Nice comparison, thank you. W goes to the Acebeam for me. Olight has not made a compelling case for me to buy a flashlight with a proprietary charger. When you add the switch function, Olight has succeeded in making a simple product complicated for no reason.
I think the efficiency difference may be at least partially due to the high CRI emitters on the Acebeam. It would be interesting to compare the non High CRI E75 to the Olight. Personally I have the E75 and like it very much apart from the four green LEDs which I which could be switched off, at least in moonlight where they may adversely affect you night vision. I don't like the rotary wheel unlock arrangement on the Olight.
OLight reminds me of Bose and Beats in the audio realm. Very good products with excellent marketing, at a price point where you can find equivalent or better products for less money. FYI, starting Sept 19, OLight will be having their big yearly sale, so its the best time to look if you like their products.
Acebeam is the clear winner in my opinion as well. Olight may be extremely high quality, but their proprietary charging system AND BATTERIES has worn out their welcome. Particularly if China moves on Taiwan, those custom batteries will become unavailable, dooming the Olight to become a paperweight when its battery can no longer hold a charge (that may be years away, but I bought a flashlight, not a paperweight).
@@OnusBones a little magnet in the middle if your charger doesn't reach I have all the olight batteries and they all can be charged with a slot charger.
Just a point of fact, the Olight o port provides a convenient option to charge while traveling. No need to bring the proprietary magnetic charging cords. A useful tip is to just attach the o port like a key chain to the light you take traveling so you always have a mag charger. An investment yes... but also convenient in my opinion.
Acebeam had me at NON-proprietary battery !! Sealed the deal with better low modes. Acebeam has been replacing my most EDCed Olights for the last 1-2 yrs now...
Do this same comparison again with the Seeker 4 Pro... besides the CRI, I say there's no contest. Also, saying that there's more high modes on the Seeker... yeah, there's like 20 high modes, the brightness is infinitely adjustable... And serious question: Is the Acebeam still waterproof if somthing happens to the rubber port plug?
@maxlvledc Thanks for confirming that. I say that's another major plus for the Olight. But of course, everything is a compromise. If you want USB-C, sometimes you gotta deal with rubber plugs.
Dear Mr. Maxlvledc. This is out context in regards to this review, but I'm crossing my fingers for a informative response never the less. You've done quite a few AAA /14500 reviews. While 99% of those lights achieve impressive lumens for their size, their always using a 14500 to achieve it. With that said, how come I've never seen the Surefire Titan Plus on your channel (albeit expense? It produces 300 lumen off a single Alkaline AAA. Have you found any single AAA Alkaline lights that can beat that output, or am I just not digging deep enough? I'm trying to find the brightest & simplest AAA Alkaline so I can gift it to someone who doesn't understand complicated modes, etc. Thanks for any insight.
Muy buena comparación, aunque considero que hizo falta la prueba de iluminación real en un entorno oscuro para apreciar intensidades, alcances y rangos de iluminación.
Olight have really arrogant pricing policy. In our country they do not offer the usual 30% discounts which brings their prices to normality without huge profit margins. Their stupid argument is “we don’t have online store’. Good products but their impudent behavior makes customers steer away from Olight. Acebeam all the time.
comparing acebeams best product to one of olights worst... tough... I dont see why you would choose the seeker here. Even in olights lineup there are better lights, especially for the price. I dont know why the seeker has always been so expensive... If you pick the acebeam with the cold white, it will be just as efficient as the olight. the efficiency difference is because its using hcri neutral white emitters, which will always perform worse in terms of brightness

The e75 covers every base for me. I love it. It's perfect.

I would love to know what emitters are used on the seeker 4 i can not believe Noone asked that during the Q&A

Great rundown. Just ordered the E75 from Aliexpress for about $65 and can't wait. Unfortunately shipping time is forever.

Olight batteries can be charged in a slot charger like any other battery.
@@t5king850r Not the ones with both contacts on the front. They even have a rim around the center contact, it appears to prevent them from shorting.

Acebeam for me. I refuse to buy Olights because of their proprietary batteries and chargers.

Does the Acebeam have strobe?
yes

no, if the rubber is gone..no IPX8

Saw this thumbnail and immediately thought, oh, Max is reviewing Lightsabers now. LOL
Oh I soooo would

Yes, the lumintop here:
amzn.to/466ncSK it will give you crazy output
Liking that Acebeam 👍🏽
Maybe actually comparing them in the field would have been helpful.

I'm in on the Olight charging side. Sorry Seeker 3 Pro 🏆
If the Acebeam E75 burns at 150 lumens and you want to step back to 30 lumens, what do you have to do?
The Seeker 4 Pro that just has been released would have been a better comparison.
So far up to button... i like the cheaper & more logical one more
Clear Acebeam W here.

This video is about to be obsolete tomorrow lol (yes I know the comparison is still valid, but you know what I mean)
Good video nonetheless!
That's why I had to get it done..I have the seeker 4...definitely better than the 3
The new Seeker 4 has usb c
