I hate whoever had the idea of top down chase games with a set running speed. They are the worst and this one is no exception to the rule. I was able to complete this chase but man was it a pain in the ass. Got to watch out for those corners to slow down the bot.
okay so i just figured it out, in order to get through the first hallway, you need to take the narrowest turns possible. don't hesitate to grind on the walls a little bit, it does not slow you down, as long as you don't drop your speed by dropping the current direction before the corner, and ram into the wall, you'll still be fast. in undertale, undertale yellow, and many similar games, the speed vector isn't normalized. what that means is that if you just hold right, you'll go one unit per second right, but if you hold the right key and the up key simultaneously, you will be going 1 unit to the right AND one unit up simultaneously, instead of 1 / √2 units up and 1 / √2 units right, so you technically move √2 times faster when you're going diagonally. during the first three turns on the white floor (the first part after the black hallway), you can use this fact to get a really big lead on him because he follows a straight cardinal path (he doesn't move diagonally) then once you get to the little vat of lava in the corner, since the actual path is diagonal, it's not as big of an advantage, so you just need clean execution for the second half. clip every corner you can clip, if a hallway is clear and wider than your body, then you should always be hugging the inside wall and buffering the turn input: like if you're running down, and you're about to turn to be facing left, you should be grinding on the left wall of the hallway, and as you come up to the turn, you should have your left input held down before the turm actually happens just so you start moving left on the same frame that you cross the corner. then once you pass the corner, you can release your down input, while you're running left, hit up ir down to put yourself on the next wall and buffer the turn, remember this game does not have a normalized velocity vector, so hitting up or down doesn't decrease your left velocity at all, it's always constant if unobstructed) as long as you follow these instructions, and then learn the pathing so you don't run into any walls, you should be able to clear this pretty easilt.
you've just gotta make it to the first diagonal after the hallway, and just cut the corner, the robot runs faster than you but he can only run in 4 directions so the only way you can widen your lead is by taking a shorter path, I've gotten to the stepstool twice so far but the execution is really tight for me, i think it might be because I'm running it on WINE and the framerate is a little stuttery and inconsistent, it feels like any time there's any lag clover totally stops running but axis does not

simple solution: play genocide.
this entire section made me LOVE that one scene from the geno route
yeah, LOVE
I'm playing on an android port and turning diagonally when you want to is damn near IMPOSSIBLE!
Yeah, I passed that. For the 99999th try

💀💀
thought such a big game would normalize it's vecs
BRO THIS IS SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS WHY THEY GOTTA MAKE IT THIS HARD
😢
I can't get passed this damn robot
Bro instead of x use shift is so easy with shift
Same, I always captured by him many times when I played it on mobile version and finally I managed to escape from him
@@SanesDonasor just enable auto-run???
Easy solution,
Do genocide route, and you get to chase the robot :D
@@Hellon-ur2oo BEAT CEROBA
Bro, how'd you do this? He's just faster everytime
just take frequent turns and shortcuts
for me i held shift for running instead of x
and it worked, so mabye try that is my guess
I didn't even know how to run before this
💀??@@tombo9637
Diagonals!
bro i got caught how do i leave that room
Vent and enter
How the fuck do i do this on my phone the controls are so janky is there no way to run even faster!?
Still not work, i played this like 18 times with shift and x still not easy why? My robot run so fast help

On mobile? Just quit
axis dmg is bs
Oh. Easy.
Ost?
087 - FOUND YOU.
I dont know about you, but I beat this first try and couldnt fathom the idea of this being difficult.
How? The robot is fater than me
He can only run in one axis, hug corners as much as possible
Fater💀💀💀💀💀
Where is ceroba?
It's neutral route
Ceroba only appears in pacifist
Where the fuck is Ceroba?
i'm playing on neutral
I hate this part so much
Axis can't move diagonally, so you gotta abuse his flaw as much as you can
