Me too I haven’t been able to get to the parks my last trip was October 2022 and I got the flu on the 4 day we were there and I haven’t been to Harry Potter land at Universal so we were going that day and I woke up with a fever, chill bumps,no appetite,body aches, so I only went out to dinner and my niece begged me to take her to the Orlando Outlets cause we used to come down once or twice a year and she went to that same Victoria Secret and was able to get like $5 panties. I did take her but I stayed in the car and slept I just went out to dinner and we were flying out the next day. That’s 2 times in the last couple visits where I came home with the flu, I think kind of it has something to do with the temperature change I live in East TN but Orlando is way more humid and hot. We would only go in the spring or fall that was our favorite especially for Halloween time. Why I’m telling everyone this I don’t know I’m an over sharer and I love to talk about Disney 😂
I love that Splash Mountain is still their, and in its original form. And I love that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride is also in it's original form. The parade was really cool! There were so many characters, and that was really fun to see. The Beauty and the Beast ride looked amazing!

Seeing Splash in Tokyo and how well it ran shows that they just didnt care about keeping up the ride in the US. Thankfully Japan has more reverence for their parks than the US does.
Disney Parks are a worldview that originated in America, so Japanese people want to experience the American atmosphere as much as possible. Even if you don't understand the meaning of the words, hearing English spoken throughout the park allows you to enjoy the comfort of being able to distance yourself from the real world of Japan. If the lyrics are in Japanese, it is also so that you can understand the story of the attraction.

People in Japan are so respectful which it is ok to serve alcohol since people will behave and not get stupid drunk (that I know of). I love going over seas and I wish I was living over seas in countries like Japan, Sweden, Finland, etc.

Tokyo Disney is not owned by Disney. There is licensed agreement between the company who owns Tokyo Disney and Igers Disney. From what I understand, Disney has requested the splash mountain redo but Tokyo Disney said no thanks. They don’t have the political issues that Iger has inserted into the company. Latest I heard is Iger is threatening to shut it down if the change is not made. I don’t recall the source or if there’s an update. Bravo to Tokyo Disney for standing firm on keeping the ride as is. 👍

Iger also doesn't have the authority to shut it down as his company doesn't own the Tokyo parks and he would not dare to threaten OLC given how much capital Disney gets from them paying the licensing fee and royalties. Its one of the few areas Disney is getting a lot of revenue from unlike its parks they own

Pirates still has the annoying and unnecessary movie references, which were obviously added later, but at least most of the censorship isn't there.
