I am from Oregon. I collect hundreds of sand dollars to paint scenes on. There's a lot of cleaning and prep work before I can actually start painting but my work is gorgeous if I do say so myself. I wish I was with you to collect sand dollars. Your weather/ocean conditions are warmer than where I'm from. I am typically frozen and soaked from the rain when I finish my search. Thanks for the great videos.
Oregon, has by far, some of the most beautiful beaches. I live in California; we've got fab beaches, but I think Oregon beaches are even better. The scenery IS Gorgeous 😍 ❤
Bet they're pretty ! My grandparents visited Oregon once. Grandpa brought me back a long pen shell ! I had it for years until my popcorn can of shells was stolen. I am going to do a shell talk for the library kids, so I'm needing shells to show them.
It's a slow way to go, but even in a landlocked area you can collect. I got to see the ocean when I was a teen, North Carolina. I will never see it again, but like to read about it, etc. There is nothing to keep you from a few touches of the sea, friend PS: I always wanted to see a shell show. Check out their trip to the shell museum at Yampoon, Australia. Pretty cool !!!
Love it! So many cool finds! Thanks for sharing! I wish i could come to Australia & find Textile Cone, big Cowries, Checkered Bonnets, and others! I always enjoy your content.
A 5 hole sand dollar is on my bucket list. A sea biscuit, sea cookies and arrowhead and a six hole, and west coast ovals without holes but no 5 hole. Want to trade ?--- Missouri.❤
@birdsflowers2289 Huntington Beach, NC you can find many sea biscuits and Florida beaches you can usually always find 5hole keyhole sand dollars. South Carolina barrier island have loads of Whelks, really big ones

That zebra shell is beautiful
Please be sure to name the shells as you find them for dummies like me that only knows shells found in Florida!!
Fabulously old and thick "baler" volute you found there ! You certainly won't be using it to bail water from your canoe, Sir !.
We only find 5 hole keyhole sand dollars!
