The theory that as you grow older time passes faster. Not so! I've talked to young kids who feel time is passing quickly. These young people age seven yrs to 20 yrs. of age all have the sensation that time is flying by. This is not only for the older folks! I haven't figured out why this is happening but it is. A year is as if a month, week as if it were a day. Someone out there do you see it the same way?
The worst part is realizing how much time has passed and realizing how little you've done. Suddenly, four years go by and things that were new are suddenly over and I haven't changed my life at all in those four years. What am I even doing?
i feel like this is a regular thing for people in their early 20s. teen years are over and now you feel like you need to stop fucking around and do something with your life
@@Brandon999LFC I'm not even in my teens and I feel like this. I need someone to make sure I get the best out of life as possible bc I feel like when I'm older from just gonna waste it
Witty Name I thought it was just me. Whenever I brought this up, people would say “it’s just part of growing up”. But I still felt in my guts that something was up. Time has been speeding up since 2015 for me. I believe it is because we are in our last days. This phenomenon also a Biblical prophecy being fulfilled.
@Cult of Personality Idiot its your phone that your looking on why are you so stupid...Alright do this go sit on the bench for 2 hours without no digital screen and let's see if time goes fast
Here is a list of potential reasons why: -As a kid everything is new, as an adult you get used to it. -As a kid you know less so there is less to think and dwell about and you are more in the moment. -the more you are on social media the more information is being blasted in your face and it can over whelm you and make you dwell on things. -not being in the moment makes things feel like a blur and you have less control. -If you have less control and go with the flow youll feel like you have less time to do stuff you actually want to do. -you may have goals but keep pushing them back because you have less control and before you know it its been a year and you barely started. -society is pressuring you into going with the flow and not doing what you want (but they convince you its what you want when its not) and again you push back things you actually want to do. -in your mind you say "let me just finish collage/university first and get it out of the way then I can start doing what I want" -when you live for others everything feels like a blur. -you think there is a perfect time to start doing something so you push it back. (now is the perfect time to start) -children's minds are free but the older they get the more society programs them.
@@ooduckooHumans only live up to 80yrs old if you lucky. That’s nothing compared to how old the earth is which is 4.5 billion years old. We just tourists on this rock placed here for God knows what 🤷🏽♂️
I feel like our brains are so awake due to the technology surrounding us and the more technology we consume the faster everything feels. If we break from technology life feels more appreciated and I think that's the only hack to get back in the now. Technology does so much to our minds. It makes us think of hundreds of things at a time when we used to only manage one thing at a time. I genuinely think the less you're on social media platforms the better. But we all contradict ourselves on this as its such a catch 22 thing. Anyways love to anyone reading this
Exactly what I think. Our hand held devices are a double edged sword. When we stare at a screen all day, we lose track of time and 10 minutes turns in into 30, and 30 into an hour and so on.
I've just turned 20 and I feel the same way. I'm just not satisfied the point I'm at and whenever I look back on the last 4 years since i left high school i feel like all the time was wasted and I could've been building towards something. One thing that really helped me recently was writing all the shit I want to get done this month and sharing it with my close friends so I feel like an idiot at the end of the month if i don't tick off everything from the list. I hope I can find my stride in getting everything I want done but even though I feel this way it's rare to get myself out of a narcissistic mood in-which i get nothing done.
SamTheMan Hey Sam, thank you for reminding me I left this comment. I feel much happier currently and I’ve come a long way since last year. However it did get worse before it got better, the narcissistic attitude I had was a result of me being brutally honest with myself but I wasn’t analysing myself fairly and saw my regrets and uncontrollable events I blamed myself for as paramount compared to the good qualities I have. I didnt have family around me and my skewed state of mind just spiralled into lot of drug use and not caring if I was alive or dead but as of December 5th I’ve been completely sober. Recently after that I found a new job which I like, I’ve been recording music and I feel much happier. I also want to add that I was wrong about ‘sharing my to-do list with close friends’ method. Self discipline shouldn’t be fuelled by approval from other people, build an internal system of self respect and you’ll have much more control over your happiness. This is my first social media post/comment in a year lol. Thanks for reading my long rambling reply Sam, how are you doing mate?
@@zakreynolds2785 Wow. That's great news that you're getting your life back on track, I hope you can stay in that positive mental state. Yesterday I typed into RUclips "time is going too fast" and this was the top result. It's comforting to see that I'm not the only one with this issue. For the past month and a bit I have been off work and school, due to many reasons, and I think the lack of productivity in my life is what is causing me to feel so terrible. I feel like I can't spend my time doing one thing because it's not worth it, but then I just spend my time doing nothing in the end so it's pointless. I have this thought everyday whenever I do anything with my time, whether it's playing games, watching movies, or thinking about messaging that one friend but never doing it. So yeh in short, I'm not doing to well. But I will never give up hope in trying to be better.
@@samtheman7860 Hey Sam, sorry for the slow reply. Feeling like time is slipping away from me is plagues me as well - during these times more than ever. I don’t really have a solution or any advice for conquering this way of thinking but I think once we figure it out we’ll be better for it. Some people are quite happy bumbling along and ‘wasted time’ doesn’t concern them but it hits them all at once much later in life. If we’re able to reel it back a bit and be both be conscious of our time but not overwhelmed by a feeling of being wasteful then I reckon good things lie ahead. I hope you’re doing well and I hope we figure it out
I don't believe this is age related (like everyone claims) my 6 years old cousin noticed it and my grandpa too lol. And I've heared a lot of random people comment on this as well. It feels as if time is being sucked or accelerated towards some point in the future. No idea when this started but I have noticed it in 2016.
It’s really 2017-2018 where it kicked off. 2015 and 2016 were eh somewhat faster than 2014. But 2017 and 2018 were noticeably getting faster but 2017 wasn’t too fast fast. But nigga 2019 is going so crazy fast holy shit. 2019 is on a whole new level of fast.
I Remember The Nineties and the 2000's slow and normal. After my graduation and 2012, everything Started To speed up. Especially the late 2010's. I barely remember 2019. It was short. As it was already the big summer and Christmas. We people just move on with our daily lives. Something has changed into the universe. But the rest moves at normal speed.
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Hour will not be established until time passes rapidly, such that a year is like a month, a month is like a week, a week is like a day, a day is like an hour, and an hour is like the flicker of a flame.” Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2332 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani
It’s gives me so much anxiety when I think about how fast the days are going by, my last good year was 2017, last year and this year have just been like nothing to me, I wish I could have a week feel like a week not a day, it saddens me so. It feels as though time is running out for us all I believe everyone is experiencing it, are we near the end 😢?
I relate so much. It felt like yesterday when I watched a video on December 31st 2018 talking about how you need to do what you want to in life and to make 2019 your best year and I was going to commit myself to it but now we are already in the 4th month of 2020 and I realize that I pretty much wasted 2019 and it felt like it went by in a flash. The worst part about this is I WANT to change my life for the better and to slow my perception of time to enjoy my life but I know I will wake up in the morning and go back to the same old routine. No matter how many times I tell myself that I am going to fix my perception of time and put my life back on track I always fail. I hate it so much.
this is so true... Im 20 and Im frustrated because I have to literaly run and try to do everyting fast in order to achieve at least something along the day...
@Rafael no body died for our sin, please don't do any sin and think hereafter . and if you have a time make some research about islam , believe me you wont regret.
I remember watching this in 2018 again time just keeps on getting faster and faster now its already the last day of 2020 and 2021 will be much faster than 2020.

