What I liked about the video was the fact that he expressed security in doing things the way of his own uniqueness, and to enjoy that sense of liberty. Also, it was encouraging to catch him saying that he was “always learning” and studying ... (isn’t that what we underlings do?) 😊
Love his words of wisdom if you
get paid a dollar or a million do the best you can.
You had me at tool
Excellent interview 😊
The 'not wanting to be like anyone else" aspect, plus knowing your gear (outboard or no) is why he's so revered and sought-after ...my best take-away, anyway.. cheers..
Joe and Waves, thank you for the video!!! :)
4:13 - 4:20 Compression build up. So true!
Joe's from Staten Island just like me! He's a hero

I went to his MWTM in France! Amazing experience. Very knowledgeable humble dude!
How much would it cost me (musician) to have an EP sized steak cooked medium rare!? TIA
Wow!! did you ever record RATT at your studio ?
The RAT is checking in for an audition at 2:54
The guy knows his sht
I AM THE ONLY ONE SEEING THE HUGE RAT RUNNING ON THE SHELF (above his head) AT 2:54 !!!!!!!!

man how did you get that?
its actually a guy walking behind the rack gear.
yea hes right, that is actually a person lol
linkin park?
For someone that makes sound products for a living, the voice is incredibly annoying to listen to. There's this odd gritty high frequency noise to it.
Blame the interviewers...funny, I don't find it annoying at all...ya must be easily annoyed... Why not just grasp all the great info and insight the dude has instead of finding something to be annoyed with? ..just a suggestion..
That was awsome.
