Hi everyone!!! Thank you to all of you who were in the live chat when the video premiered! I really enjoyed chatting with you all live for the first time ever. I am sorry the chat ended abruptly---apparently it ends very quickly after the video finishes. Do any of you know? This was my first premiere style video ever. Love and light to you all and happy candlemaking!!!
OMG! You just saved me a lot of red tape between me and Howdy Beer. The temp on my Didiboils only went to 140. Now I know that was Celsius. Also, I know how to change to Fahrenheit. Thank you for being so thorough!

I use in my wax 10%, and they smell really good. Suggestion there’s a video I believe it’s from candle science in the heart you can add a red dye in the center of the heart in the first half once it gets cold add the remaining wax, and when melted it looks really cool. I also add micas sometimes to my wax melts and they look beautiful.
Hi Allen!! Oh my gosh I’m so excited you are making wax melts!! You might remember I was asking about them so that I can try and sample your wonderful scents!! I will be placing an order very soon, can’t wait to try them! I saw your post on Instagram, and I just have to tell you, you have a beautiful soul! I’m so very proud to know you and learn from you! You have a beautiful family and a beautiful life! God Bless you and keep you in His ever-loving arms!❤️🤗🙏
It depends on the fragrance oil the percentage I use. I always try for consistency on how many hours the fragrance last in my wax. I want my customers to always experience the same warm/burn time no matter what fragrance melt they buy. Just like candles, test, test and did I mention test again. Since you have been making Candles for years you know every fragrance oil is different and has different density. Know what you want out of your wax melts and keep working on them until you achieve your goal. I have faith you will get there very soon. Keep up the awesome work my friend. You are doing fantastic. 💞🌻
Hi Melissa! Thank you so much for your comment and words of encouragement. It’s an honor to have you in our RUclips candle fam. Love and light always 💛🌱
@@earthglow You're welcome. As a candle and wax melt maker, I'll always share my advice with you so you can determine if you want to try it out or not. Very nice to have finally found you and become part of your family. 💞
Not only do melts throw better than candles, but they smell better too! Have you noticed that after a candle is half burned, it has that burned/charred smell since wood is literally on fire in it? That doesn't happen with a melt, its just heated, not burned. The smell is more pure. I use 12% and fill the clam shell all the way up. I like your pumpkin and twinkle light backdrop :) Good idea about giving free little samples!
Hi Cheryl! Thank you so much for your comment. Yes, that is one reason why I do not like 464 alone with the wooden wicks because it tends to leave a charred smell after burning (adding the beeswax and coconut oil helps mitigate this in my experience). Love and light always 💛🌱
Omg I’m over here on the other side just cheering you on and excited for you not bad at all they pop out pretty easy you did really well with them I’ve never made them and I got some supply and I’m gonna give it a shot I’m glad you shared this video because I am very new with wax melt I think they came out great !
Hello, I use the Pillar of Bliss wax from Natures Garden and it is a Parasoy wax for tarts and pillars. I use 16 percent fragrance oil per pound of wax. After thoroughly testing I found that it produces a good hot throw without any seepage or oil leaking.
Hi Allen, Congratulations on your new toy. Your wax melts looks beautiful 🤩 I love making melts! I have a large collection of Scentsy Warmers and a few Tea light burners. Can't wait to buy your melts. I do full my clam shells. Did you say the scent lasted a few Days. I use TW 30 with Beeswax I'm starting to add Palm wax to my blend. Most FO I add 15% the wax can go up to 18% . Thank you for the video PeAcE I've gotten some Awesome molds from Etsy and Michael's Craft
Hi Val!! Thank you so much for your comment. I am so excited to finally have embarked on the wax melt journey. I am sure there will be hurdles but right now all has gone so smoothly and I am just thrilled. Love and light always 💛🌱
