Hi RF i was wondering is there a way to save profiles for sdr , hdr and gaming modes or does the tv remember its sources? Live tv and sports is said to be 4k but I can tell it is sd and then wgen I switch to say disney + its much better but I need to tweak a few settings every time . Gaming mode I just do auto or do you have some tips? Thanks

Thanks for the sharing. I have just bought the QN95B and can’t find the best setting to let the TV fit for both day and night. My watching environment would be quite dark at night while it is a bright room at day. Wish you can help.

Good question. I actually like both. Standard looks great, particularly for SDR content. I’ve been watching more Netflix lately, and Movie Mode looks great with that, and is more ‘accurate’. I’d say go with either, whatever is more pleasing to your eye based on the content you watch.

I have used these settings for SDR and have fixed up a lot of issues I have been having I bought my qn90b four months ago and have not been happy with the consistency of the picture. the only issue I have now is with Amazon fire stick 4k. it seems to produce a better picture in intelligent mode. i was wondering if I switch to Intelligent mode would the settings that I am happy with for other inputs remain the same when I switch intelligent mode off. I bought the q90b neo qled today, and when I tried to change the graphics some settings but it kinda blocked me (when I clicked and it says me "you can't change this setting"). Could you explain or tell me if it's possible to find a way to change it ?
Depends what picture mode you have and what content/source you’re watching. Are you watching cable TV? Streaming HDR? Firestick? Some settings might be greyed out for incompatible sources/content.

Ok quick question I new to qled tvs and I have a qn85b TV and to set the sdr settings I just do it on standard picture mode or do I go on samsung tv plus app and chose a show and then change the settings? Sorry if I dont make sense but this is my first flagship TV
If you’re not streaming HDR, then your TV will be in SDR mode. So if you’re watching ‘normal’ TV via cable or satellite, that will most likely be SDR content.

Great video and the best one so far. I’ve just purchased a Q70B and really struggling with the settings. I’ve selected dynamic mode as movie and filmmaker just seem so dull in colours when I want to try make the most of the QLED. My question is …. Picture clarity settings …. Any reason you’ve selected off? Wouldn’t blur reduction and judder reduction be advantages? Also in addition I am unable to locate local dimming as an option to select?
Hi and thanks for the feedback. Filmmaker Mode or Movie Mode will give you the most accurate image. But I'd recommend Standard picture mode if you don't like them. Picture Clarity should be off for accuracy, but by all means leave it on if you don't get any issues, it's fine. Sometimes you can get a bit of a soap opera effect on content with picture clarity, and not everyone picks up blur or judder, so experiment with this. Local Dimming should be available, but it'll depend on your picture settings and the content you stream or watch. If I set my TV to Standard picture, it's available to chose for SDR content.

Hi, I'd suggest leaving Picture Clarity settings to Off, but if you want to have it turned on then set it to Auto. It'll then only come into play when needed, and not be on for every type of content. I've not really done any in depth testing on the sliders, so I can't tell you which way works best. I know some other channels cover this in more detail than me. Thanks again for your comment.
I keep messing with the motion settings. Some advice me to turn it off, others tell me to set both settings to 3. I primarily watch sports, sadly in sdr most of the time 😅 Can somebody please help me?

I just bought a Samsung Q60B 43" and the picture appears to be unnatural with faster acceleration-movement than real life. Also, the picture movements are making me nauseous at times. My previous Samsung of 15 years had a natural flow. Any ideas?
Have you tried my picture settings? You could always revert to ‘Standard’ picture mode if all else fails. You may need to tweak the motion settings, but some people are also much more prone to see motion blur (if that’s what you’re referring to).
@@TheReviewFella I found the issue. The DirecTV box reverted to 740P instead of being at 1080i. Returning to 1080i, made the screen at a correct ratio size and the screen slowed down with natural movement. For others, press info, go to the right of the top menu and look for Audio/Video of any show playing. Do 1080i Stretch. Then it will be saved at the correct setting. Thank You !
To samsung qn90b , on 1430.1 firmware , the motion looks too smooth , even with motion settings disabled. In Filmmaker mode, this problem is also present. To firmware 1310.1 motion was verry good for movies . In menu service what is the diferences between those two firmwares , to the motion and bfi settings ?
I don't really track firmware changes but you should be able to see a detailed page listing any changes on the software/firmware update section of Samsung's website.
I just got QN91B a few days ago and I’m not sure if I should use inteligent mode. I like some aspects of it like when I’m in the menu on my Apple TV it makes it smoother and sharper and when I watch something like this video or a movie it goes to something similar to movie mode. But sometimes whites change wron more blue to worm randomly, some apple screen savers are not accurate to real life (also not warm enough [lights in the uk from space are white despite being actually yellowish]) and I feel like her might be to blue too.. do you know if there is any fix for that?
Hi, I try and keep it simple and never use intelligent modes. Movie mode will certainly make things warmer and more yellow. Standard mode will make things look colder and rather blue. I only change the settings as in the video, but you might benefit from calibrating your TV (perhaps). But I’ve never found the need to.