Yes I think we all reach a point where we realize this. I'm already 24, you ain't seen nothing yet. It'll always go faster year after year. Everything's accelerating, we have access to everything at any time we want. Even when we grow up we're taught that time is money and to not waste time. I know it's cheesy but it's really important to take some time out and live in the moment. For too long, I've let my life pass by in front of me and before I know it, I'll be 30 with even more regrets. Really liking those serious vids btw.
My friends and I have been talking about time and getting older for the last 2 days at lunch and I'm only a freshman in high school and it's surreal to think that middle school and elementary school are gone. Forever. Like I'll never get back to those days and soon enough high school, and college, and everything will be gone. One day I'll get married and have kids and have my own house and watch my kids grow up and experience the same things I did and it's really scary. I decided to look for things like this on RUclips and this is the best video I've found about time mostly because I feel the same exact way as you do. Thank you for posting this. Thank you for letting me know I'm not the only one who's scared. I really really appreciate it.
I’m only 15 and I’ve been feeling time has gone by a lot faster. Seems like graduation is coming up, marriage, kids, old, death. It’s a lot faster than expected. My friends also felt like this school term gone by a lot faster than before. I wish I had slow-mo button on real life time
My son is 30 now. He's been saying this since he was 15. It was almost like there just wasn't enough time to live his life. Just, no time. The only real suggestion I have is, stay off the computer. The internet. Time goes by even faster when you watch videos or play video games. It won't cure it, but it will help.

