South Korea’s reigning esports champions open their doors to reveal the nation’s evolving culture and the transformation of the nation’s youth.
Part of the Game is a documentary series that explores the global phenomenon of esports in different corners of the world. From the bustling PC bangs of Seoul to the gaming houses of Berlin, it investigates how different cities and cultures have impacted the unique world of esports.

im glad they explained parents perspective instead of calling them old and trashing them like they do in western docs.
true.. but it took decades and i bet those parents were around 30 yo (25~35?) when the esports professional league started in korea. even me, a 40 yo korean, i love e sports and i, personally, really think and treat the e sports leagues just as other professional sports league such as mlb, nfl, primere league, la liga and so on. the only difference i see is their professional life span is dead short and retire ave. 10 years earlier than other sports.
the streaming services such as youtube and twitch can be their post retirement career which hopefully make up the 10 year shortage compared to other sports.
hopefully more people would start to think as me globally.

South Koreans study about 15-20 hours per day and so they work that hard they deserve to play and I think that the work ethic translates to gaming which is why they have such a high skill level of that compared to other countries
20 hours leaves 4 for everything else, including sleep. Please improve your math.

Can someone make a list of the games they play online . Can you play with them from anywhere across the world ?
they are one of the top league of legends players, and yess you can play with them if you want but then you would have to switch server to their reagion and you will get high ping.
For league, you can play with them in the korean server. But depends where you're on you'll probably gonna have to stick to your nearest servers

I don't get it. I mean, heads up to the genius that came up with the PC Cafe idea to drained every drop of penny from the hands of video game addicts but I wouldn't called these cafe as "allowed people to come and share this culture together."
the pc cafe in South Korea is really cheap, less then 1 dollar for 1 hour and the price goes down if you buy longer periods of time. so like about 3 dollar for 5 hours
