I can actually add something to this video regarding the Stephen hawking Simpsons toy. Although some didn’t like it he actually did. I used to be part of Stephen Hawkins care staff and spent time at his home and he had his figure displayed in his library.

ChumLee is a genius he pretends to act dumb but he figured out how to market his chumlee character not just the shop and show and his side businesses have outlasted ricks side businesses.
Even the asking price of 2000$ would mean eacht of the 135 boxes would sel for only 14.81$ and that is for my opinion low. I would have at oeast expected the appraisal to be around 4k
Thats not untrue i worked at a store that sold some(i ended up with all of them) they all had that box structure brand new 20 for the figured 40 for the bigger ones so someone could do the math easily and make an estimate frankly 2000 is what i could see the pawn shop getting for them and thats retail now if he had season 1 released toys then it would be a diffrent story also that collection isnt even that big

I pawned off my gaming laptop last year for 200 so I could get a plane ticket to my mom's funeral. So yea never sell to pawn shops unless it's like a last minute emergency resort

That is one of the best deals you could get. I would of payed probably $4,000 for all of that. Amazing condition as well, genuinely ridiculous it sold for $1,000.

One example is that power plant break room playset that features Frank Grimes, which I did see he has here, that set alone could go for about 200. you can make or break a few bucks depending on the product you are collecting. I bought a BD of Serial Experiments Lain, A collectors edition for like 120 or something like that, a few month later after they sold through it was on ebay for 300, still to this day, that same limited edition is going for more then i payed for it, used. most of my other anime... i would probably say that it's not worth what i paid for it at this point in time, unless it was one of the couple i bought off Sentai when they were having a massive sale.

I've gone off the Simpsons recently but it is amazing how long they've been on the telly. 35 years ago they appeared on Tracy Ullman show. Then 1990 Simpsons didn't look back. It is still a massive massive hit.

Because it was mass produced during a time when there were already a lot of collectors of The Simpsons memorabilia therefore demand for those specific ones are probably not very high however the amount of them out there available for sale is probably higher

It is a lot of work to sell the collection piecemeal. I would sell the whole collection for $2k plus shipping and tax and wash my hands of it.

"There are a lot of simpsons fans and it's easy to sell them stuff" , yet an old vintage lot of expensive pieces lost 65% of it's value? If it's not available in stores anymore, how does that one environment go from 200 to 65??
Because it was mass produced during a time when there were already a lot of collectors of The Simpsons memorabilia therefore demand for those specific ones are probably not very high however the amount of them out there available for sale is probably higher
