had to modify, but it was amazing! And then she Zoomed with her baby the next week. We didn't do class, we just oohed and ahhed over that sweet one!
Loving Josephine's comment about people pulling up leotards. My guess is that Josephine isn't old enough to remember the high-cut leotards of the 1980s!

The lady who was pregnant is absolutely gorgeous. I dont know how she lifts her leg that high but i agree her being pregnant adds something more graceful to it
Going off the last TikTok, at my old studio we would hold a contest at the beginning of every class at who’s knees would “pop” the first especially when warming up with pliés. I won many LOL. 🌴☀️🌴
Oh wow! I do musical theatre (I act in musicals) and our dressing rooms could not be more different than that ballerina’s dressing room! You pretty much just have a chair and a basket for your costumes. The costume racks take up the center of the room. The room is sectioned off with curtains to make separate dressing rooms. And quick changes happen in the hallway or in the wings with a flashlight 😂
OMG 2:14, my feet do that! I only danced for like 6 months at age 7, so I have no idea where it comes from. I do get great enjoyment out of pointing my feet and pretending I can get pointe shoes
working out while pregnant is actually good for you, esp something like ballet that requires so much core strength. she gonna push that baby out so fast the doctor's gonna need a catcher's mitt.
watching this just made me rethink if the way my feet bend is normal for someone who hasn't done ballet my entire life but i always pretended like i did do it
Okay, I genuinely love watching dancers of any type, so that pregnant momma was amazing. Also, that person with the feet is so lucky, and they don't even know it.
Because of her reaction to the techs feet, I feel like Josephine would get an onlyfans account just to look at the feet and guess what shoes to give them 😂😂❤
The foot thing 😅 I have the same kind of feet but only took a very brief amount of ballet in theatre school almost 20 years ago. I have EDS so my problem is control and muscle strength. Flexibility is an inherent part of hEDS.
i was a dancer age 5 - 14 and was a competitive dancer for 4 yrs i had to quit for mental health reasons and i now 3 years later i regret it so bad. i also took ballet classes for technique but i regret not pursuing ballet just because none of my friends liked it. i have wanted to go back and take ballet seriously but i thought it was too late, but ur channel inspired me to sign up for classes again even though im 17. thank u
When our principal was pregnant you could NOT tell until she turned sideways and then it was like WHOA BABY!! 😂 she took class until 1 week before delivery, popped her kiddo out, and was back in class THE NEXT WEEK with baby ❤ drs said she had the best pelvic floor they had ever seen!! ❤ and pretty soon that lil peanut was bopping around during class, grabbing a leg here and a leg there with about 20 new “mommas” happy to entertain her as she jumped and ping ponged around between us
My feet also look like that and I'm taking adaptive classes when i get in shape. I'm physically disabled so it's slow going but I've loved ballet since I was a child. I can't wait to start classes.

It exists, it's called Barre
@super_siri not really? where i dance barre can get really intensive
@mayochupenjoyer can, but it's used as a warm up generally speaking so it can go as slow as you want it to.