One of the signs of the Hour is that time will pass more quickly hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari (1036) from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Hour will not begin until knowledge is taken away, earthquakes increase, time passes quickly, tribulations appear, and there is a lot of haraj, which is killing, killing, and until there will be a lot of wealth among you and it will become abundant.” And Ahmad narrated (10560) that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Hour will not begin until time passes quickly, so a year will be like a month, and a month will be like a week, and a week will be like a day, and a day will be like an hour, and an hour will be like the burning of a braid of palm leaves.” So brothers and sister do good things so that your time will be good at you.

The human race has suffered endlessly throughout history but God does nothing to stop it.
@@leun6768 why we think that it's a suffer maybe it's a sign that god wants us to focus and wake up .god always says in the quran the second life is the real life not this one but we focus on this life so god is protecting us by giving us signs for own good
and i want to tell you this sign is nothing next to others prophet muhamed said that in the last days to have a pet baby dog is better than having a child so it's better not to have children in these days me personally i won't have one
i think its all about media consumption. because of social media and technology, we're receiving so much information all at once and processing it all too fast. I've noticed when i just wind down, and take time to process and focus on my surroundings and information being given, time seems to go slower.
not really. time feels very slow for me back in 2020 even though i spent 80% of it being online. it was only till 2023 when i began to feel the time speeding up. just my personal experience tho
thanks for this video it proves since your 21 years old. that just when your older time goes faster, which is not true, time is tooo fast even for the younger generation, time has changed and is not the same as before.
-The more you worry, these negative experiences will be flushed out by the passage of time, leading to time speeding up or even time gaps -having too much on your plate(too many goals),leaves you being unable to appreciate the present moment, you experience a dissonance hence feels like time passes very fast, information overload by technology also causes this As a child i felt that time passed slower as i didnt havy many aspirations and just enjoyed what i was currently doing, i guess we achieve more in adulthood but it is sad to see how out of tune with the present we are getting and how we feel less happy than before, definitely try to find time to unwind, no gadgets, meditation.i guess i want to stay more grounded because when i have too many aspirations, it is as if the present is too meaningless and i want to achieve my goals quicker, thats why being in the present , remaining clearminded and not having too much on your plate is key to feeling time(although i would add that if you keep a 'daily highlights'of thr goals you have achieved everyday and store it somewhere, it will somewhat convince you that you are meaningfully using time and provides a good reminder of your milestones , hope this helps
I totally hear you brother and you're right about five years ago time changed..... Some things happened and I'm not even going to go into it. But time did change during that time and now it is going quicker.... This is mercy just so you know. It is now time for everyone to drop the act and pick up the reality and the truth of Everything. This world Is quickly coming to an end as prophesied in the bible. Ten years ago I probably couldn't have said that because all of the signs that we've been given were not there.... But they are all present now and in the times of the end God says that time will speed up and quicken..... It is merciful but what it also means is you need to get your heart right with God? Time may not change if you do that, But your perspective on how you spend those moments will. You will know you're saved and you will live In those smaller moments with more peace and joy than you did before. Tishuva, Repent and turn away from your wicked ways and into righteousness.... That's what the word says that's what we need to do and it's as simple as that and I mean that as simple as that..... Make Your heart's right with God's because he's coming back..... quickly...... can't you feel it??????
when I was a kid, a minute feel like a hour and i hate it because i want to grow fast but now i realise that being a kid is the best time ever. what the f i think about. getting old suck.
I'm 28 I've started noticing more the last few months how quick its going. This year has gone so quick. A year seems like a few weeks now. Its mental. A day is like nothing lately. I get up early in the morning and before I know it im back in bed its crazy.
