Royce so underrated it’s not even funny. It’s only May and this man has all ready released 2 amazing albums.
FK kroniiic I agree and imo he is one of the best lyricist to date and again my opinion doesn’t get the respect he deserves that’s forsure
FK kroniic --dude i 100000% agree. No one pays attention to what he says because they cant keep up. And because he don't change his style to fit in, which is why I have so much respect for him.
FK kroniiic he's actually overrated
Unbreakable360 u no absolutely nothing about hip hop if you think he’s overrated wtf is wrong with u
FK kroniiic he's a dope rapper, but he didn't release 2 amazing albums, they're ok
The joe budden click bait is funny af.
Ellen Green crazy thing they Royce and Angie both friends with Joe.
Hell yeah especially since he asked if he is click bait on his last podcast loll
Its like Royce has a new album promoting himself goes to interview and then he sees the video header lol
17:00
Beat and chorus are fire too (lyrics are but thats a given)
The Book of Ryan is brilliant.
Boblo Boat is crazy 🔥
Book of Ryan Legendary
Caterpillar is one of the craziest tracks of all time. 🔥🖖
Is it *REALLY* ?
@@professorXcross you damn right uzi fan
It’s good... that is all
@@kristoamadeus4441 it's amazing
Royce "I never been good at freestyling" have much MORE of my respect. You don't need to be a freestyler to be a great rapper.
I just use it to let shit out of my head when I'm alone
Little does Royce know his freestyle is Fire
But i saw him in freestyle fire 🔥
Too bad he said he would body any Battle rapper on crooks corner lol???
I respect his honesty. A lot of rappers pretend they can freestyle well when they can't. Some of the commentors don't understand
1. He freestyles like Eminem, with lots of pre written memorized stuff that he has no intention of turning into a song connected by bits of pure freestyle
2. He is very hard on himself
Damnnnn Joe Budden really is clickbait now
Bro everybody cries when joe says one thing but royce is doing a press run with joe as the clickbait on every stop
Luis Herrera Mkay
Dat nigga made it!!!! 😂😂
Factory!
Factoid. Shit is lame asf.
Joe on the next podcast: I don't owe Em shit Royce!! But I love Em tho ahahahaha
Rory And mal: (stare)
xD lmao THIS
GeorgetheGreat Joe Budden: and I love Angie but y’all better stop putting my name as click bates.
Edwin Galindo Budden "...for your strategic marketing."
slimsalmusic lmaooo so trueeee
yeah those dude might be enablers/yes men/ friends who are to loyal to go against joe. That everday interview joe did when he said that BS about Em cause he didnt like one radio single the one about cops.
God damn Royce is the calm intelligent monster... Love this dude
Royce been way too underrated since the 90’s. As an artist and as a human being.
Jaiime Mariie you differently right about you humans. Are also awaome lol
Facts
When we getting married? Im pretty busy, but you give me a date and time.
I don't know as a human being being underrated I don't get it that's deep
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiit, he is garbage!
Wish they talked about Joe’s claim that he’s been better than Em for a decade 😂
This was before Kamikaze
Exactly now he just saying that its a business fall out & not owning your own music but Trader Joe didn't acknowledge on his Podcast that he said hes better than Em🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
@Georg Tolstoj no I meant they cant talk about Joe's.claim because this interview was before he made the claim, obviously Em murders him this decade
@@eskilate7223 lmao revival alone shits on Joe's entire discography of this decade
I respect him saying he's not good at freestyle. Some dudes are just better at putting pen to paper.
It's a little annoying how the interviewers keep saying that Joe didn't like the album. Joe has said several times that he never listened to the album. He didn't like the song 'Untouchable', and that was the only thing he called trash. I love revival, I think it's so well written (especially castle/arose), but there are just a bunch of sheep out there and it was like a trend to hate the album. People hated it before it even came out, I don't think people have really really listened to it
missxcrazyy joe is full of shit. Thats what I hate about him. Sometimes he sounds like a fkn politician. Of course he listened to the fucking album.
I feel like Joe keeps coming up with an excuse to not listen to the album because he's said he's never listened to the album so many times now in his podcasts.
Well, shit lol
missxcrazyy finally someone with ears. But they have to do this shit for the views so smh
pistol pete maybe he did but it has nothing to do with what they're are saying he said vs what was actually said
I love how Royce is helping out Em
I love when people ask about Royce in a Royce interview, he doesn't usually get that
Revival was great for me.
Untouchable was great too, the lyricism amazing as always, but that's just what I like... Complex rhyming schemes.
V
I just think that if you don't like something you don't have to be so rude about it. Joe could just have said "I just don't like it." But no, he called it "trash" and the "worst song". Like did he really need to say all that?
