Flørli - 4444 steps

The Flørli stairs, in Lysefjorden, Norway, have 4,444 wooden steps which climb from sea level to 740 metres (2,428 feet). It is a maintenance stairway for the water pipeline to the old Flørli hydro plant. The hydro plant is now closed down, and the stairs are open to the public (Hiking). The stairway is claimed to be the longest wooden stairway in the world.

Hej hvor lang tager turen op af trapperne cirka hvis man er i okay form og stien ned langs bjerget er den svær ? Og hvor langtid tager det cirka på forhånd tak mvh Jacob

Vi overnattet i Flørli fra dagen i forkant og gikk tidlig om morgenen, slik at vi nådde båten på ettermiddagen (HUSK at du må ta båt til Flørli).

Hi,
We're planning this same trip for the next summer. Can you tell me how long it took you to go up by stairs and down true the path? We want to take the ferry from Lysebotn to Florli (arrive at: 12:45) then do the climbing and take the ferry back to Forsand (at 18:45.) so we got 6 hours in Florli.

It depends how fit you are. We spent 5 hours on the round trip. Should you go up the stairs and down again, you must expect 2.5 hours. www.ut.no/tur/2.7243/ (in norwegian). Remember good hiking shoes. Have a good trip, it's wonderful when you get up the mountain side :-)