Same. I think it’s our perception of how much time is left. When I started middle school, I felt like there was so many new experiences, and school was so long. In seventh, I was excited to go to eighth grade and still thought school was a bore and very long. When I began eighth grade, it felt pretty much the same; still excited to be an eighth grader and *eventually* go to high school. But it came quicker than I thought. After that New Years time began to blur together. My count of the days till my graduation kept getting quicker and quicker and not stopping, until I graduated.
I feel like time tends to go by faster when you're in autopilot, if you're more focused, getting better sleep, and learning new things, you can definitely slow time down more. The issue isnt really that time is speeding up, it's that theres nothing significant your brain is trying to remember.
I feel the exact same. I am only 17 years old. 2020 has changed rapidly for me. In the last 4 months, time has sped up like crazy for me. I am confused, I've tried talking to a therapist, and I am beginning to think it is something other than fear. I am not sure what it is. It could be absolutely nothing for all I know, but It is a really scary time in my life right now. I am actually beginning to have health problems, either do to anxiety or whatever this nonsense is. Minutes feel like 30 seconds, days feel like half days and weeks feel like half weeks. I am so confused. Who else feels the same?
Bro I just turned 20 and I’m gutted the year 2016 went so extremely slow but 2017 just gone like that from 17 to 20 felt like nothing I am so glad there are other people noticing it but we actually are extremely late considering if everyone noticed it back in 2017 or 2018 we could be more serous and prepared but noticing it around these times is a complete waste I hate it so much what’s the point of even living now
@TechMasterJason your psychiatrist won’t be able to explain shit. If they’re honest they’ll agree with you but if they say it’s age related then they’re just in denial that something beyond their studies is happening
4 years ago, time was normal, people werent always busy and getting late for something. People werent always in a rush. But now, everything is so dynamic and time is legit going insane. @@k3nz1e73 i literally mean you have to give effort and dig into things and faith will come naturally. Jama Nuh stfu you didn’t notice anything happening in 2015 and none of these other bull shitters did either. Y’all just looking for something to have in common because you’re lonely irl and seeking some sort of attention online.
God is trying to tell us something. Stop listening to man and just find out what God wants. He definitely wants a relationship with all of us but he has a bigger purpose for us all. Find out what he wants. Ask him. We have neglected our creator for so long. Generation after generation and there are books and documents recording all of this and people still dont understand. Seek and you shall find. Ask the creator and dont be deceived by the fallen one. We all have value and God wants us to come to know what that value is. I love you all!!!
I’m high right now and it’s made me think about how fast time is going by, I thought it would take me forever to graduate 8th grade but I graduated in a blink of an eye and now I’m halfway through high school, college in 2 years, shits crazy
Ive noticed the time speed up. Its end times prophecy from the bible. In the end the days shall be shortened. 24 hours isnt what it used to be. When i was young (early 90s) we were taught to count seconds "one one thousand two one thousand". I remember how i used to count, and today that counting doesnt work anymore, time is too fast. God bless you. Jesus is the truth.
I'm 45 now, but I remember when it was the 2000 millennial celebrations and it feels like yesterday. Im hoping your generation will find a cure for ageing
My mother told me for time to go slow I have to slow down. I mean, as we're growing older we tend to have more stuff we HAVE TO do and we're constantly in a hurry and we're thinking about time more than what we have to do. You probably heard about "mindfulness" and being present in every moment and I guess that helps? I've had a problem with time when I was 16/17 and then as I turned 18 and 19 it got a bit better because I was trying to do things slower and enjoy every second of my life. The fear comes back from time to time but I'm trying to chase it away.
Months going by like weeks, weeks going by like days, days going by like hours, hours going by like minutes, minutes going by like seconds, Everything seems like a blur…
I feel this way sometimes. When I do, I do my best to remember that all we get is -NOW-. And if I continue to remember this, and try to be a good person, do my best right -NOW-, that is comforting in the fact if I remember 5 years ago, I remember that I was then, too, doing my best in the -NOW- which is now -then-. Easier said than done, my dude....be grateful that we are alive, we can read, we have RUclips to connect with others. I have so much to be grateful for!!