Big facts
Revival was trash...hes not the only mc with complex rhymes 🙄
@Julia Horwood what's intellectual.... hes been saying the same shit since relapse
George Bell well Gee. His first 3 albums said all the same things. The similarity between those is way fucking higher than relapse through revival. Your literally saying his relapse album, his recovery album and his two older Em albums are saying more of the same shit than his first 3 albums who's only differences were targets and production.
George Bell who else uses comparable technicality like Em does?
6yrs sober congrats brah!! Keep going dude in the fast lane don't look back cuz ya stop now...peace Royce
Book of Ryan is one of the most impactful albums in Hip Hop History, very powerful! Grown man shit! Big up Royce!!!!
This was a great interview and his album book of Ryan is straight fire 🔥! Shot out to Royce da 59 and Eminem
Album is amazing
TheActivistBook it really is
it's pretty dope..well done to royce
lol its a art masterpiece, its not a causal listen, there are maybe 3 songs you could bumb in you car (summer on lock ((BANGER)) Legendary, and Dumb) the rest of the album is like you have to sit down and listen and listen in order because the transitions are important and the skits are super important. its an actually book we should be READING the damn album.
TheActivistBook YOU AREN'T REAL HIP HOP YOU IRRELEVANT SPEC OF SHIT.
TheActivistBook just sit there and listen to it with headphones and you will see how good a lot of the songs are just listen to arose or believe with headphones better than any other songs rappers are puttin out
I like Royce da 5'9's non-judgemental laid-back attitude.
As this man gets a little older (by most standards he's still a fairly young guy, only in music and baseball is he "aging") he gets better and better as a rapper and is becoming a leader and role model with the most amazingly centered attitude. Instead of getting mad at the young rapper's statements he shrugs and says "that's a young guy thing" and admits he might have said something like that when he was young, too. If he doesn't like music, instead of bitching about it he doesn't listen. If he doesn't like someone's attitude on Twitter he unfollows and that's that. He doesn't stress over petty shit and that's awesome.
Dope interview. Angie is so comfortable in her own skin and in her role as an interviewer. Royce seemed to enjoy sharing with her. Good shit!
Gotta love this guy! Much respect from germany!
Royce the man Detroit stand up!!!!!
I loved Revival and so far Kamikaze is top album of 2018...imo
Funny how it is the best selling album in 2018 too lmao
This interview is great. Grabbed me within seconds.
YO ROYCE 5'9''.....LOYALTY....."EMINEM"....6 YRS SOBRIETY...... ONE DAY AT A TIME.....IS A LONG TIME....KEEP SPITTING .....CONGRATS ON NEW ALBUM.......OUT..
PRhyme 2 and Book of Ryan are some of the best hip-hop albums of the year SO FAR. Royce is brillant. A lyrical (sometimes underrated) genius.
shout out to the people with an addictive personality. Shout out more to the people that recognize it and can control it.
Royce is actually becoming my favourite artist
Royce’s way of speaking is so calm and smooth. I like it
Refreshing to hear someone who actually understands addictiom and that its a hereditary disease, and knows the difference between addiction and dependancy
despite the clickbait title, this was a good interview....
she garbage interviewer didn't even understand his points
"Em owes an apology for Revival."
Personally, there were a couple of songs that I liked. Revival was alright. Only songs I didn't like was the original Chloraseptic and Heat.
Also, Eminem doesn't owe anybody shit. We're talking about a guy who cut his fanbase in half and he ain't even apologize for THAT. Just doing his thing still. And even if he WAS to apologize, I'd say his verse for Caterpillar and Chloraseptic Remix was more than an apology. After those two I just heard, who knows what Em might have in store for us this time around. "Don't tell me when I'm supposed to rap until"? Yeah. Em's not stopping anytime soon.
FINALLY someone gets it. Bro I've been trying to say that Em does not owe anything to anyone no more he's done enough and regardless if he's new shit is trash or not it ain't taking nothing away from what he had accomplished he's top 10 or top 5 goat regardless. And exactly the verse from Chloraseptic and Caterpillar basically proves that he can still drop bars if he wanted to. I just think people had too high of an expectation for revival.
Brian Ng preach he owes us nothing like seriously in the words of jayz niggas hate my new shit buy my old album
Hello. Apologies TT however Offended is pretty good. Agreeing with you about no apologies owed. Loves.
I mean it's alright. Reason why I don't like it all that much is because of how hesitant some parts of the flows were.
Chloraseptic and Heat are not the best songs in my opinion. I like the Chloraseptic Remix a lot better.
Thanks for being honest Royce! Ha, I'm the same with freestyles. Motivated all the more by this. Being 30 it's dope and a good reminder to never quit nor give up on my dreams, of touching the world with the bars, regardless of my age. Hope y'all have a blessed day and an incredible weekend, for real.