Hi Allen! Yay!! Congratulations on the melts they looked to be a great success! I haven’t tried melts just yet, but coincidentally enough I have heart moulds for when I do make them 😂 great minds, right? I saw you have the dust covers on the candles. How have the dust covers served you with relation to helping contain CT? Ok, so my opinion I think over fill if you sell them in the clam shell. Under pour and pop them out if you plan to give them as samples ( clean edges and saving product ) I want to say I heard you can use like 12% FO in melts. But if you are already getting great HT might not be needed for the FOs you used . Ps adorable shot of the heart melting!! Made me smile ♥️ Keep shining like you do 🌟 Marissa
Hi Marissa! Thank you as always for your comments, kind and encouraging words, and love. I find the dust covers do help a bit with CT but I don’t think many clients put them on after they have taken them off for the first time. YES!! I love the heart moulds!! So glad you have one too. They work perfectly for the samples-I only hope my wax blend doesn’t melt in the warm weather but there are other options like substituting GW 494 for the 464 etc. Love and light always!! Such a privilege to have you here. 💛💖🌱
@@earthglow For sure those dust covers come off after the first burn and are never seen again 🙃. Still good to know they did help with the CT prior to burning. Aww! Thank you, too! You’ve helped me and inspired me with my own candles. I plan to file for my EIN, get insurance, form the LLC, and all that fun stuff in 2023. Being a wee babe in this journey and seeing you out here just shining away gives me courage to not give up. 🌟♥️
Hi Queen Aces! Thank you so much for your comment and feedback. I had so much fun making these and I’ll be sure to fill them a bit more next time. Love and light always 💛🌱
Hi Allen. Welcome to the wonderful world of wax melts! They are just so fun. I fill my clamshells all the way to the top. I also use about 15% in my wax melts. Then I cure for 2 weeks using Luxe soy wax from Sozo Essentials. They come out beautifully and smell unbelievable.
Hi Tammey! Thank you so much for your comment. I am sure your melts are extraordinary. I had so much fun making mine and it was an honor to take you all with me on the journey. Love and light always!! 💛🌱
I would fill all the way with the clamshells. I use rose shaped silicone molds from Michael's. I'm sure it will be a pain once I start selling. But they're so pretty. I use 10% FO with C55 tart wax.
Oh those sound lovely, Jeanice. Thank you so much for sharing and I will be sure to fill them up a bit more on my future batches. Love and light always.
Oh my gosh thanks for showing how to put the digiboil together cause I would have been so lost!!!! 😂😂😂😂 I’ve been so hesitant because I hear of people having issues with leaking etc! 😅😅 Will definitely be tightening that as much as I can! 😂
Hi Allen. I’m curious to know what chemicals are in pillar wax. I use GW 494. I love it. Im still gonna test a few others because apparently I can’t help myself. Lol. Also, most people fill the clamshells to the brim. Best wishes and thanks for the quality content.
Hi Tara! Thank you so much for your comment. Because pillar candles stand alone, they have to be made from a rigid wax and the most commonly used is still a primarily paraffin wax, which is a petroleum byproduct (basically the sludge scraped from the bottom of a petroleum barrel). I wouldn’t consider this natural and it’s definitely not a renewable resource. GW 494 is a soy wax specifically formulated for tarts and melts due it it’s easy and clean release in moulds. It’s a partially hydrogenated soy wax with bio-based additives derived from botanical wax. Totally an exception to the rule. 🌱💛 I would encourage you to continue testing other waxes and I will likely do the same myself too. I know EcoSoya’s PB is another all-natural 100% soy pillar wax and that’s one I’ve been looking into as well as GW 494. Love and light always 💛🌱
went to howdy brewer but did you buy the wax melter one or the electric kettle one... the description is exactly the same but im a bit ocd and wonder which you got. lol

I blend beeswax and 494 with 10% FO. I love it. Im actually contemplating becoming an all wax melt company instead of using my wood wicks. I still cure them for a full 2 weeks but it has been a much easier testing phase lol
Hi Blaque! Ooh I think that could be a great natural way to harden your wax. Like an alternative to paraffin or stearic acid but with air purifying benefits!!!

I dont put soy in my melts just bw and coconut oil. To soft for a melter.🐝🕯
You gotta do what works for you!! Soy waxes vary with meltpoint based on the additives put into the wax by the manufacturer.
