Great choice, Anna. "Wallflower" has a beauty and artistry to it that fits your channel. I am curious what you'd have to say about one of Jinjer's heavier, crazier songs like "Home Back". I've been listening to prog rock and metal for the last several years but understanding things like time signatures and polyrhythms is still hard for me, since I have no true musical training. Also, that particular song is somewhat relevant to what's happening in the world right now. Also, I have to say you are so precise! Not just with your analysis, but the actual vocal examples you pull from memory to demonstrate what you mean, like the Lady Gaga one. And you even skip to different parts of the video with such accuracy. Impressive in every way!
I have tons of Jinjer- songs in my list, but this is the first time someone is suggesting "Home Back"! I loved the deeper message in this song as well. Thank you very much for your kind words Tyler. ^^ It warms my heart to know you appreciate my way of constructing these reaction videos! xx

Love your reactions of Jinjer. You do good work pointing out the finer details of Tatis’ voice. I think you would really enjoy listening to her sing “I Speak Astronomy” (OMV). It’s a little older with less growls with more clean vocals in that song and a surprise at the end. Have fun with whatever song you choose to do next.
The sign on the floor is the sign of Pisces. The two wolves also represent the duality (again). Basically it's a reference to their hit song 'Pisces' and it takes it even further. Loving it! it speaks volumes!!!
They are so versatile that you never know what mix of stiles you will get from song to song. As proof of this I would recommend "Teacher Teacher", "Home Back" and " Tatiana's 1 take vocal performance of "Judgement and Punishment".
I agree Anna, how dare Eugene distract your analysis with his gorgeous looks. I can picture him blushing but also humbling loving that a certain Finnish vocal coach sung about what she thinks of him on You tube! Good on ya girl!

@@annavaskelainenthis is one of the things I like so much about your videos. Finnish is a beautiful language. Your voice is beautifully melodious. The subtitles help so much. And the outlandish Finnish words are very fun to apply to the English translation. Delightful!