When are people gonna admit joe say he never heard the album this crazy
*Book of Ryan* gonna be on repeat for a week or two as of now....and that Power track with that Riddin Spinners Instrumental is 😣🔥🔥🔥
Joe should apologize to Eminem, not for shitting on the songs because he didn't review the album. However, the comments about the untouchable trackwas over the top, saying someone at shady is using racism to sell records.
Royce seems like a chill dude.
Royce is such a humble cool guy 👍
Royce has always been one of my favorite rappers very insightful well spoken give a great interview this dude has it. Cop the album it's a must have! Barz all dayz
I love Royce da 5,9's personality
That JU-I.C.E /Craig G shout out tho..
how about title it to Highlight Nickle's content and growth, rather than placing J.B. right after his name
Andy Anaya facts
My boy joe used as click bait
I don't mind it. I wouldn't have clicked the thumbnail if it didn't have that title. And it's a pretty good interview, I would have missed out.
STRATEGIC MARKETING
LMAO!
true, this was a good interview. Joe is the man tho
Woman beater Joe talk is @ 16:20
This album has been on repeat since 8am pacific standard time.
The most introspective I’ve ever witnessed him being other than with the track Tabernacle. It’s like a vivid audio movie of his life.
Or at least certain points that are pivotal.
Proof was very good off top.
Lil pump can’t even spell Harvard!
This may be in the comments somewhere in one form or the other, but The Book of Ryan is NUTS! Thanks for the content Royce, and Angie!
I love how Royce gives props
Damn, I understand people gaining a little weight, but Angie Martinez gained a whole damn person
Malik Abdul-Aziz she still fine tho. 🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾🤷🏾
22:30 straight to the damn point.
Joe budden is literally the reason why anyone will bother clicking on this. Well done hot97
KidNPlay you mean power 105.1
she left hot 97 a long time ago lol
KidNPlay chill I love Royce interviews
KidNPlay You must not know much about Nickel... Catch up dawg.
If anything it would be mainly the mention of eminem, but in this case ppl clicking for Royce
Everybody in Eminem's group owes an apology for being yes men
Socal Junior so true. They should of told him not to put out revival
facts
Bigpond Pond true, and Royce also acknowledges that Em helped all of their careers. I personally didn't of slaughterhouse until they signed with em. My perception at the time was like look a bunch of failed solo acts decided to make a group.
They had a large underground following at the time (first albums is fire)...as did Yelawolf. Both were being set as the next to blow.....Eminem/Shady Records completely fucked the momentum of their careers up. Honestly, it's not up for debate - whether they say it in public or not...both were geared up for greater things than they managed at Shady. Ironic how Eminem (the raw, shifty underground battle rapper) morphed into the major label brand he once hated.
Mr. G Yeah, in a way. But like Royce was already sorta respected I think. But yeah The biggest yes man is Like 50 cent or Biz, especially Biz. They rarely even talk and He was acting like him and Em were still tight.
one of the best jokes ive heard in a while was from joe buttoned up th back on one of his podcasts he said it and meant it was he has been better than eminem. for the last 10 years hahaha but I would also like to add Royce is such a refreshing person he talks facts and knows when to talk and when to listen and how can anyone be scared of that handsome face😊
The face and reaction of Royce at 6:03 talking about lil pump not liking the lyrical miracle has me weak for some reason lol
If your material isn't as good as it used to be, someone should care enough to keep it a buck with you. If people knew how to take criticism, and how/when to give it, music would be better in all genres.
Good interview but I wished that she would've check out the album or skimmed through it before she interviewed him, so that it could've been highlighted as the primary topic then all the other hot topics that other journalist and radio host have already discussed or questioned him about. It gets draining after awhile but respect to both Angie and Royce. "The Book of Ryan" is by far the realist and inspiring album that he has ecer realeased.
2023 and royce still one of the realist alive
People who say royce is em's mouth piece, dont you think if proof was here he would not be right there?
Cause they are home boy's, and they stand up for one another
Royce is bigger than a "Joe budden" reference in a headline. Smh. That man has life bars.
I love Royce for his respect
To anyone who thinks his double standard between Joe and Kanye is an issue. Joe and Em are two of his closes friends in the industry he wants things to be chill in the family. Joe can beef with anyone in the industry but from Royce's pov it's a family issue that can be resolved. Where Joe isn't nearly as invested in that as Royce thinks he should be. It's like trynna get one brother from your mom and one from your dad to get along. Kanye is just someone he admires musically. It's a different dynamic.
Good interview.
TheInfamil yep!!
except the clickbait title
Wasnt good. We didnt learn anything new. Media easily could have listened before May 4th but she hadnt even listened to his album yet proving she didnt put any effort into this interview.
She dropped the ball and got a basic boring interview.