Yeah this started a few months ago for me. I’m scared or sad because time just goes by. Like I watch a movie then afterwards I go that was so easy to sit through. I used to sit through 2 hour movies like it was 2 days never ended. Maybe if we have purpose and do something everyday all the time. Maybe do the same thing every week. Because when we die we either go into a sleep and have no memory or anything and sleep is eternal so we won’t know we are dead or even if we existed or it’ll be like before we were born.
It’s because we are living in the end of times . Someone out there do you see it the same way?
but think about it: you always get older. even seven year olds get older. with every year, every birthday, time goes by faster, no matter your age.
Yeah I’m 11 and time used to go slow in elementary. Middle school is getting fast
Yes
I'm 14 ... time is flying by like a bird!
Agreed I'm 11 and honestly, time goes way to fast like we in a new decade already?
The worst part is realizing how much time has passed and realizing how little you've done. Suddenly, four years go by and things that were new are suddenly over and I haven't changed my life at all in those four years. What am I even doing?

i think about this too. seems like heaven compared to nowadays. but we are alive at this time for a reason.
i feel you. its as though god has programmed us to percieve time as going faster and faster or something.
Me too
Wait my father told me that
I think that its only me too
@Cult of Personality Idiot its your phone that your looking on why are you so stupid...Alright do this go sit on the bench for 2 hours without no digital screen and let's see if time goes fast
I come back here every year and still, nothing has changed. It’s all going fast
Here is a list of potential reasons why:
-As a kid everything is new, as an adult you get used to it.
-in your mind you say "let me just finish collage/university first and get it out of the way then I can start doing what I want"
-when you live for others everything feels like a blur.
-you think there is a perfect time to start doing something so you push it back. (now is the perfect time to start)
-children's minds are free but the older they get the more society programs them.
Same I've been feeling like time has been speeding since last year. It's crazy how this year is almost over.

So are you doing better?
Joeann Year It started happening for me in 2015
It’s really 2017-2018 where it kicked off. 2015 and 2016 were eh somewhat faster than 2014. But 2017 and 2018 were noticeably getting faster but 2017 wasn’t too fast fast. But nigga 2019 is going so crazy fast holy shit. 2019 is on a whole new level of fast.

Something has changed into the universe. But the rest moves at normal speed.

It feels as though time is running out for us all I believe everyone is experiencing it, are we near the end 😢?

I relate so much. The worst part about this is I WANT to change my life for the better and to slow my perception of time to enjoy my life but I know I will wake up in the morning and go back to the same old routine. No matter how many times I tell myself that I am going to fix my perception of time and put my life back on track I always fail. I hate it so much.

As a child i felt that time passed slower as i didnt havy many aspirations and just enjoyed what i was currently doing, i guess we achieve more in adulthood but it is sad to see how out of tune with the present we are getting and how we feel less happy than before, definitely try to find time to unwind, no gadgets, meditation.i guess i want to stay more grounded because when i have too many aspirations, it is as if the present is too meaningless and i want to achieve my goals quicker, thats why being in the present , remaining clearminded and not having too much on your plate is key to feeling time(although i would add that if you keep a 'daily highlights'of thr goals you have achieved everyday and store it somewhere, it will somewhat convince you that you are meaningfully using time and provides a good reminder of your milestones , hope this helps
Ever since 2016, it felt so quick

I'm 28 I've started noticing more the last few months how quick its going. This year has gone so quick. A year seems like a few weeks now. Its mental. A day is like nothing lately. I get up early in the morning and before I know it im back in bed its crazy.
Bro 2023 doesn't even feel real. Like wtf happened this year. It's just passed with one blink

Texas Talk it’s the end of days the Bible speaks of. The world is changing everyday second of our lives

I had a dream just yesterday about this that had me wake up crying. Just thinking of how much faster my death is coming and how my older family members will be gone in no time. It's like everything was fine but any moment now I'll blink and they'll be gone while my own body breaks down and gets ready to follow them into nothingness. It feels so wrong.

2016 for me tbh

God is trying to tell us something. Stop listening to man and just find out what God wants. He definitely wants a relationship with all of us but he has a bigger purpose for us all. Find out what he wants. Ask him. We have neglected our creator for so long. Generation after generation and there are books and documents recording all of this and people still dont understand. Seek and you shall find. Ask the creator and dont be deceived by the fallen one. We all have value and God wants us to come to know what that value is. I love you all!!!

@TechMasterJason Simple, the tech we use today burns a lot of our time.
@TechMasterJason my time in 2004-2008 felt like 20 years, now from then to 2021 it felt like 6 years tops
@TechMasterJason how do you know that for a fact just asking?

3 years have passed within a second by now!
Thanks, this is helpful
Did we all quantum jump? What is going on?
time seems to go slower when your fasting
As a Muslim fasting rn I agree
Months going by like weeks, weeks going by like days, days going by like hours, hours going by like minutes, minutes going by like seconds, Everything seems like a blur…
I feel this way sometimes. When I do, I do my best to remember that all we get is -NOW-. And if I continue to remember this, and try to be a good person, do my best right -NOW-, that is comforting in the fact if I remember 5 years ago, I remember that I was then, too, doing my best in the -NOW- which is now -then-.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD SAID 1440+ YEARS AGO “The Hour will not begin until time passes quickly, so a year will be like a month, and a month will be like a week, and a week will be like a day, and a day will be like an hour, and an hour will be like the burning of a braid of palm leaves.” Musnad Ahmad 10560 .
