hey man!!!! I have a really really important question. i am a 16 year old girl, want to be an MRI tech. I am super smart and I have the intellect but I am extremely weak, can't lift more than 20 pounds. Is the job physically demanding? Will I need to start lifting weights??
Definitely start lifting weights 💪🏽 not only is it need on the job it's an essential way to live your life!. Soo many benefits. My some is 12 and he lifts regularly . I think the min require ment is to lift like 30-35lbs
Hi! I’m pretty new here. I started a brand new masters program in imaging sciences last fall. We’re currently working on our RT certification and my clinicals in the hospital have been brutal. We start CT in the Fall and start MRI next spring. Did you do RT before getting into MRI? I’m really looking forward to MRI but I’m pushing through the RT stuff right now and it’s been rough.
I have a question bro, I want to work as a MRI technologist, and I found a school that has a MRI tech program in Los Angeles, but I keep hearing from everyone that is better to become a radiologic technologists first and then become a MRI tech, is that true? If I do an MRI tech program only is it going to be more difficult to get a job?
There are so many jobs out there for MRI techs. Doing RT first makes it easier in the long run so you can get x ray license and mri certifications. But being an MRI tech is different, and you get a far more in depth perspective and ability if you go through the accelerate (typically 2 year) schooling. If you’re in the market for a job, try a mri tech aid job and you’ll get an idea of how it works.
