i miss xbox 360. they used to put so much effort into avatars, indie games, etc. i remember my friends and i would be on arcade games like dungeon defenders and charlie murder for literal hourssssss. those were the days. xbox 360 is and always will be a legendary console

I wish it lasted one more year to celebrate Xbox 360's 20th anniversary since its release...But sadly it didn't.. First the Wii Shop Channel shutdown 5 years prior in 2019, and now, the Xbox 360 store shutting down....God, the 7th generation is going away further and further, but thankfully there are people whom have archived many of the avatars, video games, dlc, updates, etc. that have been preserved, but not so much avatar items. I do think sometime in the future, we'll be able to make custom made avatar items for people to use in their console.
The console was crazy I'll never forget when Halo 3 launched when I was just starting my sophomore year in high school. The halls were littered with people screaming halo 3 halo 3 merch every where. I had this awesome halo 3 shirt. We all were drinking 2 liters of halo mountain dew. No other game ever hit like that in my life to this day
Yeah, the 7th generation console launch was something even as a person that went into 3rd grade that year was amazing....But I do think with people using smartphones these days, it's hard for people to get excited over console generations nowadays compared to 18/19 years ago.
@SuperFlashDriver yeah that must've been nuts when I was going into third grade it was all about the gameboy and n64. The GameCube dropped the following year but the ps2 really stole the show. I still only had a ps1 and gameboy though because I was broke haha. Either which way nothing matched the wave of hype that was halo 3. Pokémon held a candle to that when gold and silver dropped but halo 3 just had more of an impact in general from kids to adults
@@LumbyMcGumby Yeah, around 2005 2006 was when the 7th generation was kicked off with the 360 ( but I never bothered with Xbox because, well, I was more of a Nintendo Sony type of person and we still had the PS1, PS1, Gamecube, N64, and eventually the WIi, and multitude of gameboy and DS handhelds). I was unfortunate to not experience the Halo type of thing back in Gen 6, but I have seen news reports of it back in the day, just never became a part of it because I had no interest in playing Halo, even nowadays.
The Xbox 360 Was prime gaming, everything was in its prime while the Xbox 360 was around, the market place had ‘amazing’ games, backgrounds Avatar items, gamer pics, they will all be lost media. People will be talking about MLG pictures packs, and the Minecraft DLCs, I would pay for £20 ( $23 i think) for Minecraft DLCs but I’m saving for a PC. And also my Xbox 360 glitches out when I try to buy a game or DLC or I downloaded Demos that I wanted/ needed before the store shuts. I got a few pictures packs, the Guinness world record picture pack ( its weird af )
Not sure if y’all know but you’ll still be able to get gamer pics and themes even after the stores shut down!! They’re not from playing certain games, they’re actually from the Official Xbox Magazine Demo Discs. There’s ALOT of hidden ones that never made it to the stores, like Fallout New Vegas, Saints Row 1, and more. It’s definitely worth making a video on just showcasing them.

I will say I haven’t gone thru all the demo discs so idk what’s on all of them but one of them did have the Borderlands premium theme that’s on the marketplace and another having some COD 4 gamer pics, so there might end up being quite a few items that are currently on the marketplace that are also on those demo discs💯

I love collecting gamer pics but themes are usually my go-to. One of my all time favourites is the Vintage Comic Mickey Mouse Theme. You should definitely cop that one if you don't have it already as well as the Nightmare Before Christmas one from the same category of Disney Classics. Awesome video by the way man.

