All those episodes, plus the extra watching when I was missing the show. (I got DEEP into this show! Books, too!) I tried to count up how many eps I watched, but I got lost. But, in season 1, I counted approximately 45-55 times watching season 1. Yeah, it's a lot, but that was over the 8 seasons, & between them. IDK why I'm making a book about my obsession online, but here I am...And now I go. Lol. Oh, btw, in S8, I only watched that 3 times. 🤔 🤘🤪

It was the greatest castle in Westeros when Aegon Targaryen set foot on the continent and Harren the Black refused to bend the knee and shut inside the fortress for a long siege. There was no siege. Aegon rode his huge dragon, Balerion, and the its fire was so powerful it melted the castle with everyone inside, cooked alive. What we see here are whats left of it, just a shell of its former glory.

When the Targaryen left Valyria before the doom, they reached an island east of Westeros which they called Dragonstone, there they erected a castle, which was their home for several generations until Aegon conquered the 7 kingdoms, since then the castle passed to be the home of the heir to the iron throne. When Robert overthrew the mad king, queen Rhaella fled with her son Viserys to Dragonstone, there, in the middle of a great storm, she gave birth to Daenerys, unfortunately Rhaella dies in childbirth. Viserys and Daenerys were brought to Essos by some still loyal to the Targaryen house to protect them. The castle was later assigned to Stannis by decree of Robert I Baratheon.

They are always changing, evolving and sometimes falling back to their old ways. So, sometimes you may hate a character. Sometimes you will love them. Most characters are also a shade of gray. I don’t know if they wanted it to be less clear until the one line by Brienne later reveals the shadow was a shadow version of Stannis. But to me I think they should have made it very clear that that was a gross shadowy evil version of Stannis by having the actor’s face much more clear.
Brotherhood Without Banners arose from the soldiers that Ned Stark sent to the Riverlands region but with the war and his death they became an authority to follow. They are a parallel to Robin Hood and Merrie Men
