Chase should be living in a fairly comfortable house with a fair bit of money. And enjoying his retirement riding. These people who are very good at what they do don’t get what they deserve

I almost bought one, if it was real. The dropouts were too chewed up. I had 96 for a minute. My Wedgie Jackson Redneck was slipping,so the fork steer tube may have been worn out, and my shin would hit the platform when I halflash.

The Mr. Perfect theme music at the end was a nice touch. Bike came out sick!🍻

Chase is the greatest ever. Been a fan since Dorkin 4. I even built my own re-released Hoffman Big Daddy because of Kevin and Chase and it had to have the Chase Gouin Odyssey Flatware bars and Frequency G tyres, of course. Love ya man. Ride on.

This is so awesome!! Seeing him ride two different generations of bikes. Yes the struggle is real! I get hurt trying to do basic rolling tricks on my 88’ Master. It’s so heavy and geometry is way off compared to my We The People Utopia frame. Glad Chase is still ripping’ it up these days!! Wising him the best!!! Mad respect to you Chase!!! 👏👏👏

This gave me goosebumps.metro jam 2010 I believe I was working on some link he probably invented years b4 and he told me to keep at. I asked him to try a perverted decade cause I had to see it in person. Nails it first try. Not only a great rider, but amazing person. Legend!!

It’s crazy because this is when Matt Huffman kept the sport going while so many other people left, and I’m not going to lie I was included in that. I was really big into freestyle between 85 and 87 sum of 88 then I got my drivers license a car girlfriends And I don’t even know what happened to my bike. I think someone talking to my garage and stole the bike, but I didn’t even pay attention to freestyle. After all the magazine shut down I guess there was really no way to pay attention to it. Living in the Bronx, New York. Nobody rode near me, and we didn’t have places to ride anyway. I got back into freestyle when I found BMX museum and that was probably in 2009 or 2010. I literally picked up anything that was new Old stock and I ended up with so many things frames for wheels original hutch cranks petals then around 2012 or 13 I realized I was sitting on awful lot of items and if the sport went downhill again, I’d be sitting on just metal, so I ended up selling almost everything back to the museum. A few things I wish I kept. I had a new old stock mongoose decade in that mint color I had a refurbished 1987 Haro team Master, I had a set of hutch three-piece cranks. I believe they were the square ones I had a new old stock of the peregrine, three-piece cranks, and the white and black chain disk , one side was white one side was black. I still have all my magazines from 1984 to about 1988 and I would never sell. They are coming with me to the grave I could pick up one of the magazines and I instantly remember the full magazine from front to back even the advertisements, even the magazines that were for racing even though I didn’t race I still enjoyed reading about it. One of the bike I had that I wish I kept the Haro pistol Pete I think it was the RS one race bike 1987 I wish I kept that bike. No I have a 2017 Haro team master that looks like a 1987 and a 24 inch Haro freestyle bike and a few odd and end pieces , mag wheels. Those were the days I wish I stayed in the hobby.

I feel this struggle... I recently built up my 1994 GT Performer that I learned most of the foundation tricks on, and it's almost unrideable compared to my present day bikes. It's wild to physically feel the evolution and improvements BMX bikes have had over the past few decades in real time.