Its really sad that the xbox 360 marketplace will be shut down in less than 2 weeks. All the games, addons and dlc, themes, gamerpics, and avatar items will be gone. Im gonna miss em At 3:23 I have to agree lmao, theres just a different feeling. Personally, I like the xbox 360 avatars more than the Miis. Both are great and nostalgic, but the Xbox 360 avatars have way more customization. Its kinda sad they don’t use avatars for the newer Xbox consoles I can relate to the feeling scrolling through the xbox 360 marketplace. It was also a big part of my time on the xbox 360. $228.56 is worth it 💯, i agree with you how it would be worth every dollar you spend Its crazy how not only games, but all gamerpics, themes, and avatar items will be gone. I'm legit depressed even if I've collected so much Xbox 360 games. I should be super grateful I started collecting seriously in 2021 and with what I have brought on the Xbox 360. IK 343 Industries SUCKS but I feel like Chief saying goodbye to Cortana after nuking the composer.
Another end of an era, and for me it was the end of console gaming in general, i never bought any modern console after my xbox 360, only PC. This feels wierd to be honest, i grew up with ps1, ps2, i have seen the ps1 era come to an end as a kid, ps2 era coming to an end as a teen, and now as an almost thirty year old adult im seeing the xbox 360 THE console of my teenage years, also fading away.... The years have passsed and i lost all touch with modern gaming, i dont even recognize the gaming scene i grew up in no more.. All good things must come to an end, im just happy i was there to witness it all in its full glory

If you did not cried by watching this video then you are soulless I used to play a lot of halo pvz Peggie toys story 3 angry birds fruit ninja Helex Minecraft slender and many many more they really helped me in my life when I was in school I used to be have no friends and would cry my self to bed as a kid even being bullied in school even being beaten up and I usually think about death to myself until when I played theses games with my parents to make me happy Not only that they were cheap to get and they were amazing seeing them going to get removed really just really hurts but it had to be over at some point.

@@AtlasCesarone example is the original COD. COD classic was ported to 360 and now the only way to get it is an unsealed hardened edition of MW2 which is hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
This is exactly why I can't stand Microsoft, or any big corporation for that matter. 360 era was PEAK gaming. Back when you could guy a game and have it all one the disc. No lootboxes, micro transactions and proper multiplayer! The COD era was the best. We had Gears of War! Red Dead Redemption. FIFA before Ultimate Team greed.
It was my favorite and the best era of gaming for me along with gameboy advance and ps2, I miss playing gta4 online with my friends and the first Minecraft versions and black ops 1. I honestly feel like I took Xbox 360 for granted once it became old gen, it was fun growing up and playing all of these games. I bought as many as I could before it’s over.
I recommend adding a credit card (or debit) if you’re trying to purchase through the actual Xbox 360 marketplace. Or, you can try on the Xbox.com website, and search up 360 content and pay however you’d like 💯
last month I started to consider buying an xbox 360 with rgh because for 10 years it has been my dream to have one, but for some reasons I couldn't get it, I decided to have it with rgh due to the store closing and because in the city where I live it is impossible to find games from that console in physical format, it saddens me that when I get it I will not be able to live the complete experience of the console, I will not be able to buy games in the store, I will not play the games created by the community, I will not be able to buy accessories to my avatar and I won't be able to play the wonderful online service it has, but even then I will be happy because after so much time I will finally have the best console in history :)
Recently ive been digging through the marketplace for the best of the best items. The sheer amount of things uploaded to the marketplace over the years it just crazy. Also, 5:50 i still remember this was the first gamerpic pack i EVER bought.

I was sponsored by NOS Energy Drinks for Major League Gaming for Halo Reach in SWAT. I lost my mother while depending on this console to save me. This console may not mean much to most people, but for this individual. It was everything. You are not alone in this grieving process. I gained and lost everything through the Xbox 360. I don't care what anyone says the xbox 360 was the last great console generation for Microsoft and even the same with the PlayStation 3 and I've never been more disappointed in a generation than the series X and the PlayStation 5 I remember playing some great games for the first time for the 360 Quake 4 Condemned rest in peace Xbox Marketplace.
I'm very glad that i took a part of this generation of gaming (anonymously), but still knowing that some people weren't interested in this massive journey. I feel bad for those who'll Never understand the fact that we (the mature communities) would Not be able to let them experience all of it exactly the same way as we did, because of the greedy old humans who are at the top (always were) and CANNOT be taken away.

