Edit: since you asked at the end. I studied video production because I had wanted to tell stories. Instead I edited weddings and worked on motion graphics which was fun but wasn’t really a creative expression. Now I’m 40 and have a completely different career.
I’ve got some weird stories that I’d like to tell, maybe in writing. But lately, by the time I’m done with work, I have a hard time mustering the energy to start. Might be in a depressive state. ( ⊙﹏⊙)

Congratulations!!! I have honestly struggled finding my career passion after graduating with my associates in 2012/2014 and it was not until 2020 I went back for my bachelor's in social media. The struggle to find your neiche is the best obstacle to overcome.
my struggle is dealing with schizophrenia and coding, but that doesn't stop me from being optimistic. Channels like this one really gets me going about how we will solve problems like schizophrenia with crisper or brain computer interfaces.

I’m not a comedian, but I can absolutely relate to this video. As a classical musician, who basically failed to make a career for myself (at least one that pays the bills), hitting your thirties can be a crossroads. My wife and I really wanted to start a family, and the uncertainty of work just made it feel impossible. We moved back to our home town, I’m working a day job and baby #1 is almost here. I’ve not given up on my dreams, but it’s lower on the priority list, and I know that means it’s less likely to happen. I’ve come to terms with that. I know when I’m 60, I’ll be much happier doing a day job with a family, than having “success” in my career without. Plus, the colleges music programs are dying so getting work isn’t even a guarantee if I kept at it. You see life really differently when you’re 38 than when you’re 28…
Kudos to you, man, for keeping at it and hustling on RUclips. You’re going to break through the noise-it has to happen! Your content is top notch. Some of the best out there. Once you find that thread that gains traction, just dig in and it will happen. I have to believe it can. It did for Joe Scott. His story is really inspiring to me. He wanted to be a film maker, now he’s a science communicator with over a million subscribers, a podcast… so cool. I hope something similar happens for you with tech and comedy.

What are we into you ask? 🤔 I want to turn my business into a national franchise. It is doable but a hard problem for me to do. I enjoy overcoming the seemingly impossible struggles, even the self inflicted ones and then piecing together all the small successes to grow and build, etc.
I like seeing how the idea/dream is becoming real….slowly, piece by piece. 🤷🏻♂️