I already left a comment, but forgot to mention how much I Love your reaction and analysis. Please do Teacher Teacher but also want to mention a great live performance (Perennial live at Wacken ) as I really think you will like it. It incredible Tatiana has amazing transitions between both very beautiful clean vocals and grawls. One of the best parts in that video is her dynamic and captivating stage presents. Her movements flow with the song as she communicates it to the audience. Also check out Judgement and Punishment Tatiana one take vocal performance. It's a great video and you see more of her personality and other musical influences that might surprise you. Its recorded in studio all in one take.
Have you heard the Finnish band IKINÄ? They sing only in Finnish. The band features two beautiful badass female singer/screamers in Tuuli and Katariina. They each have unique phrasings for both clean and harsh vocals, and they harmonize with both. They are currently touring in Finland.
Your enthusiasm is infectious. If I could recommend a band, a Norwegian band by the name of Leprous should definitely be checked out! Einar blows my mind with his voice, the whole catalogue is incredible, but I'd recommend Slave Live at Rockefeller Hall, Castaway Angels, Nighttime Disguise, Below, Alleviate... I tried to slim down the choices, but yeah! Good stuff all round!
lol love and appreciate the actual music analysis which is rare in the oversaturated reaction channels lane ......."Jinjer - Perennial (live at wacken 2019)", "Jinjer - Judgement and punishment (one take vocal)" and "Jinjer - Pit of Conciousness (live in kiev)", are good options to do next lol.
Great analysis, thanks for sharing so much juicy insight. Tati's idols are Gwen Stefani and Ami Winehouse, and it's fairly apparent in her clean delivery how the former especially has influenced her style. Nuggets as far as the song itself.. Tati is extremely introverted, hence the inspiration for this song. The red box signifies her lyrics. She always writes these after the rest of the guys have written the music and has a tendency to procrastinate, leaving the guys to constantly badger her to share them. Oh and I think Eugene is separated now, so you can cling on to that hope !!!
Love Jinjer, and nice to see an analysis from you again on them....but I can't decide, if I find you more attractive and interesting talking in english or "finnish" 😄 you're pretty even without makeup.
6:13 - In case you didn't notice, that there is the Pisces' symbol. 🙂 The most amazing thing about Tatiana's is that if she watches your video she'll go: "I did what?". She does all the things you pointed out because they sound good to her and not because she consciously knows that this or that technique goes well in this or that part.
Composer of this song is Eugen (it's only one his song in this album). It's whole song around the base line. Base line here ruclips.net/video/mlmSjbfeZIk/видео.html
I would love to hear your reaction to Teacher Teacher. I think it's one of their best songs that showcase her singing ability. Plus it's just a great song
Great analysis Anna of a complex constantly changing intense piece of Jinjer. I think this might be one be of you're best. Red,Black White and yellow tend to be warning colours in nature ... Different colour combinations have different meanings depending on the culture using them .. A quarantien flag on a boat is even today a yellow pennant .. The Navajo have a complex colour language used in their sand paintings ... Looking similar to early space invaders graphics. Where colours are linked to directions and characters like mountains. 🤔 Red and black and Red and white, one symbolises illness of the body and the other of the mind... If you think thats complex try victorian flower 💐 language etiquette..😉 you'll never see a bunch of flowers in the same way again😂👍🏼😎🎶
@@annavaskelainen The victorians were so screwed up they had to invent Freudian analysis's ...and by the time he got his problems projected on everyone they needed Boaz and Jung to sort out the mess. 🤣🧙♂️ .... Mythology and arcitypes.... the early storytellers trying to make sense of their lives. Remember even Black and white swap roles in some cultures so a bride would never traditionally wear white, the colour of death and mourning in certain SE Asian cultures.. I think Korea is one?🤔
Intoverts unite! ..separately! ..in our own homes! 🔥I love Wallflower! I love the beautiful way it starts, and I know I'd still love it if was all clean singing, but I'll admit I was hoping for a turn, unsure if it would come the first time I heard it, knew it probably would, and loved when it did! Wallflower hits me hard as a depressed introvert (always antisocial, always antifascist!), but more generally, Jinjer helps me vent heavy thoughts and I think more people are being drawn to music like this because we're living in dark times ("the sick sick world" as she says in this song) - not just the pandemic, but the looming climate collapse that is underway caused by the narrow minded greed of the ruling class of capitalism (which also causes all wars today) which Tatiana has written about in many ways in so many songs. Great reaction as always, Anna! You're one of very few reactors to Jinjer who mention the whispered track, which I think they use very effectively: I love the ethereal feeling it adds in the third verse of Pisces and the biting nature of the whispered lyrics in their song Ape (highly recommended!). Thank you always, Anna, for bringing the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people and your fantastic Anna-lysis! ❤🖤🤘
Aye! 😂 I really dig this song too! The way Tatiana lays down the clean vocals and screams is just absolute art here. I'm glad you liked this reaction. 😊 Be well! xx
I really enjoy this song, along with Pisces this is my regular listen. On color symbolism: I've spent some time reading Jungian analysis of Alchemical principles and there colors black, white, yellow and red are strongly present, and while black, white and red are commonly represented people tend to have issues with Yellow as it's sort of devilish rancid color, associated with violent sulfur. So it tends to be left ignored by moralizing people as it exposes ugliness of things. In this Video i found it super interesting that Tatiana switched to Yellow shirt when getting home (while discarding the red skirt) which remained hidden underneath her kimono while she tried to sooth herself down making mandalas, her violent nature always there lurking and waiting moment to seize control. I might be reading too much into it thou. As a side note: Have you heard of Dir En Grey? Would be interesting to see what you have to say about their music, Dozing Green as easy approach. As bit harder one, Vinuhska. Live versions are much better than studio ones. Might not be quite your cup of tea, thou.
VERY interesting indeed! It's always fun to ponder over the smallest of details in music videos like this though, especially when JINJER pays attention to the finest of details.. I haven't heard of Dir En Grey until now! Just listened to some snippets of their music, pretty rough 😂
Happy to know you enjoy my content so much Marty! 😊 My strengths lie definitely in pop/rock/soul/jazz/blues/musical theater sort of stuff! I've been studying pop and jazz music in Finland and Scotland.

@@annavaskelainenthis is one of the things I like so much about your videos. Finnish is a beautiful language. Your voice is beautifully melodious. The subtitles help so much. And the outlandish Finnish words are very fun to apply to the English translation. Delightful!

ok, that's it... I'm starting to learn Finnish... hearing You speak is like magic to me... I need to understand this language... so wish me luck :o)) btw. great reaction, as always ;o) keep up the great job Anna ;o)

My favorite band. ❤❤❤
I already left a comment, but forgot to mention how much I Love your reaction and analysis. Please do Teacher Teacher but also want to mention a great live performance
(Perennial live at Wacken ) as I really think you will like it. It incredible
Tatiana has amazing transitions between both very beautiful clean vocals and grawls.
Another great review. Anna's killing it more than any Finn since Simo Häyhä. ;-)
😂😂😂 Oh jeez
Your enthusiasm is infectious. If I could recommend a band, a Norwegian band by the name of Leprous should definitely be checked out! Einar blows my mind with his voice, the whole catalogue is incredible, but I'd recommend Slave Live at Rockefeller Hall, Castaway Angels, Nighttime Disguise, Below, Alleviate... I tried to slim down the choices, but yeah! Good stuff all round!
Absolutely. I second the recommendation for Leprous! The man's voice is baffling.
Two votes for Leprous!
@@annavaskelainen the music itself I feel you'll enjoy too! Ranges from proggy metal stuff to just beautiful soundscapes!