TheInfamil what interview did you watch he was asked the same questions in every fucking interview he was in 🤣
Yes
Still waiting to hear Joe say he has heard emeinems album let alone it being trash. He said untouchable was trash. Said he liked walk on water haven't heard him review anything else
Pretty sure he was shitting on the tracklist on an everyday struggle episode.
No clickbait. Royce did mention joe owing em an apology in this interview
"I got put on the spot in a battle with mista fab"
And?
"And lost"
😂😂😂😂😂
ROFLLL what Royce said about the podcast was crazy hahaa
Some of yall are confused as to how the business actually works. If people took a second to really think about it irl and consider all the variables at play (or even what you'd say about your own friends/colleagues,) it's quite reasonable for Em to feel a way, or for Royce to think Em should get an apology from Joe. But yall just heard Joe say something you agreed with about the music and decided he must be a hero for saying it.
313 represent!!
Royce is real how can people not like him. I really want to see Em, Royce, Joyner, and Logic on a track
Hes done a track with logic its pretty dope
His track with logic, Royce delivered, logic was on some white black silliness per usual
Royce is a cool cat. Not with all the theatrics and same ol same ol. And about Lyrics. Just let the Corny mumble rappers and there clueless minds do there bs...real recognizes real
I remember angie from 2000s, damnnshe was young and sexy AF!
Props Royce for doin a song on addiction it's been big in ma life too in different ways
The track is fucking dope, bad meets evil back at it again. Ya know there's crazy barz once these two bounce off of each other. There just as crazy as each other on a track.
there's too many yes men in Eminem's camp, someone needs to sit him down and tell him that not everything he makes is good. can somebody tell him if he really thought that Shady debut album from Slaughterhouse was good? cause all i heard was cookie cutter factory made music that was forced by the record label. their indie album was alot better, even their House Rules mixtape was dope.
Hip Hop Immortal I loved welcome to our house
Agreed, that first single was one of the worst songs of the decade. A real shitty Eminem Recovery throwaway beat. Putrid.
Exactly. An artist is judged off of their previous standards of quality. Compare the Slim shady EP/LP, MMLP, TES to Recovery, MMLP2 and Revival. The drop in standard warrants the term 'fallen off.' Revival is genuinely a terrible album. He was done nearly a decade ago (sadly).
Beat wise, Revival was wack, lyrically it was Genius! Don't worry the Dr is back for the next Album,
Imagine if Slaughterhouse were around Em for his golden age (98-2003).....would have been fucking classic. D12 were dope though.
all love for royce
Royce is such a good talking dude
This has been the best conversation in 60yesrs
Album is so dope. Probably the best of the year.
i don't care what the numbers are going to say which one is better but for me book of ryan is the best album
Royce is the best RAPPER in the world right now and congrats to joe for becoming click bait only dude to become relevant after retiring
Joe NEVER said the album was trash lol good Lord ... Like NEVER said that
It aint no betta FEELIN, den turnin down you a BAAAAD one,
DAZ dat shit dat make you LEGENDARY!!!
It means so much to hear that Royce himself has been insecure about freestyling cause he so good at writing and performing his own songs...
My fav rapper doing it today
Yo Is Anyone wondering how MuchDank is gonna play around with this??
Hip hop culture went from 'to each one, teach one' TO artist gossip & celebrity worship. What happened on main element of hip hop, ya know the MUSIC ???????
ROYCE IS CERTIFIED IN THIS RAP GAME. TRUE M.C
Respect Royce straight up no lie
I came here for Royce not for Budden. I dont even know who Budden is.
Preach!!!
Awww man you got me with the joe budden click bait
Royce gotta take off the cape and let Em hold that L by himself
Robert Antonetti facts
Robert Antonetti that his childhood hb you idiot called.loyalty something joe doesn't have
Royce is eminems mouthpiece for this, dont know why or what he's getting out of it but while Em stays silent to not look like a bitch everyone around him is crying about budden, to me all that means is Em is bitching about it and getting his yes men platoon to be the mouthpiece for his discontent.
infowars dotcom besides the last sentence
Robert Antonetti so all these years, it is wrong for a friend to help out a friend?
Good interview. He was super chill. Kind of funny but it was entertaining.
He was being a fan.... despite being a artist. As a fan he expressed his opinion
My homie played a few songs for me off the album. Sounds like it's going to be real dope
great interview
"I've never been good at freestyles"-Royce
Also Royce- has the universaly accepted best Freestyle ever spit
(L.A Leakers Thou Shall)
He means off the dome.
Notice how he didn't say Ortiz agreed...
Facts
I see Eminem and joe Biden I click
These dudes aren’t friends, you can tell by the way he’s talking... I used to cut people like Joe off back when I was a teenager, I’m in my 30s now. This is industry friendly peace talk but they don’t fuckin like each other
