  • Converting my old R12 AC system into the cheaper Mazda RX-8 system.
The Phoenix Valley is terribly hot in the summer. Although it's possible to survive without AC in your car, I've grown accustomed to having comforts like AC, Bluetooth, navigation, and cruise control in my 1993 Mazda RX-7. Unfortunately, my RX-7 was built using R12 refrigerant, and when my AC compressor died, I discovered that a new compressor would be $500 or more... and that's IF I could find one!
Thankfully, JP3 Motorsports makes a kit that allows you to use the cheaper and more accessible Mazda RX-8 AC components in the FD body RX-7.
In this series of videos, I take you on a tour of how to perform this swap and the end results.