lol love and appreciate the actual music analysis which is rare in the oversaturated reaction channels lane ......."Jinjer - Perennial (live at wacken 2019)", "Jinjer - Judgement and punishment (one take vocal)" and "Jinjer - Pit of Conciousness (live in kiev)", are good options to do next lol.
Thank you very much for your sweet and thoughtful comment David!
I want to keep things real. 😊 Good suggestions!
JINJER - Judgement (& Punishment) One take vocal performance could be nice to see in your channel!
The start (Staying, staying etc.), makes me Think of Guano Apes, which I know she loved in her younger days
A great reaction!
thx!
Taas ihan huippu reaktiovideo sulta! Loistavaa kuulla ammattilaisen oikeata analyysia ja kommentteja kappaleesta ja laulusta.
Ihana kuulla että tykkäsit! 😊😊😊
Oh and I think Eugene is separated now, so you can cling on to that hope !!!
you are welcome! 😊 Oh yeahh totally I can hear it now once you mentioned.
Thank you for the insight!
Love Jinjer, and nice to see an analysis from you again on them....but I can't decide, if I find you more attractive and interesting talking in english or "finnish" 😄 you're pretty even without makeup.
😂 hahahah thanks Kabuto xx
6:13 - In case you didn't notice, that there is the Pisces' symbol. 🙂
The most amazing thing about Tatiana's is that if she watches your video she'll go: "I did what?". She does all the things you pointed out because they sound good to her and not because she consciously knows that this or that technique goes well in this or that part.
You should check out Eugene's videos of him doing playthroughs. All eyes on him
Lock & loaded!!!!
Nice, Pink Martini are from my neck of the woods here in Oregon!
awww nice. I wish to see them live some day!
Btw, you are the first commenter who actually knows the band. Wild, right? xx
I gotta go home now, this life is a lockdown. I don’t know you Tati but I love you.
Hello Anna. It will be interesting to hear your comments.
Red and black and Red and white, one symbolises illness of the body and the other of the mind...
If you think thats complex try victorian flower 💐 language etiquette..😉 you'll never see a bunch of flowers in the same way again😂👍🏼😎🎶
Thank you very much Clive. 😊
"Red and black and Red and white, one symbolises illness of the body and the other of the mind... "
@@annavaskelainen
The victorians were so screwed up they had to invent Freudian analysis's ...and by the time he got his problems projected on everyone they needed Boaz and Jung to sort out the mess. 🤣🧙♂️ .... Mythology and arcitypes.... the early storytellers trying to make sense of their lives.
Remember even Black and white swap roles in some cultures so a bride would never traditionally wear white, the colour of death and mourning in certain SE Asian cultures.. I think Korea is one?🤔
@@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665 brides used to wear black in Finland too!

Well thats new to me 👍🏼😉 mind you in the UK a lot of traditions were invented or re invented by the Victorians ..
Aye! 😂
I really dig this song too!
Two videos in and I'm loving your channel. You know what your talking about and clearly have some sort of training. What is your musical background?
Happy to know you enjoy my content so much Marty! 😊

There is alot of symbolism in this video. Maybe she just wants people to leave her alone so she can get some work done or simple peace and quiet.

For Tati's fanats fun - old covers from the live bootleg with another band (not Jinjer):
11) "Tati Jinjer's Reggae jammin' 2011 #6" (Старый отель/Old Hotel - by Bravo/Aguzarova)
12) "Tati Jinjer's Reggae jammin' 2011 #2" (Помоги мне/Help Me - from the Soviet movie 1968)
I think you should react to "To the Hellfire by Lorna Shore" just to see how far harsh screaming vocals can go.

interesting point of view!
Kurkkaappas Yannis Papadopoulos nimisen hessun coveri jo aikaisemmin kanavalla nähdystä Nightwishin Ghost love scoresta.
I love this song; and I love the video even more. If Tati had not chosen to become a singer, I think she couldn't easily have become an actress. The ambience and story are both quite disturbing and spooky.
I can forgive you being distracted by Eugene, as long as you can forgive me having a bit of a crush on a certain Finnish vocal coach and RUclipsr . . .
