- Today I'm unboxing and giving you a FIRST reaction to Argos Adonis Awakens! A complex Rose perfume with dark woody undertones.

An absolutely gorgeous fragrance, to the untrained nose - it may come across similar to Pallas Athene... But after the initial burst of raspberry dissipates the two go in separate directions.
This is a brilliant scent that will be in heavy rotation as the spring flowers come out and will definitely get noticed!!
Completely agree with you Max! On initial spray I could pick out the similar DNA to Pallas Athene (and even a slight booziness like Triumph of Bacchus - but much darker)
This one here will also making it into my own Spring Summer list ;)

What are your favourite coconut/ sun tan lotion fragrances?
If this perfume is to emulate legend of Adonis, then this perfume should have 1/3 darkness notes to pay homage to persophone, 1/3 lively spring notes to pay homage to Aphrodite then remainder neutral. This must be a spring, winter perfume.
Christian Petrovich has said it symbolises Adonis being brought back to life by Aphrodite's kiss. He mentioned Persephone, and that Adonis spending half the year in Hades is a later consequence of his death and rebirth, so not symbolised here. The man loves his mythology!
Correct the legend says when Adonis was killed by a hunter, Zeus reserrected Adonis with the deal for Adonis to live half of the time in the underworld and then remainder with Venus (aphrodite). Never tried this perfume house.
