Thank you kind sir for your very specific informative directions. Did not come with any instructions that also greatly appreciated or I would have been blind
Hi All I have spent a little time on this problem and finally twigged that the tiny unmarked X in thick red wire was in fact the most important item, namely the load. This all now makes sense.
you can wire the meter off the same voltage supply, what i am trying to say is you don't need another power supply to run the meter. its very easy to do.
You show a stylized battery with the thick red and the thick going respectively to positive and negative. Unfortunately, the thick red and thick black go straight to the shunt which would soon short the battery out and burn out the shunt. I think you need to revise your diagrams.
Thanks for the info. You got lucky. I bought 4 of them and the current meter jumps around on all of them. Your meter seems stable. The Peacefair PZEM-031 is a better built and more accurate module IMO... Keep up the good work. You make great tutorials!

Can I use a 12Vac output with diodes and capacitor to make a 12 volt source with CI LM7812 to power the lighting of this Module (Deek-Robot Shield Mod.BL-01)? Note that this derivation is from the same transformer that I made the variable source from 0V to 50V!
Robojax, I can hear and understand you perfectly. I had to turn the volume up 5% compared to the previous video I was watching. I am watching this on a television in a noisy room. Hello from Australia!
I come to the conclusion these devices are extremely sensitive to ripple in the voltage, it just start to jump around in the shown values very easily, If the voltage and current is clean they show fine. otherwise they are pretty nice. I think the issue is that they have too high refresh rate

Can I use this measuring device on my car? Supply voltage is described with DC 7-12V. But if the car's engine is running, there are 13.7 to 14.7Volts, can i use this wile driving?
@@robojax there was a cloud of smoke. I think I didn't understand the instructions correctly (as shown here) When I put it like the one in the pictures, there was a spark, there was smoke and my solar system was done. now i have bought a new solar cell, but the pain runs deep - these things are expensive. In the circuit diagram of banggood, the 2 cables are brought together, the ampere test lead and the volt test lead. But when I closed it together, my solar panel burned out and the fuse on my expensive victron charge controller. So iam lucky now that i dont need a new 100€controller.
I have the BL-02. What is the supply voltage/current needed to power the device? Can the device be connected to a 12v car battery and measure the voltage/current of the battery?
this device can be connected to Car battery to measure the voltage. It can measure only 10A max. When you start the car, it uses about 400A or more if larger car. So this can't measure it. Of course if you connect a device that uses 10A or less, it can measure it in car too. What is B02? I did not find it
@@robojax The BL-02 is the same Ampere Power Meter you used in the review. If you look on the back of the circuit board you'll see 'BL-02'. That is the model. I have a device that draws 12v @350 mAh from a car battery. When the car battery is fully charged, I want to use my BL-02 to monitor the Voltage and power consumption for a month or longer, until the battery is flat. Can the Meter be connected directly to the battery or does it need a small load in place?
Thank you for telling me the model. I will have to look at it. My answer is the same as above with addition, to measure Power, you need to measure the current.
I have read that the device itself uses under 15mA. The voltage is apparently 7-12V, but I would say that it can go at least up to 15V (it would have to go that high to work with a car battery). UPDATE: I have checked mine and the supply current is 10mA. The specs say 7-12V supply, elsewhere I've seen warnings about not going over 13V, but it ran fine for a month or two (until I replaced it with a better power meter; it didn't fail) on my battery which often got to 13.5V and very rarely up to around 14.4V.
The connection of the DC 0-50V (input or output source?) as shown in the diagram is not correct since these two terminals which is connected with the red and black wires from this source is shorted together with the wire shunt and cause short circuit to this DC 0-50V unless the black cross in the circle is to indicate the red wire is not used, if so then it should not be in the diagram in the first place.
Apologize for my above comment on the diagram that I've got the image from the net. The info in your video does now make everything clear up now. Thanks for your good work.

The white wire should be connected to the load side +...not the supply side +
make sure to follow what I have shown. I have already burned ONE of these.
Power (watt) indication is wrong !

The device has refresh rate. It doesn't refresh quickly. It takes a little time. Also 5% error is normal.
