IN this video Heimler shows you two examples of how federalism has played out in the United States over the last ten years. The first example is the United States' on-again-off-again relationship with the environmental regulations that come with membership in the Paris Agreement. The second example is the legalization of marijuana in some states while it remains illegal federally.
In this way, states are like laboratories of democracy in which the federal government can see how certain places play out before deciding if they're a good fit nationally.
Thanks for carrying me through AP World, APUSH and now AP gov

I'm not taking AP Gov (my school doesn't offer it) but I've been with you for WHAP and APUSH and wanted to say hi again 👋
I downloaded an extension to watch videos in 3x speed. I am lieerally going through the entire course in 1 night
But you had 4 more months to do this! I’m not even resorting to that and I only have this weekend.

-10th provision explains federation (reserved powers r for the states)
-14th: bill of rights to states
-commerce clause: congress regulates commerce
-necessary and proper clause/elastic clause
-full faith and credit clause: states must respect each others laws
cases:
mclough v md: established that federal law supersedes state law aka supremacy clause, and (used the necessary and proper clause to make a bank)
