I enjoyed visiting with you and seeing the stitching and projects you have kitted ready to go. Love your floss tube can’t wait for your next. Blessings.
A fantastic first Flosstube Lisa! Your stitching is always beautiful and your personality is so lovely. I'm looking forward to many more videos from you! 😍♥️
Thank you, Lisa! What fun it's been spending time with you and your stitching today. I absolutely LOVE Williamsburg! I really look forward to visiting there again someday.
Great information. You are already a pro! I am a member of the Western Reserve Sampler Guild. Keep us updated on your projects. Lots of stitchy inspiration. Thank you.
It’s quite easy to be kind with the comments… you were amazing! Your stitching projects are beautiful, you have a beautiful smile and your content is great! I started at #4 and now I am back to the beginning to see what I missed. Well done Lady H!
Welcome to flosstube Lisa. I have been waiting for you to do a video of your own. I am so glad that you have. I loved seeing all of your stitching. Looking forward to your next one. Nerissa
I just found your flosstube and love it! I watched your most previous video and so now going back to the beginning and watching forward. Love your style and your stitching! The ornaments that you have stitched are beautiful and so sweet! Looking forward to watching all your videos!❤
Lisa, Congratulations !! You seem to be an expert already on Flosstube. I found you on your forth video and had to come back to the beginning. Love your meticulous smalls
Hi, Lisa, I came over from Carol, Saltbox Stitcher. You did a great job on your first video. I really enjoyed seeing all the variety of your stitching projects. As a fellow FlossTuber (my channel is The Just BeeCuzz Buzz), I try to stay organized by keeping a notebook for each episode I record. I write down each item I show, then I can refer back to my notes when I am preparing for the next video. As far as the piles of stitching to clean up afterwards, well I guess that is just part of the happy 😊process of being floss tuber. I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Sylvia at the Teresa Kogut retreat at Craft Gallery in May. She is a gem and loved visiting with her. Hope you have great success with your channel. Take care and Happy Stitching! 🧵
Thank you for watching. I have a notebook too. I think it will really help moving forward. Thanks for letting me know about your channel. I will definitely check it out. I really miss my friend Sylvia. We have a wonderful time together .
Hello, old friend! I was so excited to see you on FlossTube-what a joy to see you and your beautiful pieces. You did a fabulous job. You are so talented and inspiring, as you have always been to me. ♥️
Chesapeake is beautiful. I love living in VA. The summers don’t really bother me because believe it or not, I think the summers in Philadelphia are worse! I lived in the Philadelphia area for a number of years when I first got out of collage.
So glad to find your new floss tube, and such a lovely clear presentation! I hope you will demonstrate some of your finishing techniques, particularly the little box cushions ❤
Thank you . I’ll think about doing some finishing videos although on the HOD website there are amazing finishing directions that you are directed to on her chart for the block party pieces
Hi, I’m Deb rom Ontario Canada. I loved your video and have added you to my que to watch while stitching. You have beautiful and varied projects and I’m the same. I like to stitch all sorts of things. I started stitching in a Home Economics class. We had a really good teacher and she taught us cross stitch and crewel work as well as machine sewing skirts and blouses. I have been doing needle work, sewing, quitting, knitting and crochet for many years. These days I can only stitch on 14 or 16 ct Aida but I still enjoy cross stitch so much. You ladies on Floss tube are truly my stitching companions as I know no one else that enjoys my craft. I’ll be looking for another video from you soon. You did great!
Thank you very much . I enjoy listening / watching FT videos as I stitch too . Stitching brings me such peace . I’m already thinking about my next video
Great flosstube! I too work in the OR. I’m a nurse anesthetist and work at a pediatric hospital in Minneapolis, I’ve been there for 27 years! I think nurses tend to be detailed and cross stitching is a nice outlet for us. Looking forward to your next flosstube!
Welcome to flosstube! It's funny that you talk about borders, because that's what I'm stitching while I watched your video. I'm stitching the border first, and it's good that I am, because I don't have much extra fabric around the border, and I probably would have messed up, if I did the design first. Now, I know it will all fit. When I'm getting ready to film my flosstube videos, I try to gather everything in front of me, make a short list to follow, and I put something above the camera lens on my phone, so I remember to look there, instead of at what I see on the phone. I'm a monogamous stitcher, so my videos are usually shorter than most, because I don't usually have wips to show.
Hey! Hello! Fellow RN Stitcher here! I heard about your Flosstube from my friend Phoebe of Moon Shine Stitchery. I’m from Wisconsin and my first retreat will be at Country Sampler so I’ll see you there!! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and beautiful stitching with us! XOXO Heidi
Enjoyed your floss tube, keep them coming. As a fellow RN(ER) for 43years,retired a little over a year ago,I have stitched more this past year than the previous 10. Kit up those kits for later enjoyment if you don’t get to them right away. I have finished several large pieces from years ago with several recently acquired haul.