I never grew up with Xbox but I can understand your guy's pain regardless. The only times I've ever played Xbox was at a friend's house whenever I had the chance to visit. I remember playing some Co-Op games with a couple of my friends llke Mortal Kombat 9, Left 4 Dead (both entries), Gears of War, and even Call of Duty (Black Ops 1 was my first COD game). Right now I'm trying to get into the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, and I want to start with the definitive versions of 1 and 2. It's a shame I won't be able to play those unless I get a modded Xbox 360 with all the games in the console's history. Yes I could also play them on an emulator, but I don't know how much progress Xemu and Xenia has made. Do they work just as good other popular emulators now? I'm also going to miss those old school 360 Avatars, I loved the way they looked. I just wish people ripped the models and as much accessories as possible.

Personally, I like the xbox 360 avatars more than the Miis. Both are great and nostalgic, but the Xbox 360 avatars have way more customization. Its kinda sad they don’t use avatars for the newer Xbox consoles

Another end of an era, and for me it was the end of console gaming in general, i never bought any modern console after my xbox 360, only PC.
This feels wierd to be honest, i grew up with ps1, ps2, i have seen the ps1 era come to an end as a kid, ps2 era coming to an end as a teen, and now as an almost thirty year old adult im seeing the xbox 360 THE console of my teenage years, also fading away.... The years have passsed and i lost all touch with modern gaming, i dont even recognize the gaming scene i grew up in no more..
All good things must come to an end, im just happy i was there to witness it all in its full glory

If you did not cried by watching this video then you are soulless I used to play a lot of halo pvz Peggie toys story 3 angry birds fruit ninja Helex Minecraft slender and many many more they really helped me in my life when I was in school I used to be have no friends and would cry my self to bed as a kid even being bullied in school even being beaten up and I usually think about death to myself until when I played theses games with my parents to make me happy Not only that they were cheap to get and they were amazing seeing them going to get removed really just really hurts but it had to be over at some point.

@@AtlasCesarone example is the original COD. COD classic was ported to 360 and now the only way to get it is an unsealed hardened edition of MW2 which is hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

360 era was PEAK gaming. Back when you could guy a game and have it all one the disc. No lootboxes, micro transactions and proper multiplayer!
The COD era was the best. We had Gears of War! Red Dead Redemption. FIFA before Ultimate Team greed.
It was my favorite and the best era of gaming for me along with gameboy advance and ps2, I miss playing gta4 online with my friends and the first Minecraft versions and black ops 1. I honestly feel like I took Xbox 360 for granted once it became old gen, it was fun growing up and playing all of these games. I bought as many as I could before it’s over.

For a person born in 04 im glad I grew up in the 360 era
last month I started to consider buying an xbox 360 with rgh because for 10 years it has been my dream to have one, but for some reasons I couldn't get it, I decided to have it with rgh due to the store closing and because in the city where I live it is impossible to find games from that console in physical format, it saddens me that when I get it I will not be able to live the complete experience of the console, I will not be able to buy games in the store, I will not play the games created by the community, I will not be able to buy accessories to my avatar and I won't be able to play the wonderful online service it has, but even then I will be happy because after so much time I will finally have the best console in history :)

I don't care what anyone says the xbox 360 was the last great console generation for Microsoft and even the same with the PlayStation 3 and I've never been more disappointed in a generation than the series X and the PlayStation 5 I remember playing some great games for the first time for the 360 Quake 4 Condemned rest in peace Xbox Marketplace.

I feel bad for those who'll Never understand the fact that we (the mature communities) would Not be able to let them experience all of it exactly the same way as we did, because of the greedy old humans who are at the top (always were) and CANNOT be taken away.

I never grew up with Xbox but I can understand your guy's pain regardless.
The only times I've ever played Xbox was at a friend's house whenever I had the chance to visit. I remember playing some Co-Op games with a couple of my friends llke Mortal Kombat 9, Left 4 Dead (both entries), Gears of War, and even Call of Duty (Black Ops 1 was my first COD game).
Right now I'm trying to get into the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, and I want to start with the definitive versions of 1 and 2. It's a shame I won't be able to play those unless I get a modded Xbox 360 with all the games in the console's history.
Yes I could also play them on an emulator, but I don't know how much progress Xemu and Xenia has made. Do they work just as good other popular emulators now?
I'm also going to miss those old school 360 Avatars, I loved the way they looked. I just wish people ripped the models and as much accessories as possible.
