A couple of not too common groups of books that were fun to track down were, the first series of Simpsons Illustrated with the photo covers, and some really cool limited German variants of Treehouse of Horrors. I also found the allusive mini Butterfingers variant of Simpsons Comics and Stories 1.
    What fun 😁!

Wow, nice to see someone with an even more comprehensive Simpsons collection than my collection!
For some reason I had a lot of trouble finding issue #146 and Summer Shindig #5, but that seems to add to the fun of collecting. I've since aquired those two issues. My collection of Simpsons comics fisseled out at around #220, and my Futurama comics around #60.
Great video, and related videos! Thanks for sharing 😊!

My pleasure. I love these comics but I've now started offloading these and my Simpsons collection. Focusing on different things nowadays! Great fun series to collect though.

I didn't even know there was a Simpsons comic till I saw them on your channel. Good stuff Jules. Bet you hate to sell them in a way.
Can't collect it all can we ? Take care my friend.

Your right Alvin, a great comic but sales suffered towards the end of its run. I have to start clearing my Simpsons stuff, I just can't keep it all🙂

I love these Bongo comics unboxing videos. I was able to pick up a #245 for cover price at Simpsons store at Universal Studios a couple of years ago. In fact they were selling a bunch of different issues and I picked up all I could find. I really love the covers and stock of the last issues of Bongo. Such a shame Bongo shut down. I'm madly trying to pick up as many issues as I can now all online because comic shops are usually sold out long ago. Bongo is such an underappreciated comic brand. Much better than the actual tv show over the last couple decades! Btw, I hate to be that guy (not really) but Matt Groening's last name is pronounced GRAIN-ING. Take care!

Yep, it's shame that Bongo closed up shop but it's partly down to the comic book industry shrinking in general anyway. I would indeed suggest grabbing these when you see then as the last few issues had tiny print runs.

Thanks Sylvan, I think they did more parody covers in the first 100 issues. These are still great though🙂