I plan on retiring when I can get Medicare. ( will stay per diem though)Thank you for your kind comments . ☺️ ( I get re- tired every day I go to work! 🤣)
Fun Fun video, great job! I enjoyed seeing the projects in your pile and hearing about the different stores/retreats. I also love that you are a nurse - I am just now retired after 40+ yrs. I don't even know how so much time went by. Like you said job takes time and the best part of being retired is my time is my own. I can stitch if I want, quilt if I want, garden if I want and play with my dogs! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos, have thought about it but just dont know about being consistent!
So glad you enjoyed my video ! Just do it! It took me a long time to film my own but it has been very validating . As soon as I am old enough for Medicare , I will retire. I’m looking forward to my time being my own and being able to travel more with my husband . I will most likely stay per diem though . Im not looking at any video schedule. Just going to film when I can and when I feel like it.
I enjoyed your video very much! I love your pattern choices, and since I am a newbie at Cross-Stitching I am a sponge at trying to learn so much, and all your kits you have has encouraged me even more! I am looking forward to watching you again and seeing how you complete your samplers (my favs) and all the decor kits, too! Happy Summer! 👍🥰
Great video. Love seeing your beautiful stitching. Love your sampler wall. Love seeing your haul. I've always wanted to go to Virginia. I live in Arkansas. Don't have any stitching gills around here. I have one friend that stitches. No cross stitch shops near me. There's one 130 miles from me. I'm stitching on Bird Of A Feather sampler Sally Spencer now. Also Quaker Christmas 11 . Love it. Hope yuo do another video.
Well lucky me, the algorithms said ‘hey Nic you should watch this’ and so I did! I didn’t think you sounded nervous at all, it felt like visiting with a friend! I’m going to catch myself up on your other videos while I stitch over the next couple evenings. Your projects were so beautiful! Thank you for sharing them! - take care, Nic in New Zealand 🇳🇿 xx
You're a natural and so easy to listen to. Came across you by chance, and pleased I did. See you on your next video. love you projects and all your new stitch goodies
What a wonderful first video and I love all your projects. I was at Salty Yarn for the grand opening as well. I stocked up on linen and threads and the list goes on. We just happened to be on vacation at Bethany Beach that weekend. We also went into town and it was so lovely. It really is the perfect place for them. Have fun at your retreat and happy Stitching.
Thank you. Isn’t the new Salty Yarns shop totally over the top! Love it! I agree that Berlin is the perfect place for them as well. I did a lot of stocking up when I was there too.
I wanted to say hello and let you know how much I enjoyed this floss tube! I live in Norfolk, Virginia, and it's nice to see a flosstube from someone in our area!. I enjoyed everything you showed today, and I'm looking forward to your future post!
Loved seeing this. I watch Sylvia too. Hard to keep up with all the flosstubers but I love it. As for being organized with recording can be a challenge. I’m only in a year and a half and still figuring it all out. Being a multi crafter my content is scattered and I definitely don’t have many finishes under my belt but I just love the community and sharing all we love to do. Look forward to watching all yours. Welcome to the flosstubers community! You did great. Your right about the accountability it makes me want to keep at it.
Great first flosstube - loved seeing your finishes and WIPs! I’ve just stitched my first piece on 40 count - quite liked it but I did need readers over my contacts!
You did a fantastic first Flosstube, Lisa!!😍 I loved seeing everything you shared! As for the “mess” at the end of filming, if you figure out how to “fix” it, please let me know. It happens - every time!🤣 Thank you for sharing with us. 💚Michele
I look forward to many more videos from you! I love the finishes that you shared in this video. Some projects I've never seen before. And, yes please, share a "parade" of your Merry Cox projects. I took my first class from her in January at The Attic's Sampler Symposium. She is amazing. I think viewers would love seeing some tutorials about how you have finished many of your projects. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Thank you. I surely do have a lot of Merry Cox totally finished as well as some kits I haven’t gotten too. She is so talented. I’ll have to think about some tutorials
I enjoyed visiting with you and seeing the stitching and projects you have kitted ready to go. Love your floss tube can’t wait for your next. Blessings.

Great to “ know” another OR pal! Wouldn’t it be fun if we worked together! I don’t work with any stitchers. They totally don’t get it 😆

Welcome !!!!!
I always start at the top and work down. For borders I like to start the top border first then each side. Then I work on the inside.
Thanks - That is a great way to approach things too!
