Back in 2021, RSP Singapore completed the rejuvenation of 3 iconic sites in East Coast Park (ECP); Big Splash, Goldkist Beach Resort "Chalet" and the memorable "Burger King Drive-Thru". After years of rapid development, the park was over-commercialised and has lost its recreational focus.
How do we redevelop yet retain the nostalgia associated to these sites and keep it close to hearts of parkgoers? RSP's Senior Architect, Madeni Jais, shares about the design considerations and thoughtful research that went into ECP Rejuvenation.