Hi, the Samsung QN90B has Dynamic, Standard, Movie and Filmmaker picture modes. It may depend on your source if you can select them, but they are the default options out of the box. Game mode is also available. Rtings.com have more detailed calibration settings for this TV if that’s what you’re looking for.
Bro same problem 😢 I have bought q60b whites are very very bright and blacks are very black and colors are not that great while watching any natural videos I had first bought bu8000 which was bestest in viewing colors. It was having some remote connectivity so I exchanged with very difficulty. Samsung don't help to exchange easily if you don't like the tv, there must be any fault to exchange other wise they don't . So when you buy from stores then don't show common or natural videos which we watch at home so see all contents which you like to watch in TV give them hotspots and watch then if you like it buy other wise don't respond for exchanges.

I try and keep it simple and only change the settings as in the video. Picture quality changes depending on the source so I try not to worry too much about skin tones etc. The biggest effect on picture seems to be the picture mode (Standard, Movie etc).

I struggle to find a good brightness setting, my room is bright during the day so finding a setting good for daytime that works well when it gets dark is tough.
I had the same issue and turned on Brightness Optimisation. I set the minimum brightness to 21 (on the Brightness Optimisation page), and let the TV handle brightness based on ambient light. Try it, it worked really well for me.
Are you doing another video now you have the TV? Do you use low or high local dimming in game mode on PS5 with hdr on and game hdr on? I ask because i feel like i should be using high, but this seems to make the pictuer very bright/washed out vs low. 43 inch qn90b uk version for reference. Also, for SDR does local dimming on high actually work properly? Some suggestions from elsewhere are SDR local dimming low. HDR high. Then theres the game mode which is just up in the air as to whats actually going on lol.
Turning off game mode turns off vysnv in my nvidia control panel for me. Be warned. Any settings on your pc are saved separately depending on game mode on or off. As in your pc will treat each mode (game off/on) as it would a completely different monitor
I’ve not had a good experience with trying to get this TV. I returned several due to bad pixels, and one had a cracked bezel. I just use the settings in the video and it works fine. I use the default game settings as in the video.
@@ksks6802 sorry this was for PS5, although the TV appears to do the similar thing you describe where if you turn game mode on/off you have to set teh picture/expert settings up seperatley.

Does anyone know why most of my options are greyed out? I even tried connecting it with my cable and playing cable in the background. Most options still greyed out on my qn85b.
Not sure about that. I have intelligent mode and eye comfort turned off. If you can’t resolve it then I’d be tempted to factory reset the TV, which will put all settings back to default.
I’m confused. My Samsung QN90B 55-inch doesn’t have Movie Mode, Filmmaker Mode or Standard. All it has In Picture Mode is Optimized and EyeComfort…modes.
You must have changed something? Those other modes are standard out of the box. If unsure you could always factory reset you’re TV to see if you can get it back to the default options. But you will lose any custom settings.
U have it on auto mode it should be left of picture mode in the mini settings menu when you change it picture mode will let u choose from dynamic standard. movie. And film maker. I use auto mode when im watching sports it handles everything then disable it for sdr/hdr content

The best way to negate washed out colours is to set shadow detail to 1, and st.2084 to -1, then fine tune the standard picture sittings afterwards.

You’re welcome. I don’t think Intelligent Mode will reset your other settings. But it’s not something I have tried myself.
Does good quality lan cables help with picture quality?
Anything that helps give a strong and stable internet connection will help with streaming. And a good quality network cable is essential.
I have Q67B 55 inch model. Can i use the same settings like yours ? Or must be diffrent ?
It should work fine. These settings are ok for all B series TVs.

That might be the issue. Try the built in apps, Netflix, Amazon etc. All the settings should be available for compatible content and sources.

I don’t have that particular model but no lag on the QN90/95B.
Should i use picture clarity Auto or off ? Because sometimes i see motion blur ?
I just leave it as default (out of the box). You’ll need to experiment with it if you are suffering from judder or blur.

@@ksks6802 sorry this was for PS5, although the TV appears to do the similar thing you describe where if you turn game mode on/off you have to set teh picture/expert settings up seperatley.

My 43in purchase was flawless directly fron Samsung UK. TV is immaculate to my novice eyes.
So just to clarify. The HDR section says you leave most at default. Was local dimming high at the default? Cheers.

The only mode that really works is the Dynamic mode,
The only problem I got with this TV, is there's not enough contrast/color and I can't fix it...
Does anyone know why most of my options are greyed out? I even tried connecting it with my cable and playing cable in the background. Most options still greyed out on my qn85b.

I think you have to change the picture mode to movie to edit more options

Not sure about that. I have intelligent mode and eye comfort turned off. If you can’t resolve it then I’d be tempted to factory reset the TV, which will put all settings back to default.

I just use what’s in that video. Biggest choice is if you want Movie mode (most accurate), or Standard (some people prefer).
Turn off the intelligent mode. You will see all the available picture mode
Qn95b or QN90b?
Very little to split them. The QN95B has the One Connect box so all the main ports are on that box. May help to keep cables tidy.
I’m confused. My Samsung QN90B 55-inch doesn’t have Movie Mode, Filmmaker Mode or Standard. All it has In Picture Mode is Optimized and EyeComfort…modes.
You must have changed something? Those other modes are standard out of the box. If unsure you could always factory reset you’re TV to see if you can get it back to the default options. But you will lose any custom settings.
U have it on auto mode it should be left of picture mode in the mini settings menu when you change it picture mode will let u choose from dynamic standard. movie. And film maker. I use auto mode when im watching sports it handles everything then disable it for sdr/hdr content
