Still got it! Remember watching him ride brakeless at Chenga in the mid 90's. He and Kevin were a different level back then. They both changed the game completely.
Chase. The few months you were in the UK in Bristol we had such a laugh. Busking, smoking, drinking. The Blackthorn blackouts.. Bristol cider riders.. I still have the dreadlock you gave me.. Love you dude.. Stu..
Chase is the greatest ever. Been a fan since Dorkin 4. I even built my own re-released Hoffman Big Daddy because of Kevin and Chase and it had to have the Chase Gouin Odyssey Flatware bars and Frequency G tyres, of course. Love ya man. Ride on.
I reamember seing this on a site a few years ago. He's my favourite, aggressive, so damn smooth and tons of originality. From the fitst time l saw him in Dorkin up until 2000 he got better and better and better. Even with his arm, wrist support for tendinitis he was rippin it up and better than most even with those ailments. He's got an aura. You know that feeling you get when you nail some combos. There's nothing like it.
This is so awesome!! Seeing him ride two different generations of bikes. Yes the struggle is real! I get hurt trying to do basic rolling tricks on my 88’ Master. It’s so heavy and geometry is way off compared to my We The People Utopia frame. Glad Chase is still ripping’ it up these days!! Wising him the best!!! Mad respect to you Chase!!! 👏👏👏
I never thought I’d see him again! I’ve always wanted to meet him. I missed the opportunity to meet him by half an hour or so. When he came to the UK. I was gutted. That raw footage was great. His riding was impeccable
I was given a bike around 10 years ago that came with some of his old forks on it . The thing does halflashes all by itself . I can't even do a halflash !
I feel this struggle... I recently built up my 1994 GT Performer that I learned most of the foundation tricks on, and it's almost unrideable compared to my present day bikes. It's wild to physically feel the evolution and improvements BMX bikes have had over the past few decades in real time.
This gave me goosebumps.metro jam 2010 I believe I was working on some link he probably invented years b4 and he told me to keep at. I asked him to try a perverted decade cause I had to see it in person. Nails it first try. Not only a great rider, but amazing person. Legend!!
Still got my DNA Hopper 2 with Phil Dolan bars. Never getting rid of it! Dont/can't ride flatland anymore but still have a bmx at work for getting around the site much to everyone's amusement. I'm 43.
So Awesome. I was there in Limoges riding a tan Soul Bro...but did not know the story about the lost bike. Absolute graal. Make me think of Dave and Mat madness !!
Very good video, thank you for making it and showing us all. Can I ask please which frame would Chase say he like the most? What was the easiest one to ride with please? Thank you.
Chase should be living in a fairly comfortable house with a fair bit of money. And enjoying his retirement riding. These people who are very good at what they do don’t get what they deserve
Oh my actual god!! Chase! Reeeeeeessssppppeeeeccccctttt!!! I was cheering at my tv watching that!! I’ve still got my 90’s taj. 👊
Spent tons of hours watching Chase ride on my VHS tapes. So slick and smooth and powerful. Lovely to see him still riding today. Stay well.
I remember him riding with us at Tamosahnter in Sylvania OH back in the day! He was so good!
Good to see Chase still riding any footage is rare, hope his health issues are fully mended or improved😎

Legend! The GOAT!

I would think chase videos of him riding 5 minutes ago would be everywhere and yet they are very few and far between.
Yes!!!This has made my day!!
fantastic ! don't wanna sound fruity but it's sort of heartwarming ... indeed

Long live Chase!

I can't even do a halflash !
The Legend of Flatland is back !!
Chase Gouin is a best rider in the world !!
Niko from France !!
Sick!
Brilliant video, still inspiring me to ride 30 years later. Great to see he still has so many of his signature moves still down.

This is great. I'm happy you guys hooked up.

Best rider of is entire generation, oh my chase
I've ride with Chase in early 90's at the world championship in France ( Limoges ) , nice to see this video.
Hell yes
This was AWESOME!!!!

My hero. Go on Chase!
👏
Hermoso el Big Daddy 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
It's weird seeing him with a shirt and pants.
Florida’s weather 🔥🔥🔥
Wow!
The big daddy probably weighs twice as much as his present day flat bike
Plural, has multiple bikes all set up differently for diff tricks.
Now do one with Kevin Jones .
❤❤❤
KEEP MAKE MORE VIDEOS !!!.
RAD FOR LIFE 🤙🏽

Is this the actual bike that got lost or someone just rebuilt a similar one?
Amazing !
There were 2 prototypes. This one was kevin jones that I restored. Chase had the other prototype, his was the one that was lost on a flight in 1993.
